Chapter: struggle

So Inuyasha had let himself be beaten up. How did he earn such traitor friends? On the one hand he was of course happy that Linn hadn’t left her right away, but he was also afraid that something might happen to her. And that would really be nothing unusual on this dangerous journey. But now there were seven of them and for Inuyasha it meant even more tension. All members of this group had their own skills - Sango was good at handling the boomerang and Kiara also made sure that nothing happened to her, Miroku had his black hole and also his skills as a monk, Shippo was small and fast and Kagome was there too the bow got better and better - but nevertheless Inuyasha felt like her protector. Through his strength and also with the help of Tessaiga he had always managed to save them all from every dangerous situation, but slowly he also felt the limits of his strength.Would he be able to protect his little sister? He tried to get these thoughts out of his head. He just had to do it! Nobody would bend a hair Linn without feeling his tremendous revenge! Inuyasha looked around. Linn was deep in conversation with Kagome. But when she felt his gaze, she looked at him and smiled. She didn't seem scared at all. Was he really worrying unnecessarily? Was Linn really as strong as she pretended to be? He should have tested her. Maybe he should encourage Miroku to touch her to test her defensive reaction ... No, that would really go too far!

Suddenly Inuyasha stopped. Something was strange. He looked up and saw that the sky had darkened. What was going on? His feeling told him that something evil was on its way. Kiara also seemed to have smelled something and began to growl angrily. "What do you two have?" Linn asked, but the question was superfluous.A large, dark figure appeared in the sky and approached them quickly. It was a large two-headed monster with two other figures riding on its back. The monster landed on the forest floor and the larger of the two figures jumped off his back. "Sesshoumaru!" Inuyasha hissed when he recognized his brother. "What do you want here?" - "Well, Inu Yasha. Not at all pleased to see me?", Sesshoumaru whispered venomously. "You're breaking my heart." - "Shut up your stupid sayings you loudmouth and get out of here before I get you legs!" Inuyasha barked. Now Yaku, Sesshoumaru's disgusting little helper, had climbed off the monster's back and was tugging his master's robe. Angry, Sesshoumaru leaned down to him and Yaku whispered something to him. He pointed to Linn with his slimy fingers. Sesshoumaru looked in their direction and stopped short. "A new addition?" He asked. "Keep your dirty fingers off of her!" Inuyasha hissed and stood protectively in front of Linn."Oh, do you have a little girlfriend? I thought the bow girl was your eye star. You can never get enough, can you?", Sesshoumaru grinned devilishly. Inu Yasha was about to throw something terrible at him, but then Linn stood in front of him and shouted: "I am definitely not Inu Yasha's girlfriend, but his sister. Just so that you know! I don't know who you are but I already don't like you! "Oh no, that was just missing! If Linn had been just any girl to Sesshoumaru, she might have sneaked away unnoticed, but Sesshoumaru had just found out that this was Inu Yasha's and at the same time his sister. Even if he wouldn't believe her this story, it was definitely the focus of his interest now. "His sister? So so ... but excuse my rudeness. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Sesshoumaru. Come here and have a look, sister. ", Sesshoumaru said sweetly." Kagome, you have to go with Linn! ", Inuyasha called and pushed himself in front of his sister. Kagome grabbed the reluctant Linn by the arm and ran with her towards the forest." You want to leave us already? But that's not very nice! ", Sesshoumaru hissed and shot past Inu Yasha. He had almost reached the two girls and brought out his sharp claws to strike, but Inu Yasha was also quick and was able to block his older brother at the last second.Kagome ran on but Linn had stopped. Inuyasha had a tough exchange with Sesshoumaru. Fists flew and the two moved so fast that it was difficult to watch their fight. "Why don't you draw your sword, Inuyasha? Has it become too difficult for you?" Sesshoumaru shouted maliciously. How did he know? How had Sesshoumaru found out that Inuyasha was still having trouble leading Tessaiga since it was reforged? Was he spying on him? Inu Yasha's mind raced. Sesshoumaru had speculated on that. He used Inu Yasha's brief inattention and started to strike to finish off his brother for good. But he didn't get to that. He was thrown back and a sharp pain shot through his body. Linn had jumped at Sesshoumaru from the background, grabbed his arm and then bit his hand with all her sharp fangs. Both brothers stood motionless for a moment.Sesshoumaru looked at his hand. Blood flowed down his arm from the deep wound and stained the sleeve of his robe red. "You dare ..." Sesshoumaru hissed, trembling with anger. Inuyasha was about to take advantage of his brother's injury to attack when he heard a scream. He turned to see Kagome cornered by Yaku. He had followed her secretly and was now aiming his staff at her. He would destroy this annoying human girl once and for all! Then his master Sesshoumaru would finally be proud of him and perhaps no longer treat him so condescendingly. "KAGOME! NO !!", Inuyasha yelled and ran as fast as he could towards the two of them. But Yaku had already fired a huge ball of fire from his staff. Inuyasha jumped in fearlessness and was hit by the full force of the fireball. He hit the ground unconscious. Linn gave a scream and ran to her brother. Yaku was about to use his weapon again, but suddenly the staff was knocked out of his hand.Sango had hit him with her boomerang and threw him a few meters through the air. The now helpless Yaku ran as fast as his stubby legs could carry away and Sango after him. Miroku saw his chance. He would protect the girls and thus collect plus points with Linn. He bravely stood up in front of Sesshoumaru. "You won't hurt them, Sesshoumaru!" He shouted loudly. Sesshoumaru looked at him contemptuously and then looked at his bleeding hand again. "I won't waste my time with you, monk. But I'll leave you a little present," he replied and whistled briefly through his teeth. Suddenly there was a loud hissing sound and a huge snake crawled out of the undergrowth. "Come on, Nabiki, here are some small appetizers for you." Sesshoumaru whispered to the demon and the snake came threateningly closer. "I'm going to leave you now. Have fun!", Sesshoumaru shouted, jumped on his monster and took off with it."You coward!", Miroku shouted after him, but a moment later Sesshoumaru was already gone. Instead, the snake slowly began to circle around Miroku and stare at him with its sparkling yellow eyes as if it wanted to hypnotize him. "Dodge monster or you will make the acquaintance of my black hole!" Shouted Miroku. "Watch out for Miroku!" Shippo chirped. "This creature is definitely poisonous. Don't you remember what happened to you the last time you sucked Naraku's poisonous giant insects into your black hole?" Miroku remembered the pain he had to endure and also very well of the dangers involved, but now he had no choice. He had to destroy this demon to save the others. The beast pounced on him and Miroku was about to open his black hole to suck it in when a bright light blinded him and he heard a slitting sound.When his vision was no longer impaired, he saw Inuyasha and the snake demon lying dead in front of him. How had Inuyasha done it again? He had just been lying on the ground unconscious and now he defeated a giant snake in one fell swoop. This half-demon really had inexhaustible reserves and an iron fighting spirit. "Thank you Inuyasha, but I could have done it on my own. I thought you were hurt.", Miroku said and slapped the dog demon on the shoulder in appreciation. He turned his head to him and once again Miroku was frightened. In front of him he did not see Inuyasha but Linn, who looked at him wordlessly. Miroku turned in disbelief and looked at the place where Inuyasha had previously fallen to the ground. In fact, it was still there. "But how ...?" Stammered Miroku. But then Linn suddenly rolled her eyes and sank to the floor. Miroku caught her and hugged her.
