Chapter: Part 18
Part 18
Both stepped calmly towards the fighting ring. Their steps were absolutely synchronized. 'We both have a goal, but only one can achieve it, brother.' Andra thought wistfully. She knew her cover would now be blown. So she sincerely hoped that her two years of hard training had been enough to be at least equal to Ve.
Their height wasn't much different. For outsiders, it seemed as if relatives met there in the ring.
The murmur from the box was not hidden from Andra. In the past year she had grown even more like Vegeta. Nevertheless, she kept her own character.
Vegeta didn't really care. He would just blow this girl out of the ring and then measure himself against Kakarott. When did that stupid referee let the fight begin? He barked impatiently at the commentator to finally get down to business.
"Yes / Yes." replied the frightened and finally released the ring.Andra immediately took up a defensive position.
Vegeta looked very puzzled. Actually, he had expected an immediate attack. But if she wanted to let him take the first step, please.
With a grim grin, he sent her a barely recognizable charge of energy. Very weak, but certainly enough to get the girl out of the ring.
Andra was really disappointed. Did the prince judge her so weakly? With a simple wave of her hand, she flung the bead away. "So please. A little more seriousness, Your Majesty." she called over to her prince.
Amazed, Chichi, Bulma and the rest of the group Z who were present looked into the arena. How did the girl know of Vegeta's high position? Something was wrong.
"Picollo, just say you knew that from the beginning." Gohan reprimanded his mentor.
He just gave a sour "Grrrmpf" and was silent on the questions. He was supposed to be silent on Dende, so he did, period.
Goku was just as surprised. But what was wrong with his previous opponent? He's trembling terribly.
Spurred on by her reputation, Vegeta launched a frontal attack.
Hardly visible to the audience, Andra dodged his over-rapid blows. What he had in strength, she could make up for in speed. But that wasn't enough to win.
Angry about not catching his opponent, he shot this one weak FinalFlash.
Andra caught a thunderbolt and dodged down.
Without a lot of reading, both had gone into the air fight.
The people watched their movements in astonishment. But as so often before, both disappeared before the eyes of the audience. Slowly some people began to wonder who these guys really were. No normal person could move that fast!
Something similar was going on in the lodge. Only that Picollo was visibly annoyed by the constant questions from the others.
They excitedly discussed what Andra's appearance could mean.Andra, meanwhile, was facing real difficulties. Vegeta just didn't give up. She had already taken a few violent blows. Just a little more and she had to give up. But her thick-headed Saiya-jin man told her that was not possible. Losing to the prince was no shame.
But before she wasted unnecessary time with another fight against Lüze'um, she wanted to get her victory here. But how do you think about the mass of kicks and punches?
Vegeta noticed that here he had a somewhat worthy opponent in front of him. Well, her styles left a lot to be desired, but there was a lot of potential in this girl. He almost got carried away to teach this "brat" after the tournament. Only his pride prevented the last step towards the offer.
With a hard kick-punch combination in Andra's stomach and back, he pushed the young thing to the ground.
The girl dug laboriously out of the newly created hole in the ring.Andra was forced to use her special attack early. But .. No, she didn't want that. There had to be another way!
The no Ouji was already approaching.
Suddenly she got the idea. Scraping together her last reserves of strength, Andra concentrated her energies in five rings of light.
Vegeta took a swing and ...
Andra threw the rings at him with an outcry.
When the dust settled again, a tied prince was lying on the lawn. In a rage, he simply tore the energy rings, kicked the edge of the ring and plodded back into the hall.
Andra was breathing heavily and just dropped to the floor. Unable to move, she just breathed out in gusts. This "puppet game" she had succeeded in the last second. She had connected the rings of light with thin threads of energy and pinned them to her opponent's extremities.
Bound like that, Vegeta hardly had a chance to curb his momentum. Andra had pulled him out of the ring unchecked; with just one hand."I'm sorry Vegeta-kun, but it had to be." she whispered weakly.
The crowd in the stands was amazed. What was that again? Some people now thought it was a trick. Others did not know how to classify it.
Only gradually the referee was amazed: "And ... AND THE WINNER IS LYDIA HAGEN."
More sleepwalking than awake, Andra endured the honor.
The loud cheers of the people drowned out everything. Even Yaka and Rey couldn't stop their joy. For the two of them it was more than just an easy win. You had won a war!
Lüze'um and his four subordinates had fled the premises. Little by little one after the other disappeared. Nobody heard the echoing screams.
Son-Goku looked astonished at the second finalist. He hadn't trusted her to do something like that. A simple person who defeated the great Vegeta no Ouji.
Accordingly, Vegeta came back in a bad mood.Once again, his pride did not allow himself to be a good loser. But one thing he swore to himself, he would discover the secret of this brat. And if he had to put her over his knee for it.
There was great excitement in the box. Bulma was very upset. Beloved Vegeta, defeated just like that! From a girl barely older than Gohan when he was at Cell.
Angrily she let her powerful organ announce: "Now please tell us who that is."
Picollo's ears rang terribly. Tormented, he gave in a little: "Yes, it's okay. I know who that is. But I still can't say it."
"And why not?" asked Bulma pointedly. She was obviously tired of always being the ignorant.
"She asked me to." growled the great Namek. Scratched, he disappeared from the room to the shouts of the other Z-lers before his friends made him even more weary.
Andra staggered back into the hall rather than leaving. Visibly exhausted, she wanted to use the last break before the final to relax. After all, it was now against the best of the best.
Goku watched her go. The girl had really gotten into the fight. It was more likely that she was giving up than fighting. With the best will in the world, she couldn't get another bundle of strength like Vegeta; so his thoughts.
-----
At last it was time. The final could begin. The last people were still looking for their place on the trinunes. The babble of voices slowly subsided.
The mood in the box above the hall was gloomy. Everyone wanted to know who this young lady was who defeated Vegeta. But one thing was certain. Without the agreement that no SSJ status could be used, she would certainly not have won!
Picollo was silent and Vegeta made a three-day rainy face as always. It just wouldn't cross his mind how that brat had done it. Especially this applied technique; He was more likely to trust Kakarott than a simple person.
He did not react at all to Bulma's attempts at comfort. He more or less pushed his pride aside in these deliberations. Maybe Vegeta could squeeze his opponent later if they were undisturbed.
Son-Goku paced excitedly up and down the hall. The break was over soon and this Lydia was still not there.
The commentator's call brought him back from his thoughts.
"The finalists are invited into the ring. Last call for the finalists!"
Shaking his head, the Saiya-jin made his way into the ring. Behind him he heard a hurry and turned halfway.
There she stood, the conqueror of no Ouji. Panting, she propped herself up on her knees and gasped: "Sorry, didn't go any faster."
With a serious but also joyful nod he quit the apology. Whoever she was, the girl had his respect.
"Would you go into the ring, please. We're waiting." the referee kindly asked both of them.
"On my way." Lydia grinned and marched up the steps next to Goku. Both opponents took their places on the opposite side.
'Goku, I'll be a worthy opponent for you. I owe that to you after the botched rematch with Vegeta. ' the girl promised in her mind. You could no longer see her distress outwardly, but inside she was struggling a lot. Your reserves of strength were running out. A trained eye could see that. Nevertheless, she wanted to compete against her hero. Who got such a chance?
Goku was a little worried. He would have to be very careful. In contrast to her, he still had plenty up his sleeve.
After the start signal both stopped and looked at each other a little longer.
Goku: 'The little one is in a defensive position. She knows. She will lose. But she wants to fight in spite of it. ' inwardly he just shook his head. 'Like Vegeta being stubborn.'
Displeasure spread in the stands. How long did they want to stare at each other?A murmur filled the stadium.
Suddenly they were both gone. Again the sounds of bodies hitting each other echoed again. Here a flash of light, there a shadow. They watched in amazement and saw nothing at first.
In the box you would be amazed, only here most of the people saw what Goku and his opponent were doing. She really wasn't doing badly, only Lydia was inferior from the start.
Andra was able to intercept his blow just in time. 'Much too lax to really hurt me. You don't give it your all, Goku. 'Another hit-and-run combo fell on her. It was getting too much for her. With a neat kick she kicked her opponent away from her and landed in the ring.
Son-Goku landed a somersault not far from her. "Tired already?"
"Tz, only you think so." Andra grinned back and started the all-important scarf.
With a few smaller AI balls, she distracted her opponent and
