Chapter: Dream hike

> Hell ...... it's too bright! <
Reluctantly, I opened my eyes. The lamp on the ceiling of my room shone in its unnatural white light. I didn't like this light because it woke me up from my most beautiful dreams, morning after morning. I straightened up and let my gaze wander over the floor of the room. Apparently I didn't really feel like stowing my clothes neatly the previous evening, because they were scattered around wildly.
"Get up! I need help with breakfast."
That was my mother. Each time she marched past my room on the way to the kitchen to tear me out of my dreams. She was a pretty woman in her prime, and despite her irritating habit, I liked her very much.
So I jumped out of bed against my will. Still slightly dazed, I trotted into the bathroom. On my way to the door, I grabbed a few things from the chairs or the floor. I didn't care what I picked up there.
When I got to the bathroom, I stood in front of the mirror and looked carefully at my face. My hair, which was pretty messed up, fell over my eyes and I had to tame the stubborn strands with some clips. When I looked at it in the morning, I saw a few small scratches on my cheek that I didn't have yesterday.
"I slept restlessly," I muttered to my reflection in the mirror.
After a long shower, in which I was amazed at not a few bruises, I finally went to the kitchen to help my mother.
She really had her hands full, because with me, my three brothers and my father there were six of us in our small suburban house.
One by one, the rest of the family arrived and they greedily devoured their breakfast, which my mother and me had put so much effort into preparing.
Finally it was time for school. A horrible thought and I shook my head violently.A short time later I hurried up the stairs to my room, grabbed my school bag and was almost outside again when I felt the need to turn around again. I looked back over my shoulder, saw nothing that would have surprised me, except the terrible chaos, and raced off towards the front door.
However, behind the curtain on my window I had missed something ...

School was boring as always. I didn't have many people with whom I got along well and that's why it was difficult for me to get through the day.
Some even gave me a wide berth, because I had the reputation of a weird sixteen year old girl with weird hobbies and the most terrible character there is.
I had no idea how these rumors got started. I was really no different from the others and I didn't look repulsively ugly.
I looked down gloomily and realized that I wasn't wearing a bad outfit.Drowsy from sleep, I must have collected the right stuff from the floor. I wore wide jeans with holes on the knees and thighs and a black tight turtleneck. My hair was loose and a lot over my shoulders. Oh I hated that black hair for whatever reason. So I strolled across the school yard until I got to the classroom.
During class, I stared out the window and watched the birds wrangling in a cherry tree over the ripe cherries. 'Strange I haven't even noticed that ...' I thought again, a little tired. In the last two weeks I was noticeably often totally exhausted and took every opportunity to relax.
Slowly but surely, my head sank into my arms and I fell asleep in the middle of class ...

I jumped up nervously when someone poked me in the back from behind. I turned around and was about to shout what it was all about when I saw who was beating me up.
A little girl about four or five years old borrowed me with a stick in her back. She looked a little slender ... she was wearing a little red suit with a strange mark on the chest. Her hair wasn't very long and jet black, just like her eyes. When she noticed that I was awake, she smiled at me.
I was a little surprised about her, because what was such a little girl doing in my class?
I turned my head forward again and was startled again when I saw where I was. I was lying flat on my stomach in the middle of a meadow. There were some trees all around and huge fields spread out on the horizon. I was totally ecstatic and sat up quickly.
I looked down at the little one who was still grinning.
"Who are you?" I asked still very confused. "Where am I actually here? And why the hell am I lying in the middle of a meadow?"
I would have loved to take my legs in my hand and just run away.No idea why. Maybe hoping to hit a road or something.
"My name is Pan." the little one beeped at my feet. I looked down at her and couldn't shut my mouth.
Suddenly everything went black around me. I felt like I was falling when a familiar voice broke through to me.
"Mizuki! Mizuki you will probably wake up !!"
"Yes mom, I'll be right there," I growled.
There was already a roar of laughter. I shot up and looked into the laughingly twisted faces of my classmates.
My teacher didn't think it was that funny, because her little eyes narrowed to even smaller slits. I almost bet she'd jump at me to give me a proper opinion.
"Oh no, how embarrassing," I thought and turned bright red.
That day was one of the worst of my life. Or so it seemed to me.

As soon as I got home my brothers greeted me.
The smallest of them, Kito, was the first one around my neck a lot. He adored me as a big sister and I liked the feeling I got when he looked at me with his dark brown eyes. As if I was something special ...
The two twins directly behind him were very different. When they needed me, I was the dear big sister, but when I wanted to rely on them, I was often disappointed.
I trotted up the stairs, greeted my father briefly, who was writing one of his novels in his study, and then went straight to my room. I tossed my bag in the nearest corner and dropped onto my bed with a loud sigh. I lay there for a while, staring at the ceiling.
I didn't notice anyone was in my room giving me their full attention.
I had the feeling that I had to look at the window. But I was too tired ... way too tired.
'Strange' I thought before falling asleep one more time.

I woke up shortly afterwards. Something hit me hard and I straightened up. There she was again. The little girl who called herself Pan and was smiling at me again or still.
I rubbed my eyes and hoped it would go away when I got a clear thought, but it didn't. On the contrary, she began to babble cheerfully.
I didn't want to listen to her, so I looked around again. Then I was sitting on this huge meadow again.
> What do I do now? <was the only thing I could manage, because my head hurt like hell.
I looked back at the little figure who was pulling and pulling like crazy on my sleeve. I accepted it and got up. Slowly she padded ahead and I, no idea where I was and who I was in front of me, ran after her. After a few minutes it finally stopped.I felt like I had run for miles. The small piece of forest through which she led me gradually thinned out and gave a view of a clearing on which a small hemispherical house stood.
The little one pointed her finger at the house and then ran towards it.
I wanted to follow her, because I finally wanted to find out from someone what was happening here when my eyes closed as if by themselves and an oppressive blackness spread.
A warm breeze ran over my face and I opened my eyes, still slightly foggy. To my surprise, someone was leaning over my face so close that I could feel their breath.
I gave a short scream and crawled a few inches backwards. I didn't know this figure. And crouched on the head of my bed. > Gosh, I'm back home. Was it all just a dream? <
Suddenly the stranger laughed and looked at me. His eyes were green and unkind. He wore a black coat that reached to the floor and had silvery blond hair. I didn't see it exactly. And at first I didn't care, after all, he was standing in my room and I really didn't like that.

"What do you want from me!!" I snapped at him.
Again there was a short laugh and I felt slightly ripped off.
Then he opened his mouth to answer but didn't say anything, because at the same moment my brother Kito tore the door open. He stared at me like I was out of this world.
Amazed, I had averted my eyes from this stranger and looked at my brother, but when I noticed that it was only him, I quickly turned my head to the side again.
But the room was absolutely empty. There was only a small piece of paper at the point where it was just standing.
Kito was now walking through my room, carefully avoiding the clothes on the floor. He always did. Shortly before my bed he stopped and looked even more questioning than I did.
> It must look totally weird the way I sit around here, <I thought and jumped out of bed. I almost sagged again. My legs didn't want to stand right. I felt like I was after a hike. I picked up the piece of paper from the floor and examined it carefully.
There was a little note on it and I read it half aloud to myself.

You're the one. I found you.

In shock, I dropped the note again. My heart was racing and I didn't know why.
Kito picked up the piece of paper with interest while I stared at the wall.
Suddenly he tugged on my sweater. I looked down at him and he handed me the paper.
"Can you read this?" he asked me.
"Of course I can ....."
I broke off in the middle of the sentence because what was on the slip of paper was suddenly written in a completely different language. I had never seen symbols like this before and I was getting more and more restless.
Kito got
