Chapter II: The New Lord of Hell

A dark smile appeared on his black lips and a true darkness streamed from his red pupils.
<br />
The very short dark red hair was still on his head.
<br />
With his pointed nose and green skin, you might think that he was descended from a reptile. On his forehead was a blue star-shaped amulet that had a yellow gemstone in the middle.
<br />
Then his dark voice thundered. >> Well, Link! Surprised to see me, isn't it? As you can see, I've returned ... from hell !!! <<
<br />
I couldn't believe it. Was he dead and now alive again? This idea was absurd .....
<br />
Or is it true?
<br />
>> That can't be! How...? But you are alive <<, I just managed to stutter.
<br />
Ganondorf managed a whispered laugh.
<br />
>> Ha, ha! Yes I live! And do you know how I killed the lord of hell !!! <<
<br />
I couldn't utter a word. Lords of hell?There was something like that only in fairy tales!
<br />
>> What are you going to do, Ganondorf? <<, suddenly growled a, for me, well-known voice behind Ganon.
<br />
Ganondorf turned around with a smile.
<br />
>> My name is no longer Ganondorf, Deku-Baum! From now on my name is Ganon !! I am the new lord of hell! Because after destroying the old one, I released all hellish beings! You should already have fun in Hyrule! And the work that I started back then, I am now completing. Huh, huh, huh! <<
<br />
Suddenly something elongated hissed down at Ganon - a branch of the Deku tree.
<br />
But Ganon only touched the branch briefly with his index and middle finger and abruptly it stopped and began to burn.
<br />
>> Deku tree !!! No!! <<, I screamed desperately as the fire climbed up the branch and had almost reached the trunk.
<br />
>> Cut it off, Link! <<, the giant tree begged me desperately.<br />
With one jump I jumped over the burning branch and was about to cut it off when suddenly I was grabbed by an invisible force and thrown to the ground.
<br />
>> No !! <<
<br />
This power turned out to be Ganon's arm, which easily held me up and away from the branch.
<br />
I had to watch helplessly how gradually the whole tree began to burn.
<br />
When my rescue attempts ended with a kick in the back, I suddenly heard a low hum behind me.
<br />
>> Lyssa! But ... << As I turned around, I saw Lyssa holding up both her hands and smiling grimly at Ganon.
<br />
Blue threads of light swirled around her hands, increasing in number and forming a large ball.
<br />
>> Ha. You were too careless, Ganon! You probably thought that little girl like me couldn't do anything !? Thought wrong !! Ha!!! << The last words she screamed as the ball became more and more perfect and seemed to be approaching its climax.<br />
After a second or two, which seemed like an eternity, Lyssa spread both hands together and the ball of energy became a beam that shot straight at the Deku tree.
<br />
"Lyssa." I whispered as I felt Ganon's grip loosen.
<br />
>> Stop! <<, Ganon roared as he looked in the direction of Lyssa's water jet.
<br />
Suddenly his amulet glowed red and a huge beam of fire shot out of it.
<br />
The two beams hit each other with such force that deep cracks appeared at the point where they met.
<br />
> Madness! Who would have thought that Lyssa could do magic? But Ganon ...
<br />
He didn't even try and still parried Lyssa's beam without any problems. <<
<br />
<br />
Without warning, Ganon dropped me. I fell hard on the floor, but immediately got up again and looked into Ganon's scowl.
<br />
>> Just watch out, little one! I've become stronger, much stronger than when we last met.Just be careful or your dream will come true for you, elf boy! <<
<br />
Suddenly I felt an icy shiver.
<br />
>> What do you know about my dream? <<, I could just say when Ganon suddenly disappeared. From one minute to the next he was ... gone.
<br />
Then I started.
<br />
>> Lyssa! << With a jerk I turned in their direction, but there ........... no one was!
<br />
>> Lyssa !! Where are you? Answer !! << I shouted desperately and looked around hastily.
<br />
Then I remembered.
<br />
>> Deku tree !! <<
<br />
He was still standing. He hastily whipped out the fire with his branches and I tried to smother the fire with my shield.
<br />
After a while the fire was extinguished and I stood there exhausted and sad at the same time.
<br />
The tree suffered numerous burns and had several larger holes.
<br />
>> Link! * Cough * <<, the Deku Tree managed with a croak.
<br />
>> You ... you have to stop him!Go to Hyrule and visit the Zoras! They sure have some advice for you! <<
<br />
I looked up questioningly and couldn't suppress a tear.
<br />
>> Where's Lyssa? <<
<br />
As my words faded away in the eternal space, there was a seemingly endless silence, staring at the sky and closing my eyes as the huge tree gave a croaking gasp.
<br />
>> Ganon ... took her ....... with him ........... <<
<br />
I slowly opened my eyes and tried to hold back the urge for an angry cry of vengeance, but I couldn't.
<br />
>> RACHEEE !!!!!!!! <<
<br />
