Chapter: B / V - Moonstruck # 2
A / N: Yeah, a sequel. Great thing, right? Still, you shouldn't be too much
expect. Sumimasen!
Hello darkness, my old friend
I've come to talk with you again
Because a vision softly creeping
Left its seeds while I was sleeping
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of silence

In restless dreams I walked alone
Narrow streets of cobblestone
`Neath the halo of a street lamp
I turned my collar to the cold and damp
When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light
That split the night
And touched the sound of silence

And in the naked light I saw
Ten thousand people, maybe more
People talking without speaking
People hearing without listening
People writing songs that voices never share
And no one dared
Disturb the sound of silence

"Fools," I said, "You do not know
Silence like a cancer grows
Hear my words that I might teach you
Take my arms that I might reach you "
But my words, like silent raindrops fell
And echoed
In the wells of silence

And the people bowed and prayed
To the neon god they made
And the sign flashed out of its warning
In the words that it was forming
And the sign said, "The words of the prophets are written on the subway walls
And tenement halls "
And whispered in the sounds of silence-
He had kept his word.
Complete silence lulled Vegeta, the deepest blackness was infinitely far ahead
him. No arguments, no voice in the back of his mind to tell his
remembered upcoming fights that he couldn't win. And neither
the voice outside of his head. Her voice. Bulma's voice telling him things
brought back to mind that he no longer wanted to think about. His
Slip up. But that was all over now. At last.
Vegeta lowered his eyelids briefly and when he opened them again his
had gone
Environment transformed into a gloomy river system. The
was up to his knees
Saiyan in the cold water that rushed its way around his legs
sought to disappear around a bend in seconds. Slowly
Vegeta waded downstream.
"What did you do?" Whispered a low voice and the bare stone walls
threw back the echo several times. Nobody was in sight when Vegeta looked around,
so he went on.
"Why?"
"How could you leave me alone now?"
"Come back!"
The Saiyan quickened his pace, he couldn't complain anymore
Listen. After a few meters he came to a fork where an old
hooded boatswain seemed to be waiting for him with his ferry.
"You're Vegeta, aren't you? I'm Charon. Get in," he pointed to
his little boat, "I'll take you there."
The Saiyan obeyed without any objection and soon afterwards settled on a bench
sink from hard wood. Charon turned out to be a true tourist guide. "We
drive now on the Acheron - the river of suffering - it is actually already a
Electricity ... "
The flow of suffering was a fitting name. Vegeta shot a pain through the
Limbs, his heart contracted and breathing became a pain. * Why
are you doing this to me Vegeta? * he heard Bulma's voice. But he couldn't
remember ever hearing her say that. * I hurt you? And what about
me? *
Charon continued undeterred: "That's why you have to take the ferry to
here
to reach other banks ... "
Suddenly Vegeta knew what it was. It was the suffering he'd done her.
Had he hurt her that much? Was he that blind? So fixated on yourself
even that he had completely missed how he was destroying Bulma with it?
"The river you came from was the Cocytus - the plaintiff. He tells you,
whether someone mourns you. "Charon dipped the oar to the other side and
continued: "You have to go on alone. Just follow the course of the Acheron, he
brings you to Lethe - the oblivion. You have to drink from him to get your
to leave earthly life behind you so that you can continue your journey. You
will meet Styx, the hated one, but be careful not to lie, because he is
swear the Olympiads. At the end you have to cross the Pyriphlepeton,
then you have reached your goal. "
When Charon had finished they moored and Vegeta left the boat.
"Goodbye ... Just kidding, haha." The ferryman waved and was taken by the
Swallowed up darkness.
Vegeta turned and followed Charon's instructions.
A handful of fresh river water from the Lethe washed away any memory of his
Life away. Now the emptiness had reached his memory and it was greedy
devoured. There was nothing left that he knew, except that he was dead and
had to go on.
The Styx was the main stream and accordingly carried water. Vegeta ran on
Down the river bank. In the distance it shone in the midst of the eternal
Blackness. The closer the Saiyajin got to the source, the clearer it was
everything off: It was the Pyriphlepeton. The fire-burning river. * That's why
Charon doesn't translate the river name, Vegeta thought. * Didn't want me
put off ... *
The Pyriphlepeton encircled the triple wall of Tartaros. There to
It would take a long time and be painful because Vegeta should never
arrive. How Sisyphus never bring the rock up the mountain, Tantalos forever
stay hungry and thirsty and the 49 daughters of Danaos never the barrel
should fill, so Vegeta had to do his impossible task in it
see reaching the Tartaros.[JM: What kind of shitty ending? Huh? Are
foolish? ]-[MS: Would you please not my end through your - like you do it
