Chapter 3

“You ?!” He followed her sign. “How is she supposed to help me ?!” “With this one.” She held up a splinter of the shiko no tama. "What ..?" She walked up to Sam. However, Sesshoumaru blocked her way. "What is that supposed to do ?! Free the way!" "What are you going to do with the splinter ?!" "Stupid question! I will use it for her and make her so docile and now clear the way!" "And then what? ! "Sesshoumaru's voice grew louder. He didn't know why himself, but one thing was clear to him, he would never let that happen. Naraku wouldn't get it! "She has the trust of Inuyasha, Kagome, Shippo, Sango and Miroku. She could easily steal Tessaiga and the other splinters. That way everyone would have what they wanted." "Get out!" Confused, Kagura looked at him. "Let Naraku find someone else for it! I will get the sword honorable!" He pulled Toukijin and touched Kagura's throat with the tip of the latter.Deise immediately jumped back and disappeared. "Never .." He turned around and looked into Samira's questioning face. “Never what?” Her blue eyes reflected the sunlight. “Nothing.” His answer was harsh. “It's good. You don't have to get angry right away.” She turned around and wanted to cross the clearing. “Wait!” Sesshoumaru held her arm. "It wasn't meant like that ..." What was that again ?! Why did he apologize to her ?! After all, it was his way of being rude to everyone, she had to live with that. She smiled. "I know .." Then she continued on her way. For the first time, the demon didn't know what to say. That smile had clouded his head, all sensible thoughts simply erased, erased. There he stood now, the great youkai lord, staring at a simple human being.

I grinned. For the first time since I knew him, he was speechless. I felt his eyes and therefore walked extra slowly. I enjoyed making him do it.Like it or not, I slowly started to like him. I wondered if InuYasha and the others would come. I sat down under a tree across from Sesshoumaru and looked over at him. He was still there as it was before. He really seemed to be blown by the wind. Again I had to grin. “Sesshoumaru!” InuYasha jumped at Sesshoumaru, sword drawn. “InuYasha.” Indifference was reflected in her voice and eyes. The rest of the group came into the clearing too. They seemed to overlook me. InuYasha seemed to be waiting for an attack from Sesshoumaru's side. But it didn't move a millimeter.

To his astonishment, Sesshoumaru was not interested in the Tessaiga sword at the moment. Nor was he interested in a fight with his brother. He turned away. "HE! We're not done yet!" He didn't care that InuYasha was angry. He had other worries than being annoyed by his brother. He couldn't reach his strength anyway, because the half-demon could train for a long time.“Yes we are.” “InuYasha, let's find the girl and get out of here.” Miroku stepped next to InuYasha. He nodded. Seshhoumaru had refused the fight, so he had won. Kagome came up to Sam. “Come on.” “No.” “What ?!” InuYasha couldn't believe it. Is everyone really crazy today ?! His big brother didn't want to fight him, that's where he always started, and now he saved a girl who didn't want to be saved. No, it stayed with Sesshoumaru. Sesshoumaru had turned around too. Her words had more than confused him. She didn't want to be saved ?! That someone would rather stay with the kidnapper than be rescued was new to him. The other four probably too. They all looked at Sam in amazement. “You're not serious now ?!” Kagome was the first to find the language again. “Yes.” Samira couldn't be changed that easily. “The guy kills without batting an eyelid!” InuYasha tried again, again without success. The monk also bit on granite.She just didn't let anyone talk to her. InuYasha went back into the forest. “Well, we wanted to save you. Don't forget that.” With that he was gone, the other four followed him, mumbling. Something like that had really never happened to them.

I looked after them. Then I turned to Sesshoumaru. He still looked at me in amazement. I didn't understand why I said that myself. After all, he was rude and unfriendly, so I would have had better with the others. The whole time Rin had stood in silence at the edge of the forest and saw everything, including Sesshoumaru's "petrification". I went up to her. “What have you got there, Rin?” She immediately put her hands behind her back. "Rin, you can show me." I held out my hand to her. “No.” She ran away, straight to the demon. “Sesshoumaru-sama.” She clutched his leg. He returned to reality and carefully picked up the little girl. Now she was clinging to Fluffy. She probably didn't want to show me her "secret" at any price.I sighed and went to find something to eat. Searching I went through the forest around the clearing. Suddenly there was a big tree in front of me. I looked up and found delicious apples. Unfortunately, they hung a little too high for me. So I had no choice but to climb up. It turned out to be easier than I had initially thought. I picked a few and stowed them in my jacket, which I had converted into a pouch. I wanted to go back to earth when my fear of heights reappeared. I couldn't come down here alone. I looked around. There was no one to help me. I probably had to do without sesshoumaru, and I doubted that he would help me. They would still miss me because I was supposed to make the meal today and without me there wasn't any. So I probably had to sit here first. I sighed and looked around. The view from here wasn't bad. Where was the wrinkled face actually? Otherwise he annoyed everyone else or suckled himself into Sesshoumaru.I looked back at Sesshoumaru. I couldn't imagine that he was just killing and that he hated people, especially not going into my head. "Hey Sam!" I was frightened. Sesshoumaru stood in front of me. “Don't you want to come back down there slowly ?!” Looking up at me, slightly amused. "Well ... already ... just ..." He expected an answer. "... I can't." "And why?" Rin stood next to him. "I'm afraid of heights. Will you help me?" I looked at him. He grinned. “Rin?” “Yes?” Can you take this one and put it on the fire? "I threw my bundle of apples down for her. She nodded. I looked back at Sesshoumaru." Hold on tight. "Grinning, he stretched out both arms towards me. I looked at him with thanks and held me tight. Carefully he lifted me down. When I was eye level with him, my feet dangled in the air. For the first time I looked him straight in the eye and realized how beautiful they actually were. "Behind you! "Sesshoumaru put me down and turned around.
