Chapter: Girl talks

Thank you for your great clerks! And now here is the 9th chapter! First of all, I would like to say that this chapter differs somewhat from the others in terms of plot. I have decided that I want to expand the FF in general, which is why I want to go into the relationship between Kagome and Inu Yasha and also between Sango and Miroku from time to time. Chapter 9: Talking to Girls

Pretty soon after Kagome's and Kimie's arrival in the Middle Ages and the greeting that followed, the group was already on their way to look for more shards of jewels.After all, that was her main concern. Kimie was now told by the others what the Shikon no Tama was all about and what powers it had.
"Aha, so a single piece of jewelery already makes a demon much stronger than it already is?" She asked and earned a unanimous nod. "And do you also know where the other splinters are?"
"We once had a lot of them that also joined together to form a large splinter, but unfortunately it was taken from us.", Miroku explained, without mentioning that it was Kikyo who had taken the jewel splinter from Kagome . Inuyasha would certainly not have liked that very much. "Now we have to try to find at least the rest of them."
"And how are you going to do that?" Asked Kimie examiningly.
"Kagome can feel the jewel shards. This is a great advantage for all of us.", Shippo explained with a proud look at Kagome. Kimie was pleasantly surprised. "Really?That's great! "And with a slightly mischievous smile she added," You are really full of surprises, cousin. "
Kagome lowered his gaze, somewhat embarrassed, and smiled slightly. "Well ..."

"Ah ..." Kimie first had to go through this newly gained information more precisely. It was already clear to her that such a trip to the Middle Ages had some surprises in store, but something like what she had just heard confused her a little at first.
"You look a little pale, Kimie.", Kagome stated. “Would you rather stay out of it and turn around.” But when this question Kimie immediately shook her head decisively. "No. Now I've already made up my mind to come back here and I'm sticking to it."
"Without a weapon you won't be able to defend yourself well.", Inuyasha said and was probably right. Kimie had to admit that and looked down thoughtfully. But Kagome was optimistic. "Let's see, maybe we can find someone somewhere who can provide you with a sword.", She said to Kimie, who nodded slightly."Wouldn't be bad. Hopefully nothing too bad will happen by then. I wouldn't be a bother for you."
"Oh, don't worry! Everything will be fine!", Kagome replied confidently.
The group went on their way for a few hours undisturbed and a few topics of conversation were exchanged when Kagome suddenly stopped and said: "Wait! I feel a piece of jewelery approaching us quickly." Immediately all eyes were on the girl , which now turned backwards. “He's even coming right at us incredibly quickly.” And before anyone really knew what was happening, something shot past the group at high speed and blew an incredibly strong wind.
"My goodness! What's that now?", Kimie asked, arms raised in front of her face to protect herself from the wind when it suddenly subsided. The friends looked up and discovered an old acquaintance.“Hello!” A young man now stood in front of the group and raised his hand in greeting.
"It's you, Kouga!", Kagome stated surprised and now Kouga came directly towards her. "I scented you, Kagome, and thought I'd stop by for a minute."
Kimie only understood enough that the others seemed to know the newcomer. In a whisper she turned to Sango, who was standing next to her: "Who is that?"
"This is Kouga, a wolf demon.", Sango answered, just as quietly. "But don't worry, he's not an enemy."
"Aha." Kimie looked ahead again. Just as Kouga approached Kagome, Inuyasha stood in front of the wolf demon and glared at him. "What do you want here, Wolfchen?" Asked the Hanyou gruffly. "Leave Kagome alone! Do you understand?"
"Wolf?" Kimie raised an eyebrow in confusion. Apparently Inuyasha didn't like Kouga that much and that was probably mutual, as she could see at once. "I didn't talk to you, dog boy!", Kouga replied immediately and looked challengingly into Inuyasha's eyes.
"Dog boy? How are they?" Kimie turned to Sango again, but this time Shippo gave her the answer, albeit in a whisper: "Kouga and Inu Yasha always fight when they run into each other. Especially, when it comes to Kagome. Kouga is in love with her and keeps saying she is his wife. And Inuyasha is really jealous of him every time because of that. "
Kimie then scratched her cheek a little unsettled. "Oh Lord..."
In the meantime, Inuyasha was once again about to take Kouga's throat when Kagome stood between the two and held the Hanyou back. “Inu Yasha, don't get so excited again!” And before Inu Yasha could reply, Kouga suddenly held out a small bouquet of flowers to Kagome (see picture in the character description ^^). "Here, Kagome. A little attention from me," he said and smiled at her.Kagome was quite surprised, but then accepted the flowers with a pleased smile. "Oh, thank you, Kouga! That's really nice of you." Kouga threw a triumphant look at Inuyasha, who was quietly grumbling to himself. "Slime ..."
The wolf demon's eyes quickly caught on Kimie. He raised an eyebrow, a little surprised. "A new face?"
"Yes.", Kagome replied and beckoned Kimie over. "Kouga, this is my cousin Kimie. Kimie, this is Kouga. He's the leader of a wolf pack."
"Hello, I'm happy.", Kimie welcomed Kouga, who replied: "Likewise. So you're Kagome's cousin." Now his gaze fell on Inuki, who was standing behind his mistress. "A really nice dog," he remarked honestly.
"Thank you. His name is Inuki."
Inuki came out from behind Kimie and sniffed Kouga's hand, which he held out to the dog. Shortly afterwards, the mongrel seemed to have found confidence in the wolf demon and was willingly stroked by him."It reminds me a little of the wolves from my pack," said Kouga. Apparently the two had already made friends, which the others observed benevolently. Only Inuyasha still looked profusely chaste.
"So, Kouga, and now get out of here! Do you understand?" Said the Hanyou finally and drew his sword Tessaiga. “But first I'll get the jewel splinters out of your legs!” With that he attacked Kouga, who quickly dodged. Kimie had jumped a step back in shock. Now she was thoroughly confused. "What's going on now ?! I thought Kouga wasn't an enemy! Then why is Inuyasha attacking him?"
"Kouga has two jewel splinters in his legs.", Miroku explained. "And that's what Inuyasha wants."
"Uh ..." To be honest, Kimie couldn't quite understand what was going on with Inu Yasha and Kouga. Again and again the Hanyou tried to catch the wolf demon, but this dodged the blows with Tessaiga quickly and skillfully every time."Listen, dog boy, I'm going to say goodbye for now.", Kouga finally said. "Well ..." Kagome looked down. "Many of Kouga's friends were killed in a trap by Naraku. Now, of course, he wants revenge for that."
"I see." Kimie became even more thoughtful now. Apparently, this Naraku was really a bad guy who shouldn't be bumped into.Would the friends face him sooner or later?

In the evening the group rested near a forest. Kimie was admittedly a little disappointed, at least she had hoped to meet Sesshoumaru. However, it was already clear to her that she could not expect that she would run into him again immediately. Wait and drink tea, that was probably the motto. And instead of worrying about it unnecessarily, she preferred to take part in the conversation of the others. The friends sat around the campfire and some water was simmering in a small pot over the fire. Kagome had a few modern instant noodles with her, which she now distributed to the others.
