Chapter: A perfect dream

Visions of Dreamers / a perfect dream

It was a mild summer night with a pleasant fresh breeze. The street lamps had already gone out and the unusually bright and large full moon lit the streets.
Sirelle didn't know where she was. She wandered through a dark city, dead quiet and apparently soulless. Without cars, without lights, the windows were empty.
But that didn't worry her - on the contrary: she felt safe and secure in this lonely darkness. In this infinite silence.
She inhaled the fresh smell of the night and looked up at the moon. She enjoyed this brief moment of infinity, seemed to love solitude. She always did.
Now it started to rain, but it wasn't uncomfortably wet and cold. It was incredibly beneficial, as if the rain was also purifying her soul. It was as if at that moment all her wishes had come true. Physically as well as mentally. She stretched out her arms, leaned her head back and enjoyed this wonderful moment. Deep down she was just a lonely soul, she would always be - and she was proud of it.
In her opinion, the other people were stupid. They made themselves dependent on others, wanted to prove something to others and justify themselves. And if they did not submit, then they ruled. But she was free. Your soul was free. She knew she would get into quite a lot of problems because of it, but there was no way she wanted to end up like all the other people. She didn't belong in this terrible world - she belonged here, she thought hopefully, looked up at the moon again and let the gentle rain fall on her.
She went on for a while. After the city limits came wide meadows and then a dark, dense, partly light forest, in which you could hear a few owls screaming every now and then. There were also noises from animals that Sirelle did not even know - or that did not exist in the world from which she came.It had stopped raining in the meantime.
The forest was still pretty dense, but she could hear waves rushing from somewhere and had a salty taste in her mouth. She pushed the last branches aside and suddenly stood in front of the mighty, beautiful ocean, whose waves shone in the moonlight.
She sat down on a rock on the beach and enjoyed the sight for a moment. She listened to the lovely singing of the sirens. Suddenly a brilliant white light appeared next to her. Sirelle turned around and didn't see anything at first because she was blinded by the light, but then she looked into the face of a beautiful unicorn. Shining as white as the moon. It looked at her with its large, bright blue eyes. She had never seen a horse so delicate and with such eyes - let alone with a horn. It didn't seem to be afraid of her and she could gently stroke his silky mane. His eyes captivated her, it was so beautiful. Then it put its warm head in her lap and let it continue to be stroked for a while.
Until it was suddenly startled by something. It shied and galloped away. Sirelle looked after him a little confused, but before she could really understand it, she saw the cause of the unicorn's flight: A bright beam of light appeared in front of her, maybe not quite as white as the unicorn, but it was enough to to blind her again. At first she could only make out faint outlines, but then she recognized the face of Kades. "Sirelle, what luck! I finally found you!" He rushed towards her and took her in his arms. "We thought you were lost," he added, close to tears.
At that moment she realized that the dream was over: "No", she whimpered and with a silent scream the world seemed to collapse. The black night sky collapsed on them and the shining moon broke into a thousand pieces. The wonderful illusion was over and Sirelle collapsed with tears in his eyes ...
