2nd chapter
The idea
"Are you coming Amy?" Mizumi Akura called her older friend from a distance.
Amy Kazura blinked once, puzzled, then followed Mizumi. Kitsume Engara, who was deep in conversation with Mizumi, was also there. Amy had been completely lost in thought, had relived her first day here, in Kiri-gakure, in her mind. After falling asleep under the trees, she woke up at Kitsume's house. Her mother had lovingly cared for her. Amy had no memories of the time before that day, i.e. the days before she was 7 years old.
Lost in thought, Amy followed her two colleagues to the shared apartment. One of the two closed the door and the three entered. They were immediately greeted by Tschakko, the little husky. Barking happily, he ran around the three ninja ladies and sank into extensive pats. Kitsume's tiger cats, Emily and Rei, came running and mewed happily. Amy pushed her way impatiently past the "critters" she lovingly called and left the room.
Kitsume and Mizumi looked at each other in amazement.
"What does she have?" the two asked themselves.
Amy quickly closed her door and looked around her dark room. It was rather sparsely furnished, but only because Amy didn't want so many things. The room was quite large and there was a wooden double bed under the huge window, with beautiful decorations at the head and foot ends. Behind the door, there was a large old cupboard, also with symbols on it, and diagonally across from it was a small chest of drawers with a blanket on it. There was still a carpet on the floor, and here and there vases, pictures and hand-painted paintings hung and stood. The heavy curtains were all drawn. Amy sank down on her bed. She was afraid, even afraid, of falling asleep. Reliving a fragment of her past and not knowing what she had dreamed of the next morning. She put her elbows on her knees and stared at the ground. It was terrible. She didn't know anything about her past and it was painful to remember. She didn't know why she didn't cry tears but blood, nor why she had such strange eyes. She nibbled her fingernail nervously. One of their bad habits. Opposite her was a mirror, in which Amy now looked. She knew exactly that she was pretty and that she had asked almost every boy here, in this village, on a date, but she didn't want to and couldn't say yes. Amy was a nervous wreck, her two colleagues knew that. She couldn't go on anymore. She had looked for her past in almost every country, but found nothing.Only Konoha-gakure and Suna-gakure remained and Kitsume, Mizumi and she were supposed to drive over to Konoha.
// I can't take this much longer! We don't find bets in Konoha and Suna any more than in any other country? // she thought discouraged.
It wasn't fair, but not in the world was fair. Innocent people died because some great powers had another quarrel or because some clans could not live together in peace. Amy had given up looking for a reason for her existence or something that encouraged her to go on living. She had been addicted to depression for years.
Sadly, she fell back and stared at her ceiling. A gentle knock could be heard from the door and Amy's gaze turned to the door.
"Amy? Is everything okay!" asked a voice that Amy could clearly assign to Kitsume.
"That's none of your business!" Amy hissed angrily.
"Amy what's wrong with you?" Kitsume asked, opening the door a crack."Hiss off!" for Amy, and Kitsume flinched.
Kitsume wanted to try again, but then left it and closed the door behind her. Amy rolled over on her stomach and buried her head in the covers of the bed.
Kitsume and Mizumi sat quietly at the kitchen table and kept looking at Amy's door.
"What's the matter with her again?" Kitsume asked and took Chakko on her lap to caress him there.
"It's getting worse and worse!" sighed Mizumi.
"You are right! We have to hurry to find her past!" Kitsume agreed.
"Just where should we look? The only countries that remain are Konoha and Suna! Do you think we'll find something there?" asked Mizumi.
"I don't know, but I hope so!"
"The only problem is ... Amy doesn't agree! She doesn't feel like traveling anywhere and looking!"
Kitsume put Chakko back down and crossed his arms over his chest.
"I know! But that's understandable too. After all, she has been disappointed very often. She just doesn't want to anymore, as much as she cares about her past! "
Mizumi looked down and ran a hand through her hair when she suddenly had an idea.
"We don't have to go to Konoha or Suna and tell her that we want to look there. We can just ask Mizukage-sama if we can do something like compulsory training there!"
Her eyes almost lit up when she told Kitsume about the idea. At first she looked puzzled until she thought about the idea again.
"Hm ... Then let's ask him directly!" Kitsume smiled and stood up.
"Let's take Tschak with us. He'll definitely have to go out again!" Mizumi said and also got up from her chair.
The two got ready and while Mizumi Tschakko tied the leash, Kitsume knocked on Amy's door and told her the two would go out with the dog. Silence came as an answer.
// That was to be expected!// she smiled inwardly.
The two quickly left the apartment and made their way to the temple.
Amy stayed in her room until she heard the door slam and then slowly opened the door. She peeked out to make sure no one was in the apartment. Nobody except for the two cats curled up in front of the fireplace in the living room. Amy strode through the kitchen to the living room and sat there on the windowsill. She stared out. It was a wonderful day. The sun was shining, the birds were chirping and everyone seemed happier than usual. But for Amy, days like that were worse than others. She hated it when she was shown that other people were better off than her. She tried again and again to convince herself that there are many people in this world who are much, much worse off than her, but on such days the whole earth seemed to be happy and happy. Only Amy was caught in her black shell.Alone with all the pain, with all the longing for knowledge and love.
She pulled her legs up against her body and wrapped her arms around them, still looking outside. She felt empty, like she was just a body, with no mind. Slowly she closed her eyes and enjoyed the darkness that was so comforting, so terrifying.
// What am I here for? // she wondered and suddenly opened her eyes.
How often had she now pondered why people were in this world when they would only suffer and die anyway? What was the point of all this? It didn't and that was the crux of the matter. What would you need good and bad memories for when you eventually die anyway?
Nobody could give her an answer to these questions. Which was because she hadn't asked anyone these questions before.
Amy kept her pain to herself. She didn't want to ask others for help or burden them with their worries. It was a lot easier to keep to yourself than to discuss it with someone. She jumped off the windowsill and went to the bathroom.
Her first impulse was to grab a pair of scissors, sit in the tub and cut her throat, but as she stood in this empty room and thought, she remembered Mizumi and Kitsume. They weren't her best friends, no, Amy wasn't ready yet, but they were something of a family to her. A replacement. Amy didn't mean to be a coward. No, she was a fighter by nature. Hard as it was, she would try to make it through.
She quickly left the room and went back to her realm. Amy put in a CD and turned on the CD recorder. She let herself fall on the bed and fell asleep to the soft, soothing melody.
About half an hour later ...
Mizumi quickly unlocked the door and let Kitsume and Chakko inside.
"So where is Amy?" Kitsume asked immediately.
"Definitely in your room!" Mizumi said and opened Amy's door a crack.
The sight was just too cute.Amy was curled up in her blanket on her bed, slumbering deeply. She quietly closed the said door and grinned at Kitsume.
"She sleeps!" she whispered and went into the living room.
Kitsume followed her quickly and petted her cats extensively.
"It was nice of Mizukage-sama to let us do that!" Mizumi smiled and looked at Kitsume over the arm of the sofa.
"I agree!" agrees to this.
The day slowly came to an end and the two decided to tell Amy about the training trip tomorrow, as they wanted to sleep first. The two said goodbye to each other and went to sleep in their rooms.
Thanks and bye
