Chapter 2: Something different

Our friends are now on their way to go on vacation. Kogoro Conan, Ran and Kansuké drive to the famous Kaisakó Hotel. When they get there, they all go in together. While Ran and Conan were waiting in the hallway for Kogoro, who booked the three rooms, Kansuké had already booked his own room and went straight to his room.
>> You Ran, tell me. Do you know this Kansuké from anywhere? Because I have the feeling that he's planning something nasty. << Ran went closer to Conan and bent down to him.
>> Of course I know him. He's new to the class and sits next to me. He may seem a bit mysterious at times, but he is never nasty in life. You can believe me. <<
Conan just wondered if Ran was right about what she was saying. But what bothers him most is that he is sitting next to her in class.
Kogoro has now booked the room and passes them both. >> Hey, come on.I have the room. << Conan and Ran went to their room with Kogoro. But when Conan saw the room number, he got an old legend. Conan hesitated at first, but then started:

Ran was scared and couldn't say another word because of it. But she and Conan got ready for bed and soon went to sleep. Kogoro came soon too and was, as always, drunk. When he stepped into the room, he fell over. He fell asleep immediately.

Now it was night and our friends were asleep. But Ran, had a nightmare. She dreamed that the legend will come true. In her dream it was suddenly quite loud and she woke up. She got out of bed to see what was going on outside.When she left the room, the creature that embodied evil suddenly stood next to her. She was frightened, woke up and screamed. Conan woke up to the noise. Of course, Conan first thought that something had happened to Ran and was immediately worried. >> Ran, what happened? << he called.
But this time he had worried for nothing. Nothing happened to Ran. >> Oh Conan, I had a terrible dream. The legend became true. The one you told me. <<
Conan calmed down again, because he now knew that Ran only screamed because of his legend. Then Conan just said she should go back to sleep and lay down again. But ran, couldn't sleep for a while. She had to think about the legend all the time. She wondered if Kansuké really had anything to do with the legend. But then she wanted to sleep again. Suddenly she saw Kogoro. >> Oh dad. You always have to go away for so long and get drunk. << Then she lay down again and fell asleep too.A little later, but also in the night, there was real noise, just like in Ran's dream. Conan and Ran woke up again. But at first Ran thought she was dreaming. So she didn't want to pay attention to it. But Conan wanted to know who is making this noise. He wanted to go out. But Ran warned Conan. >> Conan wait. I have to tell you that this is how my dream started too. When I went outside, the essence of evil was standing next to me. Please stay here ... << But Conan didn't want to hear and opened the door. When he went out he saw nothing. Then he went back inside. Then he wanted to calm Ran down. >> Ran, it was probably just a cat or something. Your dream didn’t come true and it won’t come true, do you understand? Dreams are dreams and reality is not a dream. So you don't need to be afraid if you have had a terrible dream. << Ran still believed that her dream could come true and she pulled the covers over her head. Conan ignored it now and went back to bed calmly.>> Ran, try to sleep. Good night. << But before Conan could fall asleep. Someone shouted for help. It came from the reception. Conan was amazed and startled at the same time. He no longer knew whether what he was saying was correct. But without thinking further, he ran out to the reception and found a hotel guest dead.
Meanwhile, Ran woke her father. Kogoro now woke up too. >> What's going on, Mausebein. Why are you waking me up in the middle of the night? << Ran didn't say anything, but she pulled Kogoro into the reception. All other hotel guests were already there. Then Conan suddenly noticed a guest. The one who caught his eye was Heiji. Of course, he didn't suspect Heiji, he just wondered what he was doing in this hotel. Heiji called the police in the meantime.
Kogoro then did not let anyone access the body until the police arrived. This time Inspector Megure came again. >> Oh dear. Mouri is here again quite by chance. So what are you doing here by accident this time, Mouri?<< Kogoro answered immediately. >> I am actually on vacation here with the children, but it seems that nothing will come of it. << So there was another murder. But Conan first dealt briefly with Heiji and went to him. >> Hey, Heiji. What are you doing here? Also vacation or are you here for something else? << Heiji only noticed Conan now. >> Oh, hello Ku. . . uh Conan. How are you? Oh me, I'm on vacation, yeah, and you probably too, right? << So the two greeted each other briefly and then dealt with the murder again. But together. Inspector Megure asked for the guest list:

Inspector Megure now interrogated the guests.He took everyone, including Kogoro.

Misuo Agado: >> I was in my room and watched TV. Hopefully one can still do that.

Heiji Hattori: >> I was in the toilet when the scream fell. Unfortunately no one can testify to it. <<

Minaho Mihoka: >> I slept. But I woke up when someone screamed. So of course I ran down here straight away. <<

Ran Mouri: >> I was in our room with Paps and Conan.

Kogoro Mouri: >> I was sleeping when this all happened. As Ran said, I was in the same room with them. So I have an alibi. <<

Conan Edogawa: I was in the room with Ran. Ran and I were awake because Ran was having a nightmare. It was also a bit noisy before the murder happened. <<

When Inspector Megure was about to interrogate the last one, Kansuké, it occurred to him that he was not there. So he had Kansuké look for it. He was found in the forest. So he too was interrogated.

Kansuké Kasano: >> YES, it was me.I killed him. But I can't tell you why. <<
