Chapter 2: A Profitable Contract
Hello! I'm back. With the last cape before the summer break. I hope you like it...

"Will it be at the Hidori hospital soon?" Christin shouted at the driver, who immediately drove off. Couldn't that idiot even take care of himself? Christin sighed. She had suspected that working too hard was not at all good for her brother.
She looked dreamily out the window. Brightly dressed people went in and out of the great streets. Their faces looked blankly at the many shops. Hardly anyone smiled. Most of them were under stress, constantly looking at their watches. Even the sky was covered with black clouds that heralded a thunderstorm.
"We're here, madam."
She stepped elegantly out of the black limousine and looked towards the large white building. There were hundreds of people inside. Some with armbands, some in wheelchairs and some with narrow crutches that allowed them to walk.Christin looked around and soon discovered the information desk, at the front of which a chubby woman with huge horn-rimmed glasses was eating her breakfast. The orange-haired woman cleared her throat.
"Where can I find Tyson Satorishi? He must have been brought in recently."
The white-clad woman was busy typing data into her computer, with a few crumbs of her bun covering the keyboard.
"Room 312. You go in here on the left. Then you take the elevator, go to the third floor and then ask again for Doctor Reshima."
With that she devoted herself to her meal again. Christin gave her another arrogant look before she went to the elevators. Once there, she quickly pressed the red button and leaned against the wall.
A ringing could be heard and Christin left the small cabin. A handsome young man in a white coat came towards her and stopped in front of her.
"You must be a Christian Satorishi.Follow me. Your brother is now in another room. We had to move him because his condition has improved and his life is no longer in danger. "
"Would have been too nice," whispered Christin, more to herself than to Doctor Reshima. This, inevitably had to smile at this remark, and held the door for Christin.
"Oh yes, your brother's friend is here too. Nevertheless, please don't make such a noise, as there is another patient in this room."
Christin just looked at him coldly.
"And why didn't my brother get a single room? He always pays the most of her debt-eaten hospital."
Dr. Reshima looked surprised. He would never have expected such a statement from such a woman. How could you say such a thing? This building was the best hospital out there! Still, he made up his mind to stay calm.
"Well, we are fully booked at the moment. There are no more rooms available, and we do not have enough staff to adequately care for all patients. We therefore ask for your forbearance. "
Christin just walked by and headed for the last bed. The room was large and spacious and could accommodate two patients. Christin looked around for a moment. Long curtains covered the windows and thus also protected the room from sunlight. Machines were installed everywhere, leading to the victims with a kind of cable. When she had just looked at one of these devices, she noticed who was lying in the bed next to her brother.
With his eyes closed, the brown hair covered most of his face. The slender hands and the fine fingers lay casually on the body. The only thing wrong with this picture was the legs, which were wrapped in linen and held up by a kind of hook, looking rather abnormal. No doubt. Her future business partner lay on this bed.
"Christian? What are you doing here?"
The young woman went to the last bed and looked at her brother. Its situation was also not entirely satisfactory. The well-trained upper body was overflowing with all sorts of bandages, cables and plasters. There were two large devices next to him. The one that measured the beating of his heart and the second that provided him with some medicine.
Christin looked contemptuously at his friend Chikaja, who took his hand.
"Well, I was sent by our stepfather to find out how you are. Also, I should ask you how one can be so desperate to throw oneself into the nearby river!"
Tyson laughed uproariously. Chikaja looked at him with a mixture of compassion and uncertainty whether her boyfriend had just been proven insane. Then she turned to Christin.
"It is really a miracle that you come. When will you finally see that you are only making life difficult for my Bärli (A: No comment!)?"
"And when do you see that pin-up mini-skirts were out last month? By the way, I'm not exactly thrilled to be here either.I always had an important meeting recently. Actually you are right, nothing can go wrong with your care. "
The last sentence, oozing with sarcasm, hit the mark straight away. Chikaja looked at the young woman with wide eyes and then turned to her friend for help. He just shrugged his shoulders.
"Get out!", He said in a firm tone that nobody would have thought him capable of in this state. Christin turned her heel and looked again at her brother and then at Chikaja.
"You must be even more desperate than I thought."
When she got to the door, her gaze rested once more on the peacefully sleeping Kaiba until she noticed a picture on his bedside table. A blonde woman and a young boy laughed at the camera. Kaiba held the boy in her arms, while the blonde woman hugged him tenderly. In the background there was a huge fountain and many individual trees. Somehow this photo made her think. As far as she had found out about Kaiba, he was single and contented himself with affairs from time to time. Sometimes a model, sometimes one of his many employees, but never something permanent. Of course, the Kaiba family was surrounded by a great wall of mysteries and rumors. He was reported to have taken special care that nothing was known about his family and that this wall was not cracked.
With a thoughtful expression, Christin left the white room and continued on her way to the exit. When she had walked a bit and was only a few steps away from the elevator, a gray-haired man ran past her. Christin turned around in surprise. It must have been Mokuba Kaiba. He stopped in front of the room where his brother was lying, the phone pressed to his ear.
"What do you mean? I told you to just introduce him to the products! Am I just surrounded by idiots?"
His voice grew louder and louder until it screamed and earned angry looks."Now listen carefully to me! You take your junk truck immediately and come here. Woe, I won't see you in 5 minutes. No, I'm not in a bad mood and no, it's not because of my secretary!"
So the conversation was over for him and the cell phone sank into his coat pocket. Christin had listened to this argument with interest. Maybe you could take advantage of it ...
A few days later, Christin was preparing to talk to Seto Kaiba. It was raining again and the gray clouds didn't want to disappear. Thunder lit up the landscape and Christin scanned her plan again:
Point 1: Representation
Point 2: convince
Point 3: action
If she complied with these points, business was as good as possible. With a thick coat around her body, she left the headquarters of her company and called her limousine. She didn't want to be late.
"Pretty pretentious," she said to herself when she had reached her destination. The Kaiba Corp. was a tall building, with a majestic glass front and two large dragon sculptures in the foreground. Despite the bad weather, the reception hall was very busy. Thousands of well-dressed women were answering calls or in conversation with important business people. The many plants here and there made the large hall look cozy. Christin looked up. A huge dome presented itself to her view, which showed a snow-white dragon. She had already heard that Seto Kaiba had a certain dragon trick, but that was really an exaggeration. Again and again her gaze was drawn to the many people who animated the company. Big, small, fat, thin, but all women squeezed into the back corridors. Christin marched up to one of the information desks and looked at a young woman dressed in red. Her brown braids hung over her face and Christin had to admit that she looked more like a camel than a secretary."My name is Christin Satorishi and I am here to propose business to Mr. Kaiba."
The young woman cleared her throat and instructed Christin to take the elevator to the 9th floor. When she got off the elevator, she first had to orientate herself again. The company building was really very big. After much deliberation, she chose the right path. However, a black-haired woman came up to her from the left and knocked her over. Christin fell against the wall and was just barely able to hold on so as not to break another vase. The black-haired woman rubbed her head too. Various documents lay around them. She was probably on the same path as Christin. She quickly tried to collect the documents again.
"Can't you pay attention?" Asked the older woman and helped the woman.
"I'm very sorry.", She said shyly and again touched her head.
"Why does this always have to happen to me? Mr. Kaiba will freak out when he sees this."
Christin put the sheets of paper in a pile and then looked into the faces of the employees."What is your name?"
Surprised and uncertain, the younger said: "Naomi McCan. I am Mr. Kaiba's secretary."
"Christin Satorishi. I want to do business with him."
The black-haired woman took a deep breath and held her hand over her mouth in amazement.
"So that means you are that important partner we were told about? Oh no, I'm so sorry for all of this! Please don't tell Mr. Kaiba! He would fire me immediately."
Christin smiled and tried to choose a friendly voice.
"Don't worry, I won't tell him if you can show me the way through this maze now."
Naomi beamed and nodded eagerly.
"Very much. I
