Chapter 3 _ The Presence of an Evil Energy

As Yoh said, Manta and I are walking close behind him. This feeling is getting stronger. My fear clouds my mind. I can not think clearly. > What's the matter with me? Since when have I been so scared? That has never happened to me! <"Anna, hold on a little longer, will you?" Yoh's words startled me. He must have noticed that I am not doing so well. > How I hate to be weak. I don't want to be pityed by everyone! <Everything is spinning in my head. “What is that ?!” I stop. I feel that someone is around. "Anna?" Says Yoh after he has stopped too. “Here's who.” I look around carefully. And then suddenly something moves in a corner. "Yoh! Back there!" Yoh is about to go to the corner I showed him. The whole hall was full of rubble.It's pretty much broken. > But who is still here then? <"Anna! Come here! This is Ren!" I suddenly felt like lightning had struck me. Immediately I run to them. And really, there are Ren and Run. You're hurt pretty badly. Ren's leg is under a rock. Yoh is trying to pick up that rock to get him out of there. "Ren, do you hear me? Hey? Are you okay?" As if on command, Ren opened his eyes. "Yoh? Anna? What are you doing here?" He asks dazedly. "It's a long story. We'll get you out of here first.", Says Yoh and actually manages to lift the stone so far that Ren comes out. I'll go to Run right away. She is leaning against the stone wall. “Run, are you okay?” She opens her eyes too when she hears me. "Anna? I'm glad to see you!" I smile at her. That was a tortured smile, because this feeling does not let go of me. "Anna! Run! Get out of here!" I hear Yoh calling. He's already on the way out with Ren."Ok, come on." I tell her and support her until we are outside. I'm taking them to Yoh, Ren, and Manta who are leaning against a wall. Then we start to take care of both of them. Yoh had brought a lot of bandages. "What happened?" Yoh asks Ren when he has finished connecting. "I'm not sure," Ren whispers. You can see in his face that he is in pain. Yoh calmly starts bandaging his foot. Run is doing well so far. Manta has something to eat that Yoh has packed before leaving. Now I am amazed. > Since when has Yoh been thinking so much? Otherwise he's the one who says "oh, it'll be fine somehow". Did I scare him? <"Anna?" I startle. Only now do I notice that Yoh is talking to me. "Yes?" I say curtly. "What do we do now? Do you still feel this power? Is it coming from inside this building?" I just nod to answer his last question. "Maybe we should just go home and forget about all of this."I turn to where the voice came from. > Manta. Who else? I say to myself in my head. "No, that doesn't work." I say curtly. "How so?" says Manta, who would like to get away from there immediately. "This ghost. The one who sent us one of Ren's ghosts wants us to find him. Otherwise we would never have become aware of what was happening here ... He could have done whatever he wanted with the Taos." perplexed. But only for a moment. Then they looked in different directions. "Anna is right. Even if we just go home, this guy will face us sooner or later. We should do this now so that something worse doesn't happen.", Yoh said calmly, but this time without a trace of a smile. “I'm coming with you!” Yoh winces.
