Chapter: A new mission?

The next morning he woke up and for a few tiny, beautiful moments, he could believe that everything that had happened in the past few days was just a dream.
But then his eyes fell on the calendar and reality had him again. There was on today's date, in the fine Uchiha script, "Naruto`s Birthday".
Sasuke's heart was heavy. He had gotten a present for Naruto two months ago and now he might never get it. The Uchiha rolled out of bed and padded into the kitchen. There he first made breakfast. Today, despite everything, training was scheduled. Kakashi probably needed a bit of distraction, in the form of a tough training session in which he was allowed to boss his two students around.
Sasuke didn't blame him. He, too, would rather train than lie around lazily or help rebuild the village. Actually only the Genin and a couple of Chunin were responsible for this. But what else should you do?When he left the house, Sakura was standing in front of his nose. He smiled at her apologetically. He just wanted to quickly forget what had happened last night.
He wouldn't talk about Naruto today. That was what he had planned. Sakura was apparently still quite shocked and had just as badly processed what Naruto had done. Only Sakura vented her grief differently than the black-haired one.
Sakura returned his smile and he let out a relieved breath.
"Are we going?" She asked.
"Yes, Kakashi is definitely not waiting, but we can start then."
The three had agreed to meet in a remote rocky landscape. Sasuke feared that her training had something to do with climbing.
They went on their way. They walked through the forests of Konoha for a long time, until the trees around them became lighter and lighter and their feet were no longer shuffling over soft grass, but hard rock.
"Hey, Sasuke! Someone is standing there! Is that Kakashi ?! ", shouted Sakura surprised.
Sasuke blinked and took a closer look. "Yes, I think so. He's on time!", Laughed Sasuke.
Kakashi stood in front of a vertically rising rock wall and, what else was to be expected, read his flirting paradise. He only looked up when they were standing in front of his nose and had said "Hello" as if out of one mouth.
Sasuke's fears came true when Kakashi explained that they would have to get up the rock face somehow. Sakura looked rather pleased as she had better chakra control.
"Oh and by the way: You are not allowed to use a chakra and ...", Kakashi began and took two ropes from his backpack.

Now Sasuke was hanging in the middle of the rock face, legs tied together, looking for another way to hold on.
° That's not fair at all! °, he thought. ° Sakura only has one arm tied behind his back and I am not even allowed to use my feet! °
Sakura was quite a bit above him. It was almost at the top.Kakashi sat upstairs and read.
Such a workout was certainly not a great distraction. The Uchiha kept thinking about how Naruto would have complained if he had been in his position.
"Juuhu!" Could be heard from above. Sakura had reached the plateau (~ is that how you write it? ~).
Sasuke was still just hanging by the hands and trying to concentrate again. ° Enough now! I don't like anymore! , he thought and was convinced that he was now working with his chakra. Unfortunately, at that moment Kakashi's gaze brushed him from above and he changed his mind the next moment.
For the next 15 minutes he was busy climbing and testing every hold before he clung to it.
3 meters to go! He had done it in a moment.
But suddenly what he had feared all along happened: He slipped. He reached for the rock again, but too late. He fell.
From above Sakura's surprised scream could be heard and Kakashi jumped up."Oh fuck it!", Sasuke shouted in the fall and made a few finger signals. He turned his head down and a flame shot through his hands. That was the only thing that occurred to him at the moment.
The effect was overwhelming.
It immediately pushed him back up as soon as the flames hit the ground.
A moment later, it landed on the pants next to Sakura. She hugged him immediately, whereby Kakashi looked at him rather reproachfully.
The training continued at a lofty height. They did everything. From Tai-Jutsu, about Nin-Jutsu, to Gen-Jutsu.
When the sky turned red, Kakashi finished the training and Sasuke went home with Sakura.
They had just walked halfway down the rock face when they saw someone approaching them.
He ran up the rock face and stopped right in front of Sasuke and Sakura.
Kakashi watched from above with interest as Sasuke received a scroll.
"A scroll? By whom? Why?", Sasuke asked the panting ninja in front of him.
"You should read this and report to Jiraja tomorrow, ready and ready to leave.", He explained.
"Huh?" Said Sasuke.
"Is everything in there. Oh ... huh, because of Jiraja? Yes, uh, he's representing Tsunade at the moment. And please do what it says there. That seems to be very important. Well then ..." said the ninja as he turned to go, "... have a nice evening!"
