Chapter: Shanoharu - the new Akatsuki

They had been traveling through the kingdom of fire for two days. They had walked late into the night and had hardly taken any breaks during the day. Nobody in the team had complained. They all knew how important it was to reach the earth realm as quickly as possible.
On the third day, however, was something strange. When they got up in the morning and shook their tired limbs, they realized that someone was missing. Neji was gone.
"Where can he be?" Asked Kiba when they had been looking for him everywhere.
"Do you think something happened to him?" Asked Hinata fearfully.
When Sasuke didn't answer, Shikamaru tried to calm the girl down. "Oh come on. Neji is so tough and so strong, nothing happens to him. Besides ... what should happen to him? Nobody's out here anyway, is there Kiba?" Kiba nodded. Even if gangs of robbers streamed around out here, they would never attack a group of ninja.
"I think he'll be back soon ... it's probably just somewhere in the bushes and ..." Shino grinned and interrupted himself."Well ... In any case, we should go a little further and look out for him", Sasuke decided and everyone began to pack their things. The campfire that had burned overnight was extinguished and we could go on.
They ran until noon and still no trace of Neji. Sasuke was slowly getting worried, but Kiba tore him out of his thoughts.
"Slowly we should think about whether we should go back to one of the friendly villages before we go to the earth kingdom."
"I'd be for it ... We still need some supplies," said Lee, shaking his backpack, which was pretty empty.
"We could go into the village behind the waterfall. Konoha has a good relationship with the people there," said Kiba, expressing what Sasuke had just thought. The Uchiha nodded. The others all agreed, except for Hinata.
"What is it?" Asked Shino.
"I'm worried about Neji. We should look for him," she explained."We're all worried about him ..." confessed Kiba.
"... but we have to move on. We have to finish our mission.", Shino Kiba's sentence continued in a calming tone.
There was a pause. Everyone was feverishly wondering what to do next.
Saske, however, was most concerned. He was the leader here, after all, and he was in charge. Finally he made up his mind.
"We're going on now and stocking up on our supplies. Then we can still send someone back to look for Neji.", Said the Uchiha.
Hinata agreed to this suggestion and they made their way to the village behind the waterfall.
You shouldn't get there until the next evening and find something terrible ...

Meanwhile in Konoha.
Sakura sat on a rock. From here she could see the whole village. It was just beautiful. Even if a part was still in ruins.
She had been up here most of the time for the past two days.She had thought a lot: about Sasuke, the only one who lost her and whom she loved more than anything, about Naruto, who had done so much damage and yet couldn't help it, about Tsunade, who had always seemed so dessintress and now all of a sudden to her Gave life to those she loved.
The whole time Sakura wondered if she would have been able to do this if her Sasuke had been in danger. If she thought about it, she hadn't really taken part in the fight against Naruto. She was too scared. She didn't even know what before!
Then she had become one of the strongest Konoichis Konohas and then she could not protect her village or Sasuke.
These thoughts made her extremely sad and she sighed.
"What a sigh ... But something must have happened there, right?", Laughed a voice behind her, which she did not recognize.
Sakura turned around in surprise and saw jet black, expressionless eyes. She jumped up in surprise and took a few steps back."No need to get nervous right away," said the boy in front of her. She took a closer look at his face. She didn't know what, but something about the guy struck her as weird.
Strands of blue-black hair hung limply across his face. His head was covered with white hair, however.
His eyes bored into hers as if he were trying to get some answers inside her head.
Then her gaze fell on his coat ... "You are from the Akatsuki !!", she yelled in surprise.
"Yeah ... And I have a party invitation for you ... From Itachi!"
Sakura's stifled scream faded away in the Konohas valley and before anyone heard of it, it went black before their eyes and the ninja vanished with his pink-haired party guest.
