Chapter: The loss

"Naaami ...?!" Luffy leaned over the railing to keep an eye out. Robin stowed away the collected bags. "Nami? If this is just a bad joke, you can come out now ..." Usop said ironically to loosen up the current situation. But Sanji was not thrilled about it, ran up to him and grabbed him violently by the right dungarees. "Do you think all serious Nami is joking?" He said angrily in his face.
“No ... certainly not!” The captain replied. "HEY! Quiet blood, hectic rush is the last thing that gets us now." came Zorro's voice, who ran across the deck and pointed to the jetty next to the ship. The rest of the crew watched him go. But Luffy took the initiative and jumped from bread to see what was lying there. It wasn't long before he found it. "What's this?" he stood questioningly and looked at his friends. These were already on the way down to him.
“Looks like a dagger!” Luffy picked it up from the floor and examined it more closely. Usop who came quickly to him was hardly astonished in his eyes. "A kunai ?!"
Luffy, Zorro, Sanji and Chopper looked at him questioningly. “A knife that ninjas use as a weapon.” Robin carefully removed the object from the straw hat. "And one more, from a shadow ninja!" she gently ran her fingers over the pitch black handle. "I thought they were rarities? You can't even get something like that on the trade market anymore." told Usopp.
"So Nami must have been kidnapped by the owner of this weapon?" Chopper stepped out and asked around. The straw hat pirates' faces looked serious.
"I am in favor of us asking around a bit in the city ..." Sanji said seriously and his gaze went towards the hustle and bustle of the city. He took a cigarette out of his pants, put it in his mouth and lit it with a skilful hand movement, with a match. "I suggest we split up and meet back here after an hour!" added Robin, and pointed to the boardwalk."Good, and I'll stay here ..." Zorro ran the plank back onto the ship "... not that we have another uninvited visitor!" he jumped onto the deck with one swing. The rest of the remaining crew members nodded. Until they all ran in the direction of the brightly lit city.

There was a dull knock on the wooden door. Jacky, who was in the room, was startled and therefore winced. She leaned up from her bed and looked towards the door. "Yes?" she asked. Without having opened the door, there was a rigid sound: “I should tell the professor that you should meet in the laboratory!” Jacky's features took on frightening features. She had a faint premonition of what might have happened. She sat upright on the edge of the bed and looked out the window that the room had. She heard the footsteps moving away from her room and got up. When she was looking for her short jacket, she noticed for the first time that she had misplaced her beloved pocket watch. "How can that be?!" She felt her way, and shortly afterwards stormed onto the bedside table next to her bed. Annoyed, she rummaged in the drawers. "No ..." she thought to herself "... that can't be!" Slowly she saw the contents of the drawers slightly blurred. Desperate, she covered her mouth with her hand. "But Jet ... that was the only thing I still have from him ..." she whimpered to herself. She didn't know what to do next, but she continued to rummage desperately around the room. Until suddenly the door opened and one of the marines from the vestibule stood in the doorway. "Miss ..." he told her, but Jacky interrupted him. "Yes, I heard it earlier!" she went up to him and followed him to the professor. The loss must wait, Jacky took it first.

Once in the laboratory, Jacky's suspicions are confirmed. "Jacky, my gold piece, are you getting on with your skills?" the professor greeted them happily.But she did not answer and looked around the room. "Professor, what skills do you want to give you?" Koga asked curiously. "I don't know yet ..." he looked at various test tubes.
"There will be something left for you too! Don't be so curious!" it rang from the corner. There was a dark red sofa and the woman with the short, wild haircut, who Jacky met on the large stone staircase, was sitting on it. "Oh Asura! Had a bad day too, huh?" Koga grinned slightly confused.
"Your?" Jacky looked around with a questionable expression. "I told you I found a new victim." answered Koga. "Quite right ..." Prof. Vicoús stroked the table. His anticipation could not be overlooked. Frightened, Jacky yelled a step back and asked further: "And where is she now?"
"In the next room ... I gave her Nartozyklim. That should keep her quiet for the next few hours." said the professor. Nartocyclic? Isn't that the remedy that paralyzes the body from the neck down? What he gave me back then, thought Jacky. She looked at the floor and clenched both hands into fists.
Suddenly there was a dull thud from the said adjoining room. "Our bunny doesn't seem to have come to terms with it yet?" the professor raised his eyebrows and opened the door to see what was going on inside. "The remedy seems to take a particularly long time to work today ...?!" Koga ironically underlined the statement.
In his lighted room one saw a handcuffed young woman lying on the floor. Her short hairstyle was probably so messy because she tried with all her might to escape. But how was she going to do it, tied up and with Nartozyklim in her blood. Jacky thought briefly and wanted to help her up. But Koga took that from her and headed for the pile of misery that lay on the ground. "Nami ... that's your name ...?" he grabbed her left arm and pulled her open and laid her back on the couch."You know, I've been watching your 7-man crew .." he grinned at her, because he knew that with the gag in her mouth she couldn't answer "... be glad you're gone!". The eyes with which she looked at him only showed contempt. "Don't worry, my bunny ..." Prof. Vicoús strokes her hairstyle "... I'll find something nice for you too!". He was grinning across both ears.
Until he turned away and headed for the door to the laboratory: "Oh and Jacky, don't forget your dose for today! Otherwise nothing will come of you."
Jacky looked embarrassed and humiliated into space. Koga followed the professor into the laboratory. The door was still open and Professor Vicoús added: "You have been released again, that was all!".
Asura got up and left the room without a word. Koga wanted to follow her too.
"KOGA !!!" Jacky yelled after him. She hurried to meet him: "Did you steal my pocket watch from me?" she stood before him with a serious expression.
"Pff ..." he refrained from laughing "... what am I supposed to do with such junk ?!". Angry, Koga grabbed his coat. "Don't lie to me! She's gone!" shouted Jacky.
"How should I, please know where you leave your stuff?" he tore Jacky's hands away. "Just better take care of it!"
He probably didn't have her after all. But where did I lose the watch then? Jacky crossed her arms and went back into the room where the young woman was lying. She closed the door quietly behind her so as not to startle you. But she noticed it and tossed and turned nervously. Their eyes meet and Jacky carefully walked towards them.
Koga must have brought them here by force. Otherwise she wouldn't make such a fuss now. But can I really let your life get messed up like that ?! Jacky always realizes what big mistake she made back then in her desperation, and wanted to do everything to prevent others from doing so."Hmpf!" the woman shook her head on the couch. Her eyes were squeezed tight. Jacky put his index finger on her mouth and whispered: "I'll take this off you if you stay quiet!"
She looked at Jacky and nodded shortly afterwards. So Jacky took action and untied the knot in the ribbon. But when the gag was taken from Nami’s mouth, she didn’t know how to defend herself and she spat at Jacky. "What are you going to do with me?" she said in a calm, serious voice. Jacky wiped the saliva from his face.
She could understand why she was doing this and she didn't blame her. Her silence enraged Nami "I'll tell you something! My crew will have noticed that I was kidnapped. Ever heard of Straw Hat Luffy?"
Jacky looked at her questioningly and at the same time puzzled: "Luffy? Are you talking about Monkey D. Luffy?! ..."
