I love the book until dawn and write a FF about it ^^
Prologue: Underground death
A 17 year old girl was staggering feverishly down a small back street in New York City.
Around them all windows were closed, all lights out and no one could hear shrines to help them.
But she didn't care. She HAD to go to the factory otherwise she would die, although she really wouldn’t mind the agony.
Despite the dizziness and pain, she seemed to know exactly where she was going, namely to a small, run-down factory, the basement door of which was ajar. Her steps were dragging, her breath was shallow and she gave the impression to be half unconscious. She didn't seem to notice that her left hand was clutching a medallion, so strong that it was already bruised.
But that wasn't the most noticeable thing about the brown-haired girl, whom she kept whispering"Fire, put out the fire ..."and convulsively shook her other hand as if she wanted to shake something off.
Several times the girl fell and slurped on her alabasta skin, but she got up again and again, apparently with the hope of reaching the door of the factory alive.
When she arrived, 2 people dressed in black completely blocked the way.
"Please let me through ... please!"whispered the 17 year old and shakily raised her convulsive hand. Her pain-contorted face could hardly be seen in the weak moonlight, as the alleys were not illuminated.
But WHAT was on her hand could only be seen all too well.
On her right hand was a strange, crescent-shaped scar that, strangely, glowed faintly in the dark.
The guards nodded, bared their sparkling white teeth with a grin, and grabbed the girl by one arm.
Slowly she relaxed, her pulse slowed, the pain subsided, but the fire in her right hand continued to burn incessantly ... she passed out."Your fate cannot be turned! But is it really necessary? I mean so many bites ...!" said someone around her.
Apparently she was half asleep ... or already dead. It all seemed like a dream.
She was trapped in eternal darkness and the aching fire in her hand. She wanted to scream best, but someone interrupted the person speaking.
"That is the only thing that supports her. You know as well as I do that she is one of the 2 chosen ones who show no reaction to the abilities of other vampires. To find the second she has to get as much energy as possible. Otherwise, survive they don't ... "
Everything fell silent.
The girl wanted to know more, more about these beings around her, but someone injected her with something and closed her eyes with a gentle wave of the hand.
"You need rest now ... Your fate will soon come true ... But now don't worry about it ... just sleep ... Juliet."
The girl named Juliet obeyed.
The pain subsided more and more and her heart calmed down more and more…. until it finally stopped beating.
"After 3 endless days we finally did it.
The first chosen one is changed.
The second…. Is the name Isabella Swann, from Forks ... "
