Fanfic: Gebieterin der Dunkelheit
Chapter: Darkness
lets start
It was dark. Dark to be precise. And to be even more precise, pitch black. In the midst of this landscape two girls, no older than nineteen, went for a walk. "I hate tests of courage," one of the two hissed at her companion.
"Oh now, calm down, Miyu," said the other then.
"It's easy for you to talk! After all, I'm probably the one who's afraid of walking in the dark through a godforsaken forest."
"You're always afraid to go somewhere when it's dark", the other giggled now.
"Oh shut up, Arisa," replied the other, played offended.
Suddenly Miyu was wide awake. No trace of the previous fear.
"Did you hear that?" She asked her friend frantically.
"What?"
"Well the noise"
"What kind of noise?", She looked worriedly at her friend of the same age.
"I don't know either," shrugging her shoulders, she walked a little faster.
"Are you coming?"
Miyu stopped again after a few steps.
"There it was again", Arisa slowly turned to Miyu.
"You're just imagining it, sweetie," Arisa tried to calm Miyu, although she wasn't sure anymore whether the brown-haired one was just imagining it.
"No! I heard it very clearly. There is something," she spoke again frantically.
"Hey, wait a minute"
Miyu had simply disappeared into the darkness between the trees without any premonition.
"Miyu!" Arisa quickly followed her, "Wait for me."
"There it was again"
The nineteen year old stopped abruptly.
"What do you have, Miyu?" Arisa asked softly. She stood a few steps behind her and couldn't see what was happening in front of the others.
Miyu was frozen in her movement.
All her attention was on something that stretched out in front of her.
Carefully she pushed past Miyu, who still hadn't broken out of her stiffness.
And now she saw it too.A camp stretched out in front of her. But not a simple camp for a few people who wanted to camp in nature.
It was even darker than anywhere else in the forest. As if it were surrounded by a dark aura that couldn't get any darker.
A miracle that you could still see outlines at all.
"What's this?"
Miyu's body jerked when she heard her best friend's question.
"I don't know," she whispered back. Yes, almost toneless.
Suddenly they were staring at two pairs of pitch black eyes.
“Who do we have here?” He bared two razor sheep's teeth.
The girls were in shock. They wanted to run, but they couldn't. They were too captivated by the sight of their counterpart.
"Oh, shy, eh?" He asked both of them spitefully.
The two of them were still staring at the one who seemed hardly much older.
It was only when he ran his tongue over his lips and let out a growl that Arisa awoke from her stupor. Just Arisa.
Miyu continued to stand still. Like frozen.
Slowly the brown-haired got control of her body again. She wanted to run. Just get away from here. But there you look at Miyu a lot.
She shook it, called her name. Nothing. Nothing happened. Nobody answered her.
She looked around in panic. She hadn't been able to get a clear thought for a long time.
She only wanted one thing. Flee. Flee from what looked at them spitefully as if they had already lost. Your counterpart.
Her legs moved naturally in the direction she had come from. In her mind she hoped that Miyu would eventually be able to forgive her for just running away without her now. Left her helpless.
"That won't be of much use to you," laughed the figure.
But she didn't really hear him. Her thoughts were with Miyu.
Suddenly she heard the growl right behind her. When she turned around, however, there was nothing, nothing.Suddenly someone pushed her to the ground. Her head hit the cold forest floor hard. The pain was reflected in her face and she slowly closed her eyes.
"I said it won't be of much use to you," he laughed out loud.
Until a liberating darkness engulfed them.
