Forest Town

Episode 7: Forest Town

Yoshta and the sword finally arrived in forest town a little later. Yoshta never saw such a sight in his previous life: the entire city was surrounded by a dense high forest, so that he could not even see the bright blue sky, which was also covered by the many trees. There were also dozens of trees between the houses and paths, and forest Town lived up to its nickname "the forest town". After a long back and forth, the two decided to strengthen themselves in the forest city before they made their way up the Klangberg. According to the map, the mountain had to be huge and almost insurmountable, which seemed even more powerful and dangerous in nature. They went to the nearest pub and ate a large portion of the dish of the day. <I've never seen you here before. What brings you here? > asked the landlord. When Yoshta then explained to him that he wanted to go to the mountain hermit to train with him, the host suddenly started laughing vigorously. He justified his laugh: <You would have to go up the Klangberg, nobody has managed that up to now and I've been living here for several years. Everyone who tried had to pay their lives for this stupidity. I have already advised many against doing it, but there are always some stupid people who have tried anyway. However, as I said, it was the last thing they tried. In addition, the Bergeremit is a sneaky and mean person. He comes down from the mountain once a week and does some shopping at our market. I've never seen anything so terrible. And he's unfriendly too. I would think twice before training with that. > Thereupon Yoshta got up, paid his bill and said that if this mountain hermit manages to climb this mountain every week, then he can do it at least once. Yoshta was not interested in the landlord's appeal that they couldn't be compared. He thanked us for the meal and marched out of the house.<I suppose we're going up the mountain anyway> said the sword. The answer came promptly: <Don't ask so stupidly. Naturally. This is the only way we can take care of chicos. > You could tell that even Yoshta, who was bursting with self-confidence, was aware of the difficulty of the task, yet he still tried to exude calm on the outside. When he stood in front of the mountain, his fear slowly increased. <One misstep and I'm dead. And when I run out of strength, the same is true. So there is no way I can turn into Egoran, or that could mean my end. But I will definitely not give up because of that>. So the ascent began - and with it the danger

--- The first, not so spectacular, beginning of the Klangberg saga has been made, but the tension is soon going uphill, a first real fight will soon begin.
