Chapter: Chapter 4 - Saki Manami

I got up yawning, awakened by the knocking noise on the door.
"Tomorrow ..." I managed to say tiredly, trying hard not to sound rude as I was always in an oh-so-great mood in the mornings.
"Good morning!", Honoka was probably the exact opposite of me. Radiant, she had fresh towels in her arms and said "Breakfast is being prepared, but should be ready soon."
"Well..." //. : I would still go swimming afterwards but ....: // "You, Honoka? Where are the hot springs? I would like to go swimming now after dinner.
"That is difficult to explain ... It is best if I accompany you in the early noon and show you. There is never much going on, most of the guests are then exploring the city or something else."
That was a good idea. " Okay thanks.".
When she left I quickly changed my clothes, combed my hair and tied the headband around my neck.
So I was looking at myself proudly in the mirror because of the headband when finally someone knocked on the door again.
The old lady brought me the food and then went back out. I could see her glance briefly on the headband.
After I had devoured the food, I watched Konoha and the busier streets on the balcony of the room until Honoka came and we walked there ourselves.
"The hot springs are the first clues about Konoha. Many see them as a health resort, as they have a healing effect. They are suitable for many different diseases and wounds," Honoka explained to me on the way there.
Finally we got there and let us lead into the "ladies department" which was covered.
"I got the time to have a bath too!" Said the girl, beaming. "Great! Then I have someone to talk to," I said with a grin and we undressed and got into the hot water.
At first it was super hot for me, almost as if I was being cooked in a huge saucepan, but then my body got used to it and I just enjoyed it.Honoka told me a lot about Konoha and its sights and entertainment venues.
With this source opportunity, we slowly but surely became best friends.
"Oh! I have to hurry up! I have to go back!", She said with a laugh and I decided to go with her, as it was soon time for the meeting with Kakashi.
"I'll come with you. I have training today at noon," I said and also got dressed after I had dried off.
"Okay.", It came from her and she waited outside for me.
We arrived at the hotel together and I went back to my room. There I looked at the clock, which showed half past one.
"I have to go!" I said and went back out of the room, down the stairs to the reception and out into the streets.
I remembered yesterday's path and walked down it, hoping not to get lost.
Well, after a day I knew the streets around the hotel by heart, but I probably wouldn't be able to memorize other routes that quickly.
Once at the training ground, nobody was to be seen.
"Um ... Sensei Kakashi?" I tried my luck and looked around, listening for an answer. Nothing.
I wasn't sure if I was right now or not. But according to the scenario, it had to be right. Everything fit.
I sat on the grass and waited for Kakashi.
I didn't know how long I had waited when it finally came. I was slightly angry with him because of that, but I didn't show it.
"You are too late!", I accused him, but he only replied with "Oh sorry, I must have got lost on the way of life!" And grinned apologetically.
I sighed, wrestling with myself whether I should take this from him or just start laughing. //. : That I didn't think of it earlier! Typical Kakashi!.: //
"Let's start," he said optimistically like never before.
"I see you've already received your headband, that's good.", he said as an important comment.
I nodded.
"Very well. First of all, I have to teach you how to control your chakra.", He said with a smile and took out his book.
I nodded again. //. : that always looks easy, in the series ..: //, I thought to myself, but it wasn't even as easy as it looked, I should find out that anyway ....

*Timeskip*

"Your team will consist of Sasuke Uchiha, Sakura Haruno and ... Naruto Uzumaki.", Said the Hokage and I watched Kakashi closely.
"And what about Saki?" He asked after a while of silence. I looked at him in amazement. I was about to ask that too.
"Of course she is still under your protection, and so is her on your team. An exception will be made this time."
"But what about the Ge-Nin exam?", I asked the Hokage and he said, "You have already passed it."
I nodded reassured. Not that I had to do it again.
For about two weeks now I was finally Ge - Nin! I was still happy about it and had told Honoka everything in detail. I was amazed that she knew a lot about "us" ninjas!
She also seemed to have been very interested in my opponent in the final round - she had been there as a spectator.
There was still a lot going on in the hostels, many had come a long way and had taken vacations.
"You can go now.", The Hokage said and I was torn from my thoughts.
Kakashi was no longer as lazy as it used to be, around me, more relaxed. We got along better and I almost managed to get his past out of him once. I think it would have been the first time in years, but since that attempt he was changed.
Well, that couldn't be said of his "daily way of life".
In some ways, however, I had gotten used to it.
We got up and, after bowing, went out and walked down the aisle.As always when passing by, I took a look at the picture of the Hokage des 4th. I now also knew about Kakashi that they had called him Yondaime.
I hadn't heard from Naruto in a long time. //. : How is he doing? : // I wondered after looking away from the photo.
"... Kakashi?" I addressed him carefully.
"Huh?" He asked, turning his head to me. "What are you going to do with the team?" I asked, hoping for an informative answer.
He pulled his face into a smile and then said, "Hmm ... Let me put it this way: ... I'll see what I can think of."
* Open mouth * //. : Are you kidding me?. : //, //. : But at least it's not my turn * grin * I've already done my parts ..: //.
As if he had read my mind, he said, "But that doesn't mean that you don't have to repeat the missions and exercises. You have hurried to me as a guardian and it is your protection to repeat these exercises ..."
"Damn it, Kakashi ..." I swore and hung my head.
He laughed softly and pulled out his now volume 2 of Flirt - flirt - Paradise.
"How is Naruto doing?" I just had to keep asking myself this question and repeating it out loud this time without being noticed.
"He's definitely not missing anything ...", Kakashi said and only now did I realize that I had spoken the question.
I grinned, embarrassed. "Yes, possibly ..." I said, now lost in other thoughts.
I sighed and folded my arms behind my head as I always did.
On the streets, a fresh wind was blowing, mixed with the smells of the street and traders.
"So ... we part ways here, see you tomorrow in front of the hostel. I'll pick you up because you hardly know what it looks like in the academy ..." I was glad that Kakashi picked me up and said even when he was about to leave
"Okay, but come on time too!" and laughed at it.
He said nothing and went on reading his book while he fizzled out in the rays of the sun._________________________________________________________________________________________
