Chapter: The adventure begins

I had no idea what would happen today when I woke up.
My head was still pounded. I overdid it yesterday.
I only know that my father wanted to say something to me.
I can remember more.
I've been puzzling around for half an eternity when I got a call.
"If you want to have your little friend back, come to London. Someone from us will be waiting for you there."
Then the person hung up.
Shocked, I staggered a few steps back.
Kidnapped my girlfriend ?!
My brain had to process that first.
I changed with a small glass of Intus whiskey.
I pondered.
England ... my English wasn't the best and besides, I couldn't leave my mother alone in that condition.
I sighed.
Then I went out onto the now busy streets.
I badly needed a distraction.
But even when I tried, I couldn't suppress it.
This desperation that fought its way up inside me.
I fell on my knees and started crying.
I just didn't know what to do.
Maybe I should go to a psychologist for advice.
But maybe I should just tell my mother about it.
Maybe she would understand.
My heart aspired to her, to my great love.
It hurt so much not to be with her.
I felt a breath now.
It was nice and warm and it smelled of mint.
I looked up.
A girl knelt in front of me.
"Everything okay?"
I shook my head and let it hang again.
but she took her index finger and opened it again so that I looked into her eyes.
"Come on, let's go to me, there you will get some tea and then you will tell me everything ^. ^"
I nodded.
We got up together and she leads me to her.
I actually got some tea there.
It smelled like ... cherry blossoms.
"Now tell. What is it that knocks you down?"
"I found out a while ago that my fiancée was kidnapped. But I really don't know what to do. I don't want to leave my mother alone. She is dying."
My dried up tears came up again.
"shhh ..."
She put an arm around me and wiped it off again.
"I'm sure we'll find a way out together, okay?"
"Do you mean that seriously?"
"Sure. Where are you supposed to be going? Are they asking for a ransom?"
I shook my head.
"I don't know if you want a ransom. I just know that I should come to London because someone is waiting for me."
"Good. I am sure that your mother will understand if you can save your loved one. I will always provide you with the latest information from here until you return."
"And you tell me when the time comes, right?"
She nodded.
"Sure. I check on her every day, Kai (as a Japanese name)."
I was surprised.
"W-how do you know my name?"
"We went to Kai Elementary School together. I could never forget that face."
I cocked my head."You really don't know anymore what?"
"No."
"It's Sarah ^^ °"
I dropped.
"Right..."
"Did you know?"
"Nope, but now that you say it, I remember it."
"It doesn't matter. Well, I'll get you the equipment. After all, you don't know who these guys are and what exactly they are up to."
