Chapter: Wednesday evening

Chapter 1 - Wednesday night

"Jushiro !! Can you come?" a woman's voice called through the whole property. Of course, the person I was talking to came immediately to see what was going on. “What happened?” Sora shook her head. "No, but can you just take care of the children? You know, it's Wednesday and today everyone is coming to us. I still have to shop and cook and ..." loving kiss interrupted. "It's okay honey. Don't worry too much." Jushiro said smiling. Sora sighed once and smiled back. "You are right." "Mom, Dad! Look what I found in the garden!" The little 3 year old daughter of the two came running at such a speed that she would have run down everything else. Sora got down on her knees so she could look better into her daughter's eyes. "What do you have there my darling?" Malina has now reached her mother and opened her hands. "Look. I found lots of colorful berries. They are definitely good!" Jushiro and Sora smiled. "Sure, honey. You sure taste good. Do you know which berries they are?" "Strawberries and blackberries." It came immediately from Malina. She wanted to prove to her parents that she already knew everything. "Exactly. Take another look in the garden, you might find some raspberries too." She said with a smile and Malina immediately ran back into the garden. Sora straightened up again. “How fast they grow up,” Jushiro noted. Sora just nodded, turned around and went into the kitchen. Jushiro looked after her in amazement. "Tell me, are you all right? You've been pretty moody lately," Jushiro said innocently. "What do you mean that I'm moody? That's not true at all." Jushiro had meanwhile arrived in the kitchen. "Well ... the last two months you've really been a little different. Is there a reason for that?" Sora shook her head. "Oh honey, if something was wrong, I would tell you." She turned to Jushiro and walked over to him. Jushiro put his hands around her waist. "You are right. Can you help you in any way?" Sora approached Jushiro's face with her face. "I would be helped if you take care of the children," she said with a smile. Jushiro kissed her tenderly and read her again after a few seconds to give her an answer. “It's clear.” Then he gave her a quick kiss and went into the garden. The youngest daughter, Hanna, was taking her afternoon nap and so all he had to do was take care of the lively Malina for the time being.

Sora was looking for something in the kitchen when the calendar caught her eye while turning around. She looked at the calendar lost in thought and stood petrified in the kitchen. ° So it's that time again.Another year has passed. ° she thought to herself. Today was June 25th. For others, this day was the same as any. But not for Sora.

Hikari was in the living room, comfortably reading a book. From the pages that were left, you could tell that she must have finished the book soon. Then she closed it all at once. “I'll save the rest for later.” She glanced at the clock and wanted to get up when she had to look at the clock again to check whether the time was really right. "What? It's already 14:00? We have to be at Sora in half an hour." She put her book on the living room table and made her way to the in-house office, which Toushiro has set up to close his work To do at home so he could spend more time with Hikari. She knocked on the door to make sure she wasn't bothering him with important work. In response, she received a slightly tired "Come in." From her fiancé. "You have ever looked at the clock?" said Hikari a little frantically. "No, what's going on?" gave her fiancé back a little annoyed. He didn't like being rushed and Hikari knew that. Still, he let her go over and over again. He thought it was cute when she looked a little lost. "We have to be with Sora and Jushiro in half an hour. I completely forgot about it. Can we be on our way already? Or do you still have a lot of work?" Toushiro looked around and shook his head. "No, we can go on our way." He said with a smile and got up to give Hikari a kiss. "I'm just going to go to the bathroom quickly." Then he disappeared from the office.

Hikari was standing in front of the desk and a big smile formed on her face. ° He is just perfect. ° She looked at the desk and was about to turn around when the calendar caught her eye. “Today is June 25th.” She thought of Sora and made a sad face. ° I hope she is fine. ° Hikari didn't like it when her best friends were sad. And today was a date that one of her best friends was probably sad. She turned and closed the office door behind her. Then Toushiro waited in the anteroom and then went with him to the Ukitake estate.

Evolet was in the kitchen doing the shopping she had just done. “Somebody has to make sure that this family has something to eat.” Through the open kitchen window, she heard her husband playing with their son in the garden. When she had finished stowing the groceries, she leaned against the kitchen counter, right in front of the open window, and considered. ° Hmm ... we should go now if we don't want to be late again. ° She was about to call for her husband and son when they were leaning behind her in the open window. “What the?” Evolet was startled and took a few steps back."Well honey, did we scare you?" Renji asked with a smile. Evolet had to laugh for a moment. She liked these little games Renji and her son played. "Mom, don't you want to come out and play hide and seek too?" Mobua asked enthusiastically. "No honey. We have to go to Sora and Jushiro now." "Oh yes! Then I can play hide and seek with Malina." Mobua announced joyfully and left the window to run from the back door into the house to attract. "Yes, yes. He's a real womanizer. I think he spends too much time with you Renji." Evolet said sarcastically. "Well, I don't know what you mean by that." Renji said with a grin and then went into the house through the back door.

Ten minutes later, the Abarai family was on their way to see their friends. Mobua kept running forward and explored all the bushes and other things that he found on the way. He only kept his distance from insects because he didn't like them. For Evolet and Renji it was funny to see how their son stopped every 5 meters and took a few steps back to look for a new way to get past the insect.

Usagi was already on the way with Byakuya. It would be out of the question for her to be late because Byakuya makes sure of that. Usagi was in thought, which Byakuya noticed of course. He had a very good sense of recognizing things and quickly knew what was going on with others. "What do you have?" he asked her calmly. "Nothing. So it's not about me. I was thinking of Sora," she said. Byakuya continued to look at her. Usagi knew what that meant. “Do you know what date is today?” Byakuya nodded. "June 25th. But what has that got to do with Sora?" But after he said this sentence it came back to him. Usagi saw that in the expression on his face that he now knew what it was about. He looked away from her again and closed his eyes. "She should finally forget it. Just like you and the others. You all know what he has done and it is pointless to mourn for him." He said coolly. "It's not about him either, it's about Sora. I used to hate him as much as everyone else. But Sora is my friend and I worry about her." Usagi said. "Don't you think Sora is old enough to deal with it herself?" he asked his girlfriend. Usagi looked at him and was silent a little. "Yes ..." Byakuya looked at her. He didn't really want this conversation to end like this. "Sora has Jushiro and you know that he is always there for her." He said and smiled slightly at her. "You're right." Usagi smiled at him too. Byakuya didn't want to see his girlfriend sad or depressed. Especially not because of him because he was a bit too cool again. So he was happy to see Usagi's smile.

April was already on the way to her friends with Kisuke. They had a further way than the others, which is why they started earlier.Once a week, every Wednesday, they went to the Soul Society to spend a nice afternoon and evening with their friends. Each time that day was with someone else and always the household where the evening took place had to take care of the food. "I'm looking forward to the afternoon," said April. "Yeah, me too.
