Chapter 4 - An Unforeseen Attack and Its Consequences

The Six Women had passed eight months without any incidents. Evolet still hasn't been able to tell Hisagi how she feels about him. Neither is Sora. Since relatively many students left school in the last two months, mainly because they hadn't made it, the rest of the girls also sat down with Sora and Vio. Yoko had again applied to quit Shinigami Academy prematurely, but so far she hadn't received an answer. April and Usagi were getting bored more and more at school and were also thinking about taking the exam earlier. After all, she had really drilled Yoko in the last 2 1/2 months and that knowledge is there. However, Hikari enjoyed the time at the academy. That's why Hikari secretly didn't want to leave the academy, because she was afraid that she would not see Toushiro that often anymore.

"Oh Vio ... Since Sousuke is in the 5th division, I see him less and less. And when I'm there, Shinji always intervenes. The guy is really getting on my nerves now." She said to her friend on the left you sat. "Why is Captain Hirako getting on your nerves so?" asked her neighbor on her left. "You are ... my first love." Sora said to her friend Hikari. But our six girls didn't have time for the lunch break for a long time, because after only a short time, the alarm sounded in Seireitei. Everyone in the Shinigami Academy became aware and the teachers ran into the large break room to get all the students back into their classes. They were not yet Shinigami, so it was their job to take care of them. Even if one or the other could handle their Zanpakuto without any problems, they were still forbidden to leave the classrooms. It was very loud and restless in the class, as the first attacks could be heard from a distance. Several columns of black smoke were also seen rising into the sky. The six friends were at the window, just like the others, and had a bad feeling. Especially Usagi, because the direction the attack came from was that of the Kuchiki estate. The others knew that too and hoped Usagi's brother Nobu was not in danger. Now and then one of the five looked at Usagi to see if she was still reasonably well. But Usagi sat like on a bed of nails. ° I can't just stand here and look stupid out of the window. I have to do something. Nobu is in danger! I feel that! The other students stood there amazed and the teacher freaked out before he could do anything.

After only a short time, the six had arrived at the place where it happened. But what was presented to them there was not a pretty sight. The fight was already going on and there were already a few dead who were lying in front of the Kuchiki estate.Fortunately, Usagi couldn't see her brother anywhere. “Keep an eye out here, I'm going to the Kuchiki estate.” Usagi said and set off before her friends could answer. They looked around outside the property and quickly realized that the attackers were not here. “They all have to be inside. The other Shinigami too.” So the others made their way inside too. Inside, however, there was no different picture than in front of the property. Corpses lay everywhere. Shinigami, as well as the attackers, who covered their faces with scarves. Still, it appeared that the fight was mostly over. "What's going on here?" asked Hikari. “I don't know,” replied April. "We'd better take a look around the property," said Yoko. The others nodded and parted to have an overview of the large property. Yoko and April met on the terrace and could feel several reiatsu in one room. So they decided to see who was there. If the going gets tough, they could fight. They both grabbed their zanpakuto and made a sign that they were storming into the room. They opened the door and stood in the room with their drawn zanpakutos. But no longer to fight. They saw several people lying on the ground. Probably, very possibly even, they were dead. Whose blade they died from, they could only guess. Because in the room stood or sat three people. The young Byakuya Kuchiki stood in front of a crying person who was sitting on the floor and was holding someone in his hand. Byakuya, however, stood with his head turned to one side and did nothing. "Usagi?" Yoko asked carefully. The only answer she got was a loud sob and cry. Then Yoko and April understood that the person who was holding Usagi in their hands was her brother Nobu. Yoko and April ran put their zanpakutos back in their sword scabbards and immediately ran to her. They saw Usagi holding her bloodied brother in his arms and he was dead. Usagi himself was a bit of misery and hugged her brother even tighter. Her two friends were shocked and didn't know what to do. Byakuya, who was standing behind them, was calm and inwardly shocked himself. "Usagi ... what ..." but before April could ask any further questions, Usagi broke out. "What's happened?" she sobbed. "Ask him!" she points with her head at Byakuya Kuchiki. Yoko and April turned in his direction. "My brother sacrificed his life to save him! And what does he do?
