Chapter 1 - Monday
It was one of those Monday mornings when you should just follow your feelings and just stay in bed. Just because it was Monday. The first day after the well-deserved weekend. But being an adult means having duties. And having duties means getting up. The reluctance that spread in the brown-haired woman was of great extent, because it was also an inhuman time: 5:00 a.m. “Nobody gets up voluntarily at this time.” She muttered to herself as she got up with a heavy heart from the bed, which had retained so much warmth. With a sleepy look and hair that was just so far away, the young brown-haired woman went into the bathroom, slammed the door first before you could hear the flow of water.
Not far away from this incident, but at the door to the next door of the huge house, something also stirred. Not at the same time, but too early for the young fashion designer to see. With a grumbling and loud, hearty yawn, the black-haired woman straightened up to then perform the first deed of the day. Unfortunately, the first disaster of the day happened: the alarm clock, which could not be turned off. "You shit thing!" she slammed him in the head before she took the ringing device and slammed it heartily against a wall. A faint, almost suffering ringing could be heard again before the alarm clock completely said goodbye. Then she got up to start the day and went to her newly renovated bathroom. You could still smell the paint she had applied a few days ago. Then the door slammed shut and the water could be heard flowing.
After what felt like an eternity, but literally only 30 minutes, the brown-haired woman opened her entrance door and then locked it with the apartment key. It was going to be a warm day, so she was wearing a long shirt with leggings underneath. As an accessory, she had a belt under her chest, as this long shirt was almost like a short dress and was oversized, as well as a pearl necklace that matched the neckline. Also matching small white ear studs. She had her long brown hair down and because she had large curls, her hair always falls beautifully. When she arrived at the elevator, she waited until it got to the 20th floor. On the display she could see that he was on the first floor. That would mean: wait. Quite a while. But exactly after this thought, the door of her neighbor opened, who also came out in full gear. Short and lightly dressed, as she apparently knew that today would be a warm day.The young brown-haired woman smiled at her. "Good morning, Ruri!" the person addressed only became attentive through this "good morning" and now looked at her. "Good morning Sora!" she replied also friendly when she saw her friend. "Are you up so early?" the young Hotaru was amazed. "Well, today I expect a delivery of the fabrics that I had ordered weeks ago. And I need them so badly! Since the supplier comes early, I wanted to be in the store this time." She explained to Sora. She had to smile slightly. Yes, Ruri Uteo was a long-time friend of hers. Even if both had the feeling that they had known each other much longer. And Sora thought about the problems Ruri had when she recently left the delivery to her employee. She had specially told him that this was an important delivery and that he should receive the fabrics. But when the delivery was here, the clerk was firmly convinced that these were not the right materials. Because they weren't to HIS taste. That's why he had the delivery returned. When Ruri found out, however, she almost made him cold and threw him out in a high arc. Sorana was so caught up in these thoughts and inwardly giggled as she thought several times of the scene that she hadn't noticed that Ruri was already talking. "Tell me, are you coming now or have you grown there?" she asked standing with one leg in the elevator. "I just had to think about when you kicked your employee out for the delivery ... you know." She grinned and went into the elevator. “How should I ever forget that?” Ruri said sarcastically, sighed and pressed the 'E' for first floor.
In the same posh district in Tokyo, but now 2 hours later, a young blond-haired woman was sitting on her desk at the laptop and busily typing the keys. She was still wearing her nightgown, which suggests that she had only just woken up. Shiori Suzuki was her name and she was one of the most famous children's book authors. Suddenly her phone rang. First she let it ring, it was over after a short time. But then it began to ring again. The blond-haired woman sighed and reluctantly finished her work. "Suzuki?" she said into the phone when she answered. * Good morning Shi-chan! It's me, Miki-chan! I wanted to know where you are! I've been in the car for 15 minutes in front of your house! Arisu is there too! * spoke a familiar voice through the phone. "Oh yes, you wanted to take us with you today." Shiori grinned to himself. "I'm sorry, I was just writing my new book! I had such a good one ..." Shiori was interrupted * Tell me about this when you're in the car. I'm not allowed to park here for long! * Shiori heard from her friend Miki over the phone. "It's good. I'll be on my way straight away." So Shiori ended the phone call and grabbed her laptop to wait for the elevator in the staircase of the house.Thank God he didn't have to wait too long and so Shiori was already in Miki's car. "So, there I am! As I said, half asleep this morning I had a great idea for my new book and I just had to write it down straight away!" Shiori beamed at her two friends. Arisu looked at Miki as Shiori only talked about her new book in the back seat. "You can't get away from the subject that quickly." Miki sighed to Arisu. "Then let's just drive." Arisu grinned back. So Miki started the car and drove in the given direction.
After a short time, the first one was there, thanks to Miki: Shiori. Miki had dropped her off at her publisher's a few blocks away. Shiori still had to clarify a few details with him, such as: E.g. the number of editions of your new book. Not what she was writing on, no, she had recently finished another book. “Thanks for taking with you.” So she said goodbye to her two friends and got out of the car. She stood in front of a large building, which always impressed her with new ones. Especially since her publisher's office was on the penultimate floor. She looked briefly to the right and saw Miki's car again, which turned the corner, then she went into the building. First she drove to the little bakery, which was located near the entrance. After all, she had hardly eaten anything today, so she decided to buy a small croissant before taking the elevator to the penultimate floor.
Meanwhile, Miki has just pulled up to a modeling agency with her second companion, Arisu. "Wow, not bad. Looks pretty impressive." Miki said as she looked at the building, which only appeared to be made of marble and the best stones. "Yes ... you're right." Arisu replied, no less fascinated. She saw it for the first time today too. Arisu had just returned from America two weeks ago. She wanted to relax briefly before looking for a new model agency here. Those two weeks were up and she promptly had an offer. Today she saw her new agency for the first time. "Then I wish you a lot of fun, Arisu." Miki grinned at her friend. Arisu had to smile too. "Yes, thank you. I wish you a nice day too, Miki." Then Arisu got out of the car and waved to Miki again before she went into the building. Arrived in the building, Arisu first looked around. It's really impressive. The floor was made of white marble with a fine carpet in the middle of the room. The end of the carpet was by the lifts. All over the room plants were stylishly distributed and the ceiling of the room was covered with small works of art. A small smile crept onto Arisu's face. She was happy to be back in Tokyo.
Meanwhile, Miki had finally arrived at her small but nice office. She had forgotten some of her valuable texts yesterday and absolutely had to get them.In addition, she had to look anyway if there weren't any new orders. The office was in a no less smaller building than the one around it. The only difference was that it was not a specific building but was intended for several smaller office floors. Just like Miki had rented one. After the entrance there was also a small hall with the finest stone floor. It wasn't marble, but it was color coordinated with the walls. The carpet that extended was also well matched. Miki walked down the carpet. Somehow she thought fleetingly that it was the case in almost every building in town that the end of the carpet was at the lifts. But the thought quickly vanished. She greeted the familiar faces before she reached the elevator and pressed the button for the 16th floor where her office was. Several hours passed like this. She knew all of her friends would work too. Actually she had already done everything that was to be done. And it was only just noon. Miki sighed. "Who works around here? So who is most likely to be reached?" Miki muttered to himself. She didn't want to spend the rest of the day either here or in her apartment. But then she had an idea: the hospital. It was the closest and easiest to get to from here. At least she could walk and it would only take her 10 minutes. So she decided to visit her friend Sorana.
A little later, Miki was already in front of the hospital. Somehow it was all so hectic from the outside. Actually, she was often here, since she often visited Sora, and each time she stood for a few minutes in front of the hospital and watched the whole commotion. As I said, it looked so hectic from the outside, but only from the inside ... Miki had to sigh. She would rather not start with that in the first place. All the sick people, emergencies, annoying relatives ... she
