"Without repeating"

When I woke up the next morning, he was already gone. Relieved, I sat up and stretched. My eyes fell on the window where a car was parked in front of our house. It wasn't just any car. It was my mom's car.
"Damn it!" I hissed and hurried to the door.
Maybe she saw this Davis and kicked him out! Then what should she think of me? I hurried down the stairs to the kitchen. I winced, startled. Was this cat sitting at the kitchen table and actually talking to my mother!
He was wearing a black cap, underneath which he probably had his cat ears hidden. Because I couldn't see them. I ran in and mumbled "morning". My mom watched me pour myself some juice and Davis seemed to be eating cereal.
"Good morning, darling.", Said my mom. "Davis stood in front of the door this morning and asked for you. I thought that since you have to get up someday anyway, I'll just let him in. I didn't even know this or any living out of your kindergarten time. "
I winced and almost choked on the juice. I patted my chest a few times before I could speak properly again. Fortunately for me, his cat's tail wasn't there either, he'd probably stuffed it into his pants. I didn't really care either. The main thing was that he wasn't there when my mom came. But how did he get out? Did he slip past her?
"What do you want, Davis?" I asked in a voice that was a little too grumpy.
"I wanted to ask you if you can show me around a bit. You know I moved here," he said with a grin.
I thought I wasn't hearing right. As far as I am concerned, he can climb back on the tree where he fell!
My mom would be pissed off until I showed him around anyway, so I nodded and continued to sip my juice.
"As far as I am.", I finally grumbled and walked back towards the door. "I'll be right back," I said and disappeared into my room.

When I came out of the room he was already standing at the front door, ready to go.
"I'll go then, Mom," I called before I opened the door and left.
"See you soon, Mrs. Nadeshiko!" Davis called before following me and closing the door behind him.
I grabbed his arm and quickly dragged me out of the garden. When we stood a little further away from my house, I let go of him again and glared at him.
"Say are you crazy? Just come back again!" I shouted angrily.
"I actually didn't really leave at all," he replied with a shrug and put his hands in his trouser pockets.
"How do you mean that again?"
"Well, when I heard this car, I looked out the window and saw this person come in. I just climbed out the window and stood in front of the door a few minutes later," he said, nodding and grinning at me."You climbed out the ... window?" I asked with my mouth open. "Tell me, are you crazy ?! Maybe someone saw you!"
"Nobody saw me.", He sighed annoyed.
"And how did you get down safely? We were on the first floor!"
"I said I was something like a cat!" He purred.
"What does that have to do with it?"
"Cat instincts."
"Huh?"
"Cats always land on their paws. In my case, on their feet," he joked.
"I don't mean that, Davis," I sighed. "How did you even get to jump out of the window?"
"Well ... your mother came home. I didn't want you to get in trouble or anything," he muttered.
"Oh ... well then. Thank you. How do you know that this means ..."
"The person had to be part of the family when they came in here."
"And what do you want to do now?" I asked and looked at him questioningly.
"I was hoping that you would show me the area. Will you show me?" He asked lovingly and looked at me.
I had to sigh. That person, tomcat or whatever, was pretty exhausting.
"All right," I finally mumbled. "Then come with me."
I started running and he hurried a few quick steps forward to be able to run next to me.
"And where did you get the hat from?" I asked and looked straight ahead.
"From your closet.", He replied and also looked straight ahead.
I winced and wanted to throw something in front of his skull! But I had to pull myself together because quite a lot of people were on the way. And I didn't want to leave a bad impression either.
So I just grumbled something incomprehensible and just looked grimly ahead. My mother had to let him in too! Although it was actually my fault ... It doesn't matter! At some point the guy should have to go one way or the other.
