The departure

They went out of sight of prying eyes. She looked around again and put her hand on the tower. Then a door opened and they entered the tower. She pressed a switch that turned on the light, when the light came on you saw a huge hall that stretched upwards. The wall was bare, except for a few stone slabs that hung on the wall.
a spiral staircase led up.

"This is the Zephyr tower. At the top there is another viewing platform, from there you can see everything."

"So if no one has access here, why are you allowing me to enter this tower. I don't know the architecture. And I've been to many worlds.", He asked curiously and looked at the room.

"Why not? Nobody except Blacke and me knows the entrance. It's a place where I like to retreat with my friends or when I want to be alone."

"Well, let's go upstairs then? From the top you definitely have an excellent view.", He said and both of them slowly go up the stairs, "But what kind of tower chaos is that?"

"This tower was built to honor the old guardians. Secret documents are supposed to be hidden here somewhere, but unfortunately even I don't know where they could be. This tower is full of secrets.", She explained.

You arrive at the top of the tower.

"What a view. At least I can now take the time to take a look in the dive, it's all a bit too stressful for me.", He said and started to grin.

"I believe you.", She laughed, amused.

She sat down on the comfortable couch that stood there and looked out the window behind her.

"I like to be here. Especially with my brother ... when he's here.", She said and stared sadly out the window.

"You mentioned him before. What's he like?" He asked curiously.

"He's a great guy. He's just as freedom-loving as I am, but unlike me, he travels the world. Just just between us when people see us they think we're twins because we're so alike. ", she laughed," We are also very similar in character. "

"What's your brother's name?" Ryko asked curiously.

"His name is Maurice," she replies with a smile.

Ryko went to Sony.

"Maybe we should take him with us on our search," he said.

"Hm. That's a good idea. He loves to travel around the world, let's go back to the castle, then I can send him a message.", She said and got up.

Ryko's eyes changed, you could see the flame of passion in his eyes.

"Then let's go back to the castle for a race.", He started to grin cheekily.

Sony looked at him in disbelief, then they walked out of the tower together.
They made their way to the castle together. Sony stayed silent and tried not to get involved in a race with Ryko. During this time they were watched by an echidna in a long gray coat."That's you, you traitor. I finally found you.", He said.

Chaos walked through the main gate of the castle together with Ryko, she immediately went to her room where she switched on her computer.

"I'll email my brother right away," she said a little absently.

"We should go to bed slowly so that we are rested for the expedition tomorrow, I hope that your brother can still do it.", He said in a heavy voice.

"He'll definitely be in town tomorrow morning. I've always been able to rely on him.", She said and smiled slightly.

"It's OK, chaos. I'll lie down then, I'm completely exhausted from today.", He went to the door, "I wish you a good night.", He looked at her with a smile and left the room.

When the next day came, Chaos got up early and rested. She went down the stairs that led to the dining room.
Ryko was already sitting at the dinner table with Blacke and ate up breakfast.

"Oh chaos! Sorry I was so hungry, I ate all the freshly baked rolls with blacke on them, but the kitchen still found a few rolls from yesterday. Enjoy your meal." He grinned without blushing.

"Another gobball," she thought, "I'm glad you both became friends.", She said, took the smeared bread roll from Blacke and sat down next to Ryko.

"Hey! I wanted to eat that!" He complained.

"We should start figuring out where we're going, Blacke. Instead of filling our stomachs here.", Ryko said with a full mouth.

"I can't say exactly where we have to go. I can only travel around the world and see when I can feel the energy of the Emerald, because then it is nearby," he explained.

"I know what you mean, but where are we going first?" Asked Chaos.

"We just have to start running," replies Blacke.

"Do you know Infran City?" Asked Ryko.

Chaos and Blacke looked at each other questioningly, looked at Ryko again and then shook their head in no.

"I would have been surprised if you had known this city. I was there with Exiem on a mission. I remembered that when I was reading my reports on my iPhone last night. This is a city full of bandits and murderer, we'll find our answers, you just have to know the right people, "he said.

"Scourge would be fine there too," said Blacke.

"Blacke! Leave Scourge out of the game, but he could be useful to us.", She said with a light in her eyes.

"You are not serious now," he said incredulously.

"OK so means that we have a goal and a guide.", Ryko said and stood up.

"Well, let's go then. Show us where we have to go.", Blacke said.

"If these are all criminals, I finally have a reason to freeze or torch someone.", she grinned an indefinable smile.

Ryko started to smile strangely.

"Very well. But what about your brother has he already reported back?" He asked then.

"He'll be waiting for us at the city gate," she replied with a grin.

"I don't want you to ask him or suggest anything about the royal family," Blacke said seriously to Ryko.

"Why is that?" He asks Blacke back.

"Because he has never had anything to do with the royal family and therefore knows nothing," replied Chaos.

"If he's already there, we can be on our way.", Ryko said.

He grabbed Chaos and Blacke by the hand and ran off.
"Chaos you can eat on the way!", He added.

"Not my nice bun.", She howled after her meal when Ryko pulled her out of the room.

The streets of the city were still empty as it was relatively early. At the city gate they already saw someone who was apparently waiting for our friends.

"Yo. Tomorrow guys," he said and raised an arm in greeting.

"Aha, so that's your brother? Good! I'm Ryko.", He says and shakes hands with Sonic.

"Glad I'm Sonic the Hedgehog. Are you both friends?" He asked with his usual smile.

"Let's say unwanted allies," he grins at Sonic.

"Huh? Well, it doesn't matter. Where are you going?" Asked Sonic.

"We want to make our way to Infran City. I know the way there.", Ryko explained

"Infran City? I don't even know this city", he said with a smile.

"This is supposed to be a city of criminals," explained Chaos.

"What? Then why didn't you ask Scourge to come with you? He would be in good hands there," he replied.

"And how do you please? He has neither an e-mail address nor a cell phone. He is more difficult to reach than you, at least you have a PC.", She snapped.

"What is the argument? We are 4 people and I know my way around Infran City a bit. So don't panic.", Ryko tried to calm the two fighters.

"It's just that Scourge is the exact opposite of me, you know? He's one of those," he said.

"But that's not true either. He is just as loving as you are, brother."

"I should have gone alone.", Blacke muttered so that nobody could hear it but himself.

"Maybe we'll meet him there. Almost every rabble meets there. I just hope that Ayatas isn't there. But there are four of us, so nothing can happen to us."

"I'm curious how it looks there. How long do we need to get to this city?" Asked Chaos.

"It's very quick! We'll open the next dimensional portal. Um. We have a problem. Only Exiem could do that. We won't get there otherwise.", Ryko explained.

"Dimension portal? Do you mean we are going to another world?" Asked Sonic.

"Yes of course!How do you think we got into this world? Then everything is clear to me why you don't know Infran City. Did you want to look for Exiem and Raiza in this world? Exiem is constantly changing dimensions to get rid of his pursuers. "he explained.

"Then we just follow him. There is also another way to open a gate. Aren't you Blacke?", She said smiling.

"Yes, we have to go straight through the Mystic Forrest.", He replied.

"That's probably no problem.", Sonic said with a wink to Chaos.

"OK! Let's not waste any time. Follow me.", He said, he ran a few meters and suddenly stood and turned around, "Oh yes. I don't even know where we have to go.", He said apologetically and turned red.

"We have to get this way," said Blacke, taking the lead.

They went deeper and deeper into the forest, which was getting darker and darker. After a while they came to a clearing with two large pillars in the middle.

"This is the dimensional gate. There we get to the path between the worlds, that means Ryko will take the lead when we arrive on the path. Give me a second to open the gate.", Blacke said.

Blacke took out a kind of key and went straight to the dimensional gate, touching one of the pillars decorated with stars. A keyhole appeared, he put the key in and turned it. A gate of light opened between the pillars.

"Well then, Infran City, we're coming!" Said Ryko.

The group goes through the portal and disappeared into the light.
