Four weeks after the Burger World incident, Yugi, Tea, Tristan and Joey sat together after school and studied the newspaper. Yugi discovered an article his grandfather had already told him about. "Look, there is the article about the Egypt exhibition in the Domino Museum!" Everyone turned to it with interest. "My grandfather is friends with the professor at the excavation. He invited us all!" Said Yugi enthusiastically and put the newspaper aside. "We could even come this weekend" Tea and the two boys were delighted. So they decided that they wanted to meet in front of the museum at one o'clock on Sunday.
Since grandfather didn't want to miss such an exhibition and he knew the professor, he came to the museum. Everyone was on time ... except for the professor. He walked quickly towards the small group and shouted from afar: "MUTO!" Grandfather turned and greeted his old friend. Then he introduced the professor to the four young people. “Children, this is Professor Yoshimori!” Yoshimori nodded to the four and turned back to his old friend. "Muto, how long have we not seen each other", he laughed and still looked a little restless. "We can go now, right?" Asked Solomon, looking at the professor. But he shook his head and said quietly: "I'm waiting for someone too. She gave me and the director of the museum permission to look for and open the grave in the Valley of the Dead." replied the smaller of the two and looked at Yugi.
After a few minutes, there were quick steps behind the group that came closer and closer. They turned and looked at the girl who was hurrying towards them. She was very short, about the size of Yugi, and had long, black, hip-length hair. This was streaked with purple strands and tied in a braid. Most strangely, however, were her eyes. Because these were bright blue, like the sea. Her right wrist and a small part of her arm were covered by a snow-white bandage that stood out against her well-tanned skin.
Joey and Tristan stared at her and glanced at each other. Yugi pondered that something about her seemed familiar to him. Grandfather eyed her slightly in disbelief and Tea gave her a disgusted look. She didn't like it at all that the little one was prettier than she. The professor takes a step towards her and grinned at her: "There you are." "Sorry, but there were a few problems on the outward flight.", She shrugged her shoulders and Yoshimori waved her off. "It was only five minutes" Then they heard a bright bark and a pitch-black dog appeared behind the girl.He looked like a puppy because the dog wasn't that big. "Benny come here," she whispered and the puppy obeyed immediately. The young dog let her pick him up and stroke him. He wagged his tail and barked again.
"Um ... Professor. One question: Who is that?", Joey asked a little confused and looked curiously at Yoshimori. "This is Danny," he got in response. "Hi", grinned Danny and put the little dog down again. "Danny? From Danielle?" Yugi asked uncertainly. "Yes," she smiled at him, "I'm Danielle Mounir" Then Benny ran away and the black-haired woman whistled. But the little dog didn't even think about coming back. Danny sighed softly and followed the animal. Everyone else looked after her and Yugi's grandfather asked: "Who is she exactly? You said she gave you permission to dig in the valley of the dead." All eyes now turned back to the professor. "Yes, that's right. You must know, she is the daughter of Herakles Mounir." "Wait ... the name means something to me," Tea said softly. "That's because Heracles was the king of Egypt. Until six years ago," said the professor, "because he made Danny queen and on that day her uncle got angry. The anger had been growing in him for years, but that day he attacked the little one. She and her father lost almost half of the land in the process. Since then, Egypt has been divided into Alexandria and Thebes. "A few incredulous looks from Joey and Tristan.
Danny came back and set the little dog down next to him. "Stay seated," she warned him and he looked at her with faithful eyes. "Tell me," began Joey softly and the little one turned to him, "aren't you the girl from Burger World?" Immediately all questions gushed out of him: "How did you do that? That with the butterfly? Where did he come from and how did he change?" Danny avoided his gaze and preferred to look into the eyes of the professor, who was staring at her strangely .
"Don't we want to go in?" Asked Yugi after a few minutes of silence. "Yes," Danny nodded immediately and was the first to disappear into the museum. Yoshimori shook his head slightly and followed her.
The little one stood a little hesitant at the entrance of the building and waited for the professor. While the others were looking around, he came to her. "What was that supposed to mean?" He hissed at her. "How can I help it? They just happened to be there. I also didn't know that it was them who you invited.", She whispered back. Since Yoshimori saw the director of the museum approaching, he only said: "You should be more careful!" Danny didn't reply and she looked at the director ominously.
Yugi stood next to the others and didn't really notice what was happening around him. He just stared at the little girl, wondering all the time why she looked so familiar to him.It wasn't because he had met her in Burger World, no, something told him that he had met her before. But he couldn't assign them.
"Ah Miss Mounir ... Nice that you came.", The director grinned and shook her hand. With an ice cold expression in her eyes, she shook it and said softly: "I also need a signature from you" She held a clipboard under his nose and pressed a pen into his hand. He signed with a dirty grin and turned back. No sooner had he disappeared than she passed the pen and the form on to the professor, because she also needed a signature from him. Then Yoshimori wanted to continue the conversation: "Please, be careful ..." Danny only gave him a quick look and noticed that Joey and Tristan had come closer. "Thank you," she said quickly and grabbed the clipboard from his hand. Then she disappeared between the showcases.
Joey saw that and wanted to follow her, but Tristan was faster. He cut off her way and now stood in front of her. "Hello, I'm Tristan," he began and the little one just sighed. Somehow she had known something like this was coming. "Come on, get out of my way," she interrupted him harshly and wanted to pass him, but suddenly Joey was standing there. "Hi, I'm Joey," he began too, but was pulled aside by Tristan. "I was here first," he growled and Joey just looked at him laughing. “So what?” Danny took advantage of the moment in which the two were distracted and quickly disappeared. She still missed that the two of them wanted something from her.
Joey and Tristan looked around confused when she was no longer next to them. "Where did she go?" Asked Joey. "She went away because of you," Tristan snapped back.
The rest of the afternoon passed quickly, so they soon left the museum. Benny, who had to stay outside, was happy to see Danielle again. He jumped at her and licked her face happily. "It's a good little bit smaller," she laughed and took one last look at Yugi and the others before she picked up the little dog and turned to them. "So, I'll fly home now," she said and nodded to the professor again: "I think I'll take your advice ... it's not good if I ... well you know" Yoshimori nodded satisfied and then turned around. "When are you coming back to Japan?" Asked a shy voice in a low voice. The girl turned and looked into Yugi's eyes. "I don't know yet." 'But believe me, this will happen faster than you expect,' she added in her mind.
