Die Prophezeiung
New life, new luck or bad luck?
Today was the day when Kakashi and I would go to the next village to finally start a normal life again. For almost three whole years he and I had lived in the loneliness of the forest and trained myself and my Karugan and the skills of the Kanjo clan. He was proud of me. I felt that exactly when he looked at me or talked to me about my progress. I was like a little sister to him and he had become like a big brother to me, nothing more and nothing less. Lately we had reached the end, he couldn't help me anymore and I had been training on my own for the last three weeks. I had found out a lot. There were a few things I hadn't told Kakashi about. I just had no idea how to teach him that sometimes I heard his thoughts when they were very intense. I mostly didn't want to hear them and then quickly built the barrier around me, it just felt wrong.
"Ready, Runa?" He asked me.
I nodded. It was a strange feeling to know how to socialize again. We had to introduce ourselves to the next village in order to start all over again. To be honest, I was a little nervous, but there haven't been any real feelings for me for a long time. It was all so easier to process.
Together we stepped out of the forest and looked at the village below.
"Kakashi?"
"Mmh?" He turned to me and looked at me.
"Can you lend me a kunai?" I asked him carefully, my gaze fixed straight ahead.
He hesitated and was unsure, he was afraid that I would hurt myself.
"Don't worry, I won't hurt myself. I just want to do something before we go downstairs," I reassured him and turned to him. I put on my smile to convince him even more and he gave me one of his kunais.
Ratchet!
Kakashi's mouth was open and he looked at me in complete amazement. I handed his kunai back into his hand.
"What's going on, can we?" I asked carelessly and started the descent.
"Why did you do that? You were so attached to them, weren't you?" He asked puzzled.
I shrugged impassively.
"Too long hair is not good when fighting, and besides: I wanted a new beginning and that sometimes includes external changes", my cut hair was carried away by the wind. They were waist-length and they had never bothered me, but I wanted to symbolize my new beginning, for myself.
The conversation had gone well. I was now allowed to do missions.
At last!
We then stayed a little longer in the village and looked around. It was the first time that we were together outside of the forest. It was a strange feeling just walking through the streets with him like that. I looked up at him and looked at him.For me, friendship would never be an option for him, but I found the idea of him having a girlfriend tempting.
"You, Kakashi?" I asked hypocritically.
He only had a waiting look for that tone of voice.
Should I really ask him? Here and now?
"Oh, okay," I mumbled and just kept walking out.
He shrugged and followed me.
"What do you think of a new outfit?" He asked me as we passed a shop.
I shrugged indifferently. He wasn't wrong, something new would do me good sometimes.
"Why not?" I replied, sneaking into the store.
Just before Kakashi lost my nerve, I made up my mind. It took me a long time to find something suitable for me, but in the end I found it. A black tight-fitting top and long black pants.
Plain. Easy. Perfect.
"Never go shopping with a woman again," Kakashi vowed quietly.
I giggled softly to myself.
Moment.
I giggled What was wrong with me Immediately I stopped.
"Let's go home," I said coolly to Kakashi.
Hardly in the forest, Kakashi and I parted. I wanted to be alone one more time. Today was the first time that I really felt better, I had the feeling that something was constantly around me and was watching me. To be honest, I had noticed this much earlier, but I hadn't cared. Today, however, I felt it even more than usual. There was someone who broke the protective wall in me that I had laboriously built. I didn't want it to be true, but I knew what it was.
The shadow.
Why did he come back when everything was getting better? Couldn't he just leave me alone? Why did he have to make my life hell again?
I started running. Always further into the forest.
He followed me.
Why? Why now !?
Always further and faster. I could have activated the karugan, but I was far too scared of doing it near the shadow.
And what if it wasn't him at all?
When the shadow was someone else and Kakashi and I were wrong.
Did i want to know?
Yes.
Without looking exactly where I had run to, I knew I was at the lake. Our lake.
Is put me on the bank and waiting. I waited whether he came and touched me or would just continue to watch me silently from his hiding place in the trees.
It had already been two hours in which I just sat and waited. He hadn't moved, his eyes just rested on me.
"Show yourself," I said.
Amazement showed his feelings, but he came down.
He leaned casually against the tree and his feelings changed.
He was excited and tried to hide his feelings. I closed my eyes briefly and collected myself. Tried to calm down, to face the sight I was about to face again, to survive it.I slowly got up and turned around.
As expected, I looked into two pitch-black eyes that watched me wait and see.
