Awakening and living

Hall oils!
Have fun with the 2 Kapi!

I groaned and opened my eyes.
"Reika! Finally you are awake!" Someone shouted and immediately knew who it was.
My friend Kaori!
She lunged at me and for a moment I didn't understand what had happened, but I remembered.
The night. What happened? Who was the boy and what had he done to me?
"Reika! How long have I been waiting? I was worried! Reika!" She beeped and let go of me again.
I was in a hospital. In a white room that reminded me of the snow that day.
"What? Wait? What's going on?" I asked dazedly, my friend's concern rising.
"You were in a coma for 2 months. The doctors said that your wounds healed very quickly, too quickly, but it wasn't clear whether you would wake up!" She said quickly and I looked at her in shock.
Coma. 2 months, me? Have you been to the incident?
I sat up and got up.
"Reika! Sit down! You are still too weak! You have lost too much blood!" Kaori shouted frantically and tried to push me back into bed, but I pushed her away a little.
"Kaori, I'm still alive! I'm really fine!" I said with a smile.
"Good? You were found dead on the floor! Reika you were dead! All the doctors had given up hope! Everyone in the school was preparing for the funeral!"
"I'm fine! I survived! Can I go home?" I said sarcastically and was overwhelmed with surprised looks.
"Eh ... after an inspection you can go ..." said a doctor and scratched her head thoughtfully.
I nodded with a smile and slowly they left the room.
I sat down on the bed and sighed gleefully.
I noticed that there was a thick bandage around my upper body.
I stroked the thin fabric of a patient's gown and looked at Kaori, who was staring at me.
"What? Why are you looking like that?" I asked confused and looked at her questioningly.
"I'm just happy! My girlfriend was in a coma and now? You're fine again!" She said, waving her hands around.
I nodded and looked at her understandingly.
My hand went to my neck and I was startled.
I had a bandage there too!
“The doctors didn't know what you had, but they bandaged it anyway.” Kaori said with a smile and I nodded again, but I didn't understand what this wound was all about ...

* Jump in time ===> At home with Reika *

After a few days I was allowed to go home.
The doctors were very surprised why I recovered so quickly, but let me go because I passed all the tests.
I took my school bag, put on my jacket and left my apartment.
My first day of school after this incident!
My school wasn't very far from my home.
You just had to go down the main street and then turn into the left side street and then you were already there. On the way I checked out the area.
The snow had melted, there was only slush left, because I hated myself the most.
The sun was shining early in the morning and I was sure that it would be a nice day.
In front of the school I stopped and breathed in and out.
I went through the school gate as usual, then through the full school courses until I was in my classroom.
I sat down in my seat and it went quiet.
“Reika?” Asked a classmate and a loud murmur rose in the class.
"I'm here. I'm back. And please don't look like that! That looks really stupid!" I said with a laugh and grabbed my things from my bag.
After a while, Teacher came in and smiled at me.
"Nice to have you back! You won't be able to take the upcoming exam, but you should catch up on the material!" He said and I nodded.
Class started with math and I sighed to Kaori, who was sitting next to me and fumbling with her hair.
Disappointed, I looked out the window as it was raining and the clouds were covering the sun.
Math had never interested me. I've always found art, music or sport to be better.
After two hours of math, we finally had a break.
I got up and stretched, but then I felt a cramp in my chest.
I screwed up my face and left the classroom.
The hallways were full again.
Students who were joking in the hallways or just had to change rooms.
I shook my head and smiled again.
I was on my way to until I stopped.
The wound on my neck throbbed.
It was like I could hear it.
For a moment the world stopped for me.
I felt dizzy and a sharp pain spread through my body.
I held on to my neck hoping to stop the pounding, but to no avail.
I looked around helplessly and saw him.
I could recognize these eyes again and again.
Those black eyes as dark as the night itself.
I felt a queasy feeling.
I looked at the boy one last time and ran to the girls' bathroom.
I locked myself in a cabin and tried to control my breath.
My hand was literally on the wound.
The throbbing subsided and finally disappeared.
The bell rang and I realized that I was late for class.
I quickly ran out of the toilet and into the classroom.
The teacher for the next lesson wasn't there yet and sat me down in my seat, exhausted.
"What happened? You look so funny!" Kaori said and I looked at her surprised.
"Nothing." I said and put a fake smile on my face.
"Oh yes! No story! We have two hours off!" She said with a sly grin.
“As soon as I'm there, everything is gone.” Grumbling, but then had to laugh anyway.
The two free hours passed quickly.
I chatted with a couple of friends and otherwise stared out the window. It chimed for the long break.
I left the room together with Kaori.
Kaori overwhelmed me with things she considered important or informative.
We sat down at a table in the cafetaria and she told us what had happened in the past two months, but my thoughts were elsewhere.
My gaze wandered around searching until I found him.
Why am I so attached to him? Was that he at all?
"Earth to Reika! Hello? Someone at home? REIKA!" Kaori shouted and I looked at her, startled.
"Go on! Are you even listening to me?" She asked irritably.
She hates it when you don't listen to her ...
"Jahaaaaa ... I'm listening to you!" I groaned and looked at her again with an interested look.
She smiled like a cute little kid and kept talking and this time I really listened to her.
The break came to an end and I passed my time in class.
I either looked out the window or played with my pencils.
Everyone would go out, but the teacher held my arm with a warning look.
"Reika, I can understand that you are in a trauma or that you just feel terrible, but you still have to be careful in class! You have to make up for these two months, otherwise you won't make it through the school year!" them on.
"Yes of course, but you should put yourself in my shoes. I was dying! For some inexplicable reason I damn well survived! If you would excuse me, I have to go home." I said without waiting for her answer.
I sounded so cold and casual that it even scared me.
Thoughtfully, I left the classroom and walked down the hallways.
The hallways were empty, but someone was still whispering.
"What did you think? If she was against a blur-" hissed a boy, but was interrupted by someone else.
"She has to do it, otherwise she will mutate into a monster. Patience, I'll talk to her and teach her it gently." He said calmly and listened carefully.
Who is she? Why is it mutating and how? What if she is against it? What are they talking about !?
“There is someone.” He said and there was silence.
I tensed up and quietly crept away.
After leaving the school grounds, I turned around to make sure they weren't following me and started running.
When I got home, I made myself some tea and sat on the sofa, hoping to relax and just forget it, but I couldn't get this incident out of my head any more than I did the December night.
I looked out the window. It rained like never before. I heard the thunder and saw the lightning strike. The raindrops hit the window pane and ran down the smooth surface, sometimes slowly, sometimes quickly.
Thunderstorms fascinated me. It is a coincidence that my parents died in an accident in a thunderstorm. When so much gets stuck together in one, then there's a thunderstorm in you too, that's what my mother used to tell me.
I put back the cup of tea and got up.
I stood in front of the window and raised my hand.
I put it on the pane and felt the cold.
A smile played on my lips and I stared out the window for a while.
Towards evening the thunderstorm got stronger and stronger until it became unusual.
Night fell as time went on.
I was lying in my bed, but the light of the bit and the roar of the thunder did not let me rest.
That was a clear sign that it was going to be a sleepless night, but I had slept enough, in a coma.
The room was dark, but it was lit by lightning and plunged back into darkness.
Even a sleepless night has its end.

Every chapter comes to an end ^^
I hope you liked it!
