Returned
The beginning
Hello, this is my first FF!
I offer your understanding!
Have fun while reading! ;)
A little girl sat with her mother on a bench in the garden and admired the flowers.
Neither said anything, but enjoyed the hum of the bees, the warm summer breeze, the sweet smell of the flowers and the chirping of the birds.
“Mom?” Whispered the girl.
"Yes, my little one?" Answered the mother.
"Why are the flowers so perfect and the people not? They are beautiful and do not harm anyone!" The little girl gushes angrily.
"Well, isn't it the mistakes, the secrets, the strengths and the weaknesses that make you what you are, people? Don't these qualities make us so perfect and unique?" Said the mother and the girl with a laugh looked at her in amazement.
“That's just not perfect!” Replied the girl.
"Oh, my little one ... you will learn to deal with it. When you grow up you will know what I meant by that!" Laughed the young woman.
"But mom! Tell me! Pleaseee!" Said the girl, but the mother shook her head.
"Everything has its time. Believe me," she said softly.
Then neither of the two said anything.
“Do you believe in the here and now?” Asked the mother after a while.
The girl looked confused and hesitated.
"Yes ... We are in the here and now!" She said thoughtfully.
"Sure?" Asked the mother again.
Her voice was no longer so warm and soft, but had assumed something hard.
Her daughter was getting nervous.
What did these questions mean?
"Yes ..." she stuttered softly.
“Do you only believe in this world?” Asked her mother.
“Is there someone else?” Asked the girl and the mother smiled again.
"That is the right question! Is there another world? Do you believe in it?" Asked the mother and it seemed like a riddle to the girl.
"I don't know, I haven't been there either!" She growled.
"You're still too small. I don't think it's time to tell you ..." mumbled the mother, but the little one had long since stopped listening.
* After 9 years *
Together with Suki we left the school and walked down the streets.
“Maaan, finally summer vacation!” I moaned loudly.
"Finally! Are you there for the summer vacation?" Suki asked me and I nodded.
“And you?” I asked her.
"Yeah ... We are in Mallorca! How cool! But phone or chat, yes?" She said and I nodded with a smile.
Since my mother's accident, I've only been at home, at school or doing something with friends, but I haven't gone away.
"Say, can I have your certificate for a moment? Have to compare!" Without waiting for my answer, she tore the paper from my hand.
"You're better at math than me! Ha! That's why I'm better at biology!" She mumbled and I looked curiously at the certificates.
"You got a 4 in math? Didn't you get a 2 on the test?"I asked in surprise.
"Yes ... yes ... but I only had 5 in the questions! But you have a 3 in bio!" She said with a satisfied grin.
"Bad luck." I said and my reaction annoyed her all the more.
We said goodbye at the intersection and I went home.
I've lived alone since my mother's accident, 8 years ago, but I've got used to it.
I unlocked the front door to the big house and immediately went into the kitchen for a drink.
I drained the glass in large gulps and went up to my room.
I fell happily on my bed.
I sat up again after a while, and my eyes fixed on the family photo.
Slowly I reached out for it and took it in my hand.
Gently stroked the cold glass of the picture frame.
"I won't disappoint you Mama.Mama. Look how well I can cope without you. Mom, I grew up! I wish you were here and would drive away with me, just the two of us. Just the two of us. The two of us against them World! "I whispered softly.
I missed her very much. But what should I do? I couldn't just bring her back!
Suddenly I heard a rumble from above.
I startled and let the picture fall on the bed.
I opened the door and looked around the corridor.
It was probably coming from the attic.
I went up the stairs and opened the attic door.
It was just like before. I haven't been in there for 8 years.
I closed the door behind me and kneeled tight to see something.
It was all stacked on top of one another, just as mother had left it.
I ran across the room to make sure the sound was coming from here.
All at once I stumbled.
"Ouch! Man! ... Shit!" I muttered angrily and got up again.
Something was shining!
I picked it up and wondered what is it.
It was a tape, but not a normal one! It was blue and had a strange plate with a strange mark on it.
“What is that?” I asked myself quietly.
I stroked the sign.
No, I didn't know! Where from?
I held it in my hand and went down to the living room.
I sat on the couch and closed my eyes.
"I don't own it ... or do I? No! Why should I have something like that? What for? Maybe ... it belonged to mother! But what should she do with that thing? What is this damn thing useful for ?!" growled I.
I threw it on the floor and decided to watch TV.
I quickly forgot about the strange tape and looked at everything else.
After a while my eyes closed ...
I hope you liked it!
I am open to criticism and praise!
