Chapter: And It Starts Changing
The first double lesson came to an end and it was a break. Yong-Jun packed his things and took everything with him, he never made the same mistake a second time. They would go back to his things, break something or whatever. The guilty party couldn't be found because the class didn't whistle anyone who had anything against the Korean. Since then, every time he left the classroom, he took all of his belongings with him.
"Wait, Jun," it was Melanie's voice that called for him. The girl stopped behind him as he turned. Someone had called his name at school. It was terribly unfamiliar. "Shall we eat together?" She asked, showing him her happy, bright smile again. "Don't you like to get to know your new classmates? They can tell you a lot about me," he couldn't come to terms with the fact that there really was someone who spoke to him.
She laughed a bell-white, sugar-sweet laugh and shook her head. "Oh Jun, they can tell me a million times that you are a 'good-for-nothing', but I can just as easily form a picture of you for myself, right? That they say it doesn't mean that it does also true "and she was absolutely right. Yong-Jun really had to pull himself together now. Melanie was not a bad person, she was the first at this school who tried to find out the reason for this behavior.
It was probably because she was new to school herself, but that didn't matter. "You know they're going to knock you out then, don't you?" He asked cautiously. He was glad that someone wanted to understand him and, above all, get to know him, but he was worried that the same thing would happen to her. "It's always easier to go through something like this when you're not alone. Am I right?", It seemed as if her smile underlined each of her sentences. In those words, in those eyes, there was the pure truth.
"You're right," Yong-Jun agreed and actually returned her smile. "Ohhh," she said enthusiastically and immediately smiled tenfold. "You're so cute when you smile, you could do that a lot more often." "Um, thank you", his words were a hesitation, but maybe everything got better now.
Yong-Jun and Melanie spent the break together trying to get to know each other better. "Tell me something about yourself, Jun. Hobbies and such. Maybe also why they all treat you like dirt" Yong-Jun bit into his lunch so he could think about the correct answer until he had gulped down. “Well, it wasn't like that before. I had friends at my old school, but then my family moved and I ended up here read quite a bit, since nobody likes to do anything with me, there aren't that many options, "he said."Aha, I see. Well, we can change that. Let's do something together after school today. I don't even know my way around here. Show me the area, you've been living here for a while," she suggested. Now Yong-Jun was speechless. Melanie really wanted to meet him because he should show her the city. "Okay," he agreed. The blonde clapped her hands enthusiastically. "That'll be great, Junnie," she positively cheered.
It seems like everything is changing for the better now. Yong-Jun and Melanie slowly become friends. Will the classmates accept this friendship or will Melanie now also make life hell? You will find out in the next chapter. ;-)
