Chapter: After school activity

After school, the two walked across the schoolyard side by side. Yong-Jun didn't even put on his headphones. They hung around his neck. "What do we do now?" He asked Melanie. "You have to decide that. What do you feel like doing?" She asked the other question. "What do girls want to see like that? The shopping center? I can show you if you like," he suggested now. "That sounds great. Let's go to the shopping center"
Now the goal was set and the two set off. On the occasion, Yong-Jun showed her a few other things that were on the way. "And if we go down there on the right now, we will come to the shopping center," he explained. Suddenly his cell phone rang and he picked it up after seeing that it was his mother.
"Where are you, Yong-Jun," she asked, sounding a little worried. "Sorry Ma ', I'm in town with a classmate," he told her and then it was quiet. His mother wasn't sure if she understood correctly. "Has something happened?", She then asked and still couldn't quite believe what he was saying. Of course she was happy for him, that was finally good news again. Her son hadn't dated after school in five years. "No, Ma '. Everything is fine. We have a new student, she is sitting next to me in the school," Yong-Jun explained the situation. "Bring her with you later when she has time," suggested his mother. "I'll ask. See you later," after saying goodbye to his mother, he hung up.
"Oh my god! It's so cute when you speak Korean", Melanie suddenly said and drew attention to herself again. "Do you think so?" Yong-Jun asked confused. "Yes, of course. I don't understand it, but it sounds really great." "Hmm, thank you," he just said and then he remembered what he wanted to ask. "Oh yes. My mother wants to know if you can come over to see me again today? Only if you have the time, of course," he passed on to his mother's request. "Of course. I would like to go with you," she said then.

They then went to Yong-Jun's home. The house was on the outskirts and was in a quiet, somewhat idyllic location. The teenagers entered and were greeted effusively by Yong-Jun's mother. "I'm so happy that you found the time," she smiled pleasantly. "Don't worry," Melanie also showed her sun-like smile. "I cooked. Are you hungry?" Asked the woman. "I do. What about you, Melanie?", Yong-Jun asked the girl. "Mel. Just say Mel," she asked. "And yes, I'm hungry too," her smile was definitely that of an angel.
After dinner, they went to Yong-Jun's room. The Korean had a considerable collection of video games, only a little later they were already sitting on the floor in front of his bed with the controllers in their hands. "I warn you, I'm really good, I hardly do anything else when I'm at home," explained Yong-Jun and started the game."And nobody can see through my system," warned Melanie. "We want to see that," laughed the boy. "Ohhhhhh", Melanie squealed and he had to look at her. "You have such a nice smile," she complimented him. "Um, thanks," he replied and then they started the game. But the decision was made quickly.
"How did you do that ?!" Yong-Jun shouted, very upset. “How did you manage to defeat me?” But Melanie just laughed: “I said no one could see through my system”. Then the Korean looked at her speechless. "You don't have a system! You just hit the keys," he just couldn't understand these types of players, they had no idea what they were doing but won anyway. "Yes what? I won, that's the main thing," she laughed again and Yong-Jun sighed and surrendered.
Melanie's cell phone rang and she read the SMS that had just arrived. "Oh, Amanda wrote ..." she uttered rather coldly. "Have you put yourself on the class list?" Asked Yong-Jun. "Yes," replied the girl. "Me too at the beginning, they terrorized me, then I changed my cell phone number and at least had some peace at home," he said sadly. "She asks whether I'm sure that I hang out with you or that I don't want to be accepted into her circle after all. Honestly, who wants to be friends with people like that? I'll definitely be friends with you "
"Amanda started ... Back then ... I don't even know what she's got against me, but suddenly everyone was behind her, she won't give up on pulling you on her side and if you don't give in, you'll be in the line of fire too," Yong -Jun didn't want anyone else to suffer as much as he did. It was anything but easy to be completely on your own, he didn't want anyone to do that. "Well, you must have done something to her?" Melanie asked incredulously. "But I really don't know what the trigger could have been." "Hm, we'll find out, I'm sure you can talk about it. Maybe it was just a misunderstanding," thought Melanie and wanted to let the topic rest for now . She smiled at him. "Oh, can't you put on another pair of glasses? You look like a nerd with them, that doesn't exactly make your image better," her lips still radiated a friendly, warm smile.
"Strictly speaking, I don't need glasses anymore. I used to need one, now I just wear them to hide behind them" Now Melanie looked at him in disbelief. "Oh my god, then please take them off. Why should you hide such a pretty face?", She asked and the next moment he pulled the glasses off his nose. "Nice face?" Asked Yong-Jun confused. "Yes, of course. Are you serious about telling me you think you are ugly?"Um, n-no, i-I don't know ..." he stuttered awkwardly. He hadn't looked at anyone without his glasses for a long time and it was difficult for him to keep his eyes open.

Amanda seems to be the cause of all the evil and is still trying to get Melanie on her side, how long will she be open to Melanie before she behaves the same way as she did with Yong-Jun? Is Melanie strong enough to continue to stand by Yong-Jun's side and be a good friend to him? You will find out in the next chapter. ;-)
