At last. The long-awaited school bell rang. Within seconds the corridors of the boarding school were overcrowded with students of different grades. Happy and relieved faces were everywhere. Everyone was looking forward to what was coming: the summer vacation! Six weeks without school, lessons and annoying teachers.
Some students stormed out of the building immediately, while others went to their rooms to pack their things. These were the ones who left the boarding school for the holidays. The rest of them couldn't leave. Either it was impossible because of something with the parents or there were other reasons.
In some places, such as the common room, groups formed. The friends were all talking eagerly about what they wanted to do during the holidays. Conversations arose about a visit to the outdoor pool or a shopping tour. Of course, sporting activities such as football could not be missing.
All in all it was a hustle and bustle. But not only the students were happy about the vacation. The teachers were also given a break. They sat together in the staff room and talked about the achievements of some of the students, the most recently written assignments and one or the other plan for the coming weeks.

Five weeks later ...
Once again the entire teaching staff had gathered in the staff room. They prepared everything for the new school year and the new students. They still had a whole week to go to school, and yet everyone was already stressed. Timetables and worksheets had to be sorted, books had to be allocated and coffee had to be drunk.
But not only in the staff room was hectic. Schoolchildren also ran stressed through the corridors. Some were studying for work at the beginning of the school year, some had club affairs to attend to, and still others showed new students around. Only a few escaped the hustle and bustle and were either in their rooms or somewhere on the boarding school premises.
Apart from the stress and hectic rush, they all had something in common: They were excited about the new school year and the new students ...
