Krellin was still holding 18 in his arms. He held her tightly as he floated slowly to the ground. "If you want to have friends so badly, why don't you approach someone?" he asked cautiously. C18 broke away from him. "You know that I'm not like that! I can't!" she said. Krellin smiled. "And if someone approaches you? If you're looking for friends, you have to get involved with others!" C18 looked at him angrily, but Krellin could see the despair in her eyes. "I can't change anything about my character! Dr. Gero made me who you see here!" Krellin smiled stronger now. "Oh C18!" he said aloud. "You can't change yourself, you say? And how do you explain the little girl in there?" He pointed to her house. "When you got here, you wanted to kill us with joy and now you have a family and your husband is one of those who you came to kill!"He looked at her." Look at yourself! You never admit it, but inside you are just as vulnerable as any other person! "18 looked at him with flushed cheeks. She looked angry." And you have feelings too. Krellin stood inside and smiled. "Maybe this is the best medicine for you!" he thought. Then he took care of Marron. “Hey Sparrow!” He picked her up and walked into her room with her.


18 was staring at the setting sun and had his arms crossed. " What should I do ?" she asked the sun. “Why can't I change?” She kicked in the sand. Then she thought of Krellin and what he had done and still did for her.She owed him her life several times and yet he had never insisted on repayment or reward. On the contrary, he was often so shy as if he had done something bad. 18 had to smile against her will. And how tender he could be. 18 had been watching him closely lately when he was with Marron. He had that warm charisma that she didn't. "He's just a human!" she thought frustrated.


After a while, Krellin came out again. Marron was in bed and had calmed down. He watched 18 for a while and then crept up. She was so lost in thought that she didn't notice him. After all, Krellin was not a meter behind her. He waited. Then after a few minutes, 18 sighed and turned around. She stared into Krellin's eyes, startled, and didn't move. "My God, those eyes!" thought Krellin. “I don't know anyone who has a look like that!” He came very slowly closer. 18 still gave him a startled look.Then he gave her a very gentle kiss on the cheek and looked at her again. Then he kissed her forehead and chin. Then he looked at her again. After a while he pointed to his cheek. 18 gave him a big look. Then she leaned over and kissed his cheek very carefully. Then his forehead and chin too. Finally she got over it and kissed him on the mouth. Krellin returned the kiss and so they stood there for a long time, hugging each other.


The moon rose. The sea rushed softly and to and fro came a cool draft through the warm air. Krellin and 18 were sitting side by side on the beach on a blanket and looking at the moon. Nobody said a word. At some point Krellin began to stroke 18 through her hair and trace the contours of her face with his hand. She closed her eyes and let it happen. He brushed her mouth and then carefully ran from her forehead to the tip of her nose. Then he carefully held her head and kissed her again.18 in turn began to stroke his neck. They hugged again and Krellin hugged 18 tight. He rolled over on his back and she laid her head on his shoulder. She huddled close to him. So they lay there and gazed at the stars while they caressed each other. Still they didn't say anything. After a while, Krellin noticed a tear running down the walls. " What is ?" he asked softly. She looked at him. " I'm so happy !" she whispered, sealing his mouth with a kiss before he could ask any further. They fell asleep late at night, hugging them. Before his eyes closed, Krellin whispered in her ear: "I love you!" C18 smiled and kissed him gently. “Me too!” Then the moon shone on their sleeping faces. They looked happy.
