Eternal Solitude - Chapter 3

So here is the next chapter, I was really happy about your comments and so I hope you enjoy this FF as well.

Sorry that it took so long, but now you can finally read the third part.

Chapter 3

Bulma slowly got out of the car and looked around. It had gotten pretty hot and I had to put my hand in front of my face to avoid being blinded by the sun.

What should she do now? Should she just forget about Yamcha? Should she just throw it away all these years? Hate him forever? Could she even do that?

No, she couldn't. Still, after everything he'd done to her, she couldn't hate him. He was part of her, she had known him for so long. He was always there for her. Sure, their relationship hadn't gone much for a while. She was even glad when he left.Yes, she no longer felt love for him, that was certain. But she still liked him - as a friend.

Bulma had made up her mind, of course it was unforgivable what Yamcha had done to her, but that didn't matter now anyway. It was too late and now she had to at least keep her friendship with him.

Sighing, Bulma stepped onto the porch, opened the door and stepped inside. * Hm ... What is Vegeta doing right now? Was he worried about me? No never! I'm sure he even made fun of me when he saw me lying on the ground. * Dejected, she made her way to her room. Was there anyone still interested in her? Actually, if she was honest, she had always been alone. Yes, it was like that. No one had ever really cared about her feelings. No one had ever given her consolation when she was ill.

Bulma walked into her room and at that very moment she realized it - she was alone - then, now, and forever.

Bulma's eyes were obscured by tears and a soft sob came from her throat. She felt hot tears on her cheeks and buried her face in her hands. She ran blindly to her bed and threw her head into the pillow. What happened to her all of a sudden? She had never had such thoughts before. Why did she only become aware of it now? Hadn't she noticed because she was always so absorbed in her work? Or had she just suppressed the truth?

Bulma was finished, she just couldn't go on anymore. She felt an infinite emptiness rise within her, felt how everything around her broke up, everything disappeared and finally there was only darkness.

Liese came Vegeta up the stairs. It was already one o'clock in the morning and he wanted to sleep. He strolled calmly down the large hallway and made her way to his room. But when he noticed that Bulma's door was open, he decided to see if she was sleeping.

It was like that. She lay there, wrapped tightly with a blanket. Vegeta wanted to go on, but heard a sob that clearly seemed to come from Bulma.

Vegeta raised his eyebrows and quietly approached the sleeping Bulma. When he stood in front of her, he noticed the wet marks on her cheeks. * Strange, why is she crying? Oh, people are cluttered. She's probably still crying about that weakling. What does she think about it? * Vegeta snorted. She should be crying. It was none of his business.

With a quiet step he stepped away from the bed and ran to the door. He wanted to close it again, but it didn't happen until he glanced at her again. Shaking his head, he went to his room. What was the matter with him? Why was this earth woman interested in him all of a sudden?

Vegeta let himself fall on his bed and brushed his clothes, except for the boxer shorts, from his body. He slipped under the covers and wanted to sleep. But whatever he did he couldn't sleep. In his head all his thoughts revolved around Bulma. He just didn't get it. How could such an earth woman confuse him so much? How could she give him such a headache? Vegeta got angry, he had to finally get his mind off her. But how should he do that?

When Vegeta asked himself this question, he didn't notice how tired he was and how he slowly sank in the realm of dreams.

Bulma turned again in her bed before finally opening her eyes. The sun tickled her nose, which made her sneeze. Half asleep, she decided to go on with her life as before. She would just put her loneliness aside and sort things out with Yamcha first. At first she didn't care what should come after that.

Bulma yawned and then crawled out of bed, still tired. She went over to her walk-in closet and took out a few things. She got dressed quickly, but had to be careful not to put too much strain on her injured hand. Then she stood in front of the mirror. She got a little shock when she looked at her reflection in the mirror.

Her eyes were red and there were black shadows under them. You could see that she was crying. She first had to go to the bathroom and wash her face. No sooner said than done, Bulma made her way to the bathroom and first washed her face, then brushed her teeth and finally combed her hair.

When she finished her morning toilet, she made her way to the kitchen. To her amazement, she met someone there she hadn't expected. Vegeta was sitting at the kitchen table and was just about to eat a full sandwich.

Bulma, however, did not let himself be disturbed by him, she greeted him with a "good morning" and sat down opposite him at the table.

But Vegeta didn't look at her, just answered with a low grumble.

Ignoring Vegeta, Bulma picked up a slice of toast that, like many other things, was piled on the table. Then she grabbed the butter and he jam and began to smear the toast with it. Or at least tried to.

Vegeta just looked over at her. He noticed the bandage on Bulma's hand and had to suppress a grin when he saw how clumsy she was doing with this when smearing the toast.

Bulma tried to smear the toast with his left hand and with the other, injured, hold on to it. But Bulma dismantled the toast, and he flew from plate, over to Vegeta.

Bulma stared at him with big eyes and her face turned slightly red.

Vegeta had to hold back another grin when he realized how embarrassed Bulma was.

* Vegeta is sure to laugh at me again or throw some meanness at me * thought Bulma and looked down.

But he didn't.Vegeta reached across the table to Bulma and took the cutlery from her hand. Then he took the butter and the jam jar and began to smear the toast for Bulma. Bulma stared at Vegeta in disbelief but didn't say a word.

When Vegeta was done, he gave her the toast and continued eating his sandwich.

Bulma sat in her seat as if puzzled and now stared at the toast. Vegeta, on the other hand, had finished eating and cleared the table without giving Bulma a single look. When he wanted to leave the kitchen again, he heard her calling his name and turned to her. "What is it?" He asked impatiently.

Still a little confused, Bulma turned to Vegeta. "Thanks..."

Vegeta snorted. "Just don't imagine anything on it. I just hate it if someone disturbs me while I am eating. I also wanted to prevent me from getting the toast the next time." With these words he turned around and left the kitchen.

Bulma sat in her chair, completely confused. * Of course, how could it have been otherwise? And I thought he might have changed. How stupid of me. *

Angry, Bulma got up, ran to the door and yelled after Vegeta. "I didn't need your help at all!"

Offended, Bulma turned around again and cleared away her part of the table. The hunger was gone and she wanted to eat something of Vegeta least of all.

After wiping the table, she made her way into the living room, where she found a note. It was a message from her mother. Apparently they were at a conference that would last several weeks.

* Great, now they're leaving me alone with Vegeta! *

And the third chapter is done! Hope you like it and you write me a lot of comments. Hopefully the next part won't be long in coming either. The more comments I get, the faster I continue to write. ^ - ^

Love you
