Fanfic: Ein Licht im Dunkel

Chapter: A light in the dark

So this is my second fan fiction after "Weakness or Strength". I hope you like them, and please write lots of comments again!

Chapter 1: Visions

Everything is black. Life seems to stand still. There is silence. A deceptive silence, the calm before the storm. Then - a flash of lightning. The darkness clears and a blue planet emerges below it. On its surface you can see traces of a war, battlefields the size of entire countries. Screams can be heard from afar. You sound desperate, begging for help.

The outline of a person hovers over the rubble of a city. One cannot recognize anything exactly, no malignant facial features, no dangerous appearance. He stands still. But its charisma reflects all the suffering that seems to have happened to this tormented planet. A deadly cold emanates from him.

Below, in the ruins, a couple of bright lights move, illuminating the penetrating black. One by one they move towards the black outline, but almost each of them goes out on contact. When a particularly bright, warm light goes out, another grows to an unimaginable size. It radiates heat and cold in equal parts. At high speed it flies towards the darkness and -------

“AH!” Seika woke up drenched in sweat. She sat candlelight in her bed. She was breathing heavily and irregularly. She held both hands in front of her eyes, still not really real again.

She had these dreams for nights. Again and again this planet, the war, the suffering, the battle and the bright light. What was that supposed to mean? Why did she have visions again?

"They only come when great danger is imminent ... It has never been different. What could be so bad that, even as my brother wished, it still penetrates my dreams?"

She heard a low murmur. Trunks lay next to her, still snuggled close to her.He slept restlessly, his eyes narrowed. "You can feel that too, right?" Thought Seika.

She lay down next to him again, hoping that his presence would give her the security of a peaceful sleep. "I want to know what's going on ... that's not going to happen! I'll pay Dende a visit first thing tomorrow morning. He's God here, he must have some answers for me!" She fell asleep again, this one Sometimes dreamless and calm.

The first rays of the sun tickled her nose. Slowly she opened her eyes sleepily. "Well, finally awake?" Trunks smiled at her, with his bright blue eyes. She felt better than last night, felt safe when he was there.

And yet Trunks still didn't know everything about his beautiful wife. He had never found out what had happened on Neu-Namek two years ago. From the day Seika found and saved her lost brother. She had released Brolly from his life of hatred and loneliness and showed him the way back to the light.Light ... lights ... ?? Her dreams ?! It hit her like a blow. "He needs me!" She thought. But unfortunately she had thought out loud ...

Chapter 2: Confessions

"Who needs you? Who are you talking about?" Trunks was visibly confused, his smile gone. "Oh no, what a bummer!" thought Seika. Apparently she had gossiped.

"Oohhhhh ... Just an old friend of mine. He wrote to me that he needs my help with something. It's really nothing to tell you about" --- "Honey, I don't know if you've forgotten it, but I always pick up the mail. And there was nothing left for you in ages. So what's the matter? "

She didn't like him like that when he had to dig at the slightest uncertainty. She didn't want to tell him about her story. He could be a loving husband and father, but when something suddenly came unprepared, and bad news on top of it, he became like his father. So what should she tell him now? She was afraid of being misunderstood. How would Trunks react if he found out that another genocide had appeared in Seika's family? She was troubled inside, and Trunks didn't miss it. He knew that worried look in her eyes.

Seika stood up. "The best thing I do is make us a nice breakfast. It's been a long time since we all ate together, us and the children. Let's see what else is in the kitchen" ---

“I asked you something, Seika!” She bit her lip. She had expected that he would see through her diversion. Slowly she turned to him. He had got up and was now looking intently at her.

"I don't want to talk about it, Trunks. Please don't ask me about it, you certainly wouldn't understand." "And whether I ask about it! For that reason alone!" He held up his right hand, which was holding the wedding ring. "Do you remember? We made a promise to always stand by, to help and - to trust each other !!"" But I'm scared of it. You certainly won't understand me when I tell you what "---" Then you shouldn't have married me if you didn't trust me! "He shouted, now loud.

Seika was crying. She turned away from him and went into the nursery. Nobody was there, the little ones were at Grandpa Veggie's. No kids to distract them. She was sad and angry. And Trunks was right! "I'm there for you. Always. Otherwise I wouldn't be your man." He put his arms around her waist from behind and laid his head on her shoulder. She turned to him, tears still glistening in her eyes. "You can trust me."

They sat on their son's bed and Seika told Trunks her full story. He listened attentively to her, but was inwardly very surprised, almost shocked. He covered it up. When she was done, she asked him: "What do you say now? Can you trust someone who has 2 murderers in the family ?!"Sadly, she turned her face away again, but he turned it back to himself." Of course I trust you, I promised you that at the time! How could you doubt it? I love you "He took her in his arms." I love you too ... "Seika was happy again, she was wrong about her husband.

"Something's been bothering me lately," she said, and told him about her dreams. After she finished, he said: "I don't dream like you do, but I feel that something is definitely wrong ... Something dangerous is coming our way. --- You said you wanted to check out at Dende, what's going on. I'll come with you. I'll carry you! "And before she could say anything, he had picked her up and flew out of the open window.

They could have been there much quicker with a timestop teleport (TT), but she enjoyed the fact that he looked after her like this. And for a moment she was rid of all her worries.

When they finally stood in front of God's palace, Dende came running towards them.
