Lucky Hikari ...?

Part 1 - Old acquaintances

I quickly dug out my key and locked the door of my apartment. The neighbor dog panted happily at me and after I briefly stroked his soft, gray fur, I ran down the stairs to the bicycle cellar. The loud click of the lock echoed around the room as I unlocked it. I sat on the saddle and kicked out of the dark, cool cellar. Outside the July sun was pleasantly warm and the wind played with my blond hair. On the way I greeted some acquaintances who came to meet me.After about half an hour I reached the ice art hall. I parked my bike at the bike stands, locked it and then entered the hall. Today was the last opportunity to train for the tournament that was to take place the next day. Here, too, I met some acquaintances and greeted them on the way to the locker room. There I put on my tracksuit and ice skates and then went to the ice rink.

To my amazement it was completely empty. It was probably because it was already quite late and the others were now resting. After taking off my jacket, I stepped on the ice and warmed myself up first. This was followed by a few exercises, especially on the difficult areas. When I felt that I had mastered them well, I walked up and down the hall a little. I took a few steps that weren't part of the actual freestyle for tomorrow. And so one step followed the next. After a while I ran a freestyle that was in my head. It took a while before I remembered how I knew her. When I heard faint clapping from the entrance to the hall, I stopped and looked questioningly in the direction. My partner Ryou stepped on the area and ran up to me. "Hey, not bad at all. Made up yourself?" "Yes ... with a good friend." Short pictures flew through my head. Images that I had displaced and buried deep in my memory.

I looked at Ryou's smiling face and returned his smile. His short brown hair lay cheekily over his green eyes. Despite the fact that he was two years older than me, we were in the same category (in terms of figure skating). “You're late.” He rubbed the back of his head, embarrassed. “I'm sorry, but I still had to change a tire.” Grinning, I put my hands on my hips. "At your age you should try to get a driver's license. Really, when you are 19, skating every day is not the real thing, is it?"He grinned too." Hey, I'm a sporty guy! " "If you think. Should we start? "A short nod and we both ran to the middle of the area and practiced our run. In the evening we broke up and changed. I grabbed my backpack and met Ryou again at the exit.

“Do you want to have a drink?” “Hey, hey, are you going to get up to me?” Ryou folded his hands behind his head and spoke in a mock innocent tone. "I don't ..." We laughed briefly. Ryou was a good friend because I had known him for over 1 ½ years and we were always joking around a little. I checked my watch. "Well, I still have an hour." So we made our way into the city center. The sun was already setting and the street lamps were glowing. Ryou tied the laces of his skates together and then held them over his shoulder while I pushed my bike alongside. “Do you have another plan?” “Why do you ask?” “Because you just said that you can only have an hour." "And? You don't have to know everything. "I gave him a cheeky grin." Do you have a suitor? "He played overly jealous and I went on snootily." Who knows ... No, seriously, I'm not meeting up with a friend in chat. She was on vacation for two weeks and came back today. "" Ochso ... "

We looked for a nice café, sat on the terrace and ordered cappuccino. Time flew by while we chatted and fooled a little. My watch told me it was time to go. "So ... I have to go." Ryou called a waiter to us, who issued us a bill. Once again we argue over who paid. And once again, as so often, Ryou won. "Thanks, but you really didn't have to." "No problem. You can cook something delicious for me someday." Grinning, he winked at me. "Well, please, I knew you had an ulterior motive ..." He shrugged his shoulders innocently. "How can I help you cook so well?"I sighed briefly." Well, it's a deal. You can come to me tomorrow after the tournament and I'll make us a great dinner. "He nodded happily. He always managed to persuade me, but he would never dare to take advantage of it." Good, so a fight dinner after our unique victory! "I got up from my chair, laughing." You must be very confident of victory, aren't you? "" Sure, why did we train so hard otherwise? "A smile crossed my lips and he got up too." Shouldn't I accompany you for a while? "" Gladly, if you want. "

We said goodbye at my doorstep. "Good, see you tomorrow." "Yes, see you then. And sleep well!" "You too." The door closed behind me. I took off my shoes and headed straight for the bathroom. There I showered extensively, dried my hair and then made myself a few more sandwiches in the kitchen. Armed with the food, I switched on my computer and went online. The person in question was already waiting in the agreed chat.Hours passed while we talked. When it was already night, we decided to postpone the conversation until another time. After I switched off the computer again, I made myself some more tea[... * gggg * ...]and finally went to sleep. At least I tried ...

I got up early the next morning. I was too excited to sleep any longer. And I knew full well that if I got upset in any way, it wasn't good. So after a cold shower and a hearty breakfast, I went back online to get some distraction. So now I was sitting in the net and totally forgot the time ... And after looking at my alarm clock I jumped up from my chair in a flash, changed my clothes, packed a few things, jumped on my bike ... and forgot of course, to completely disconnect and shut down the computer.

I cycled to the ice arena as fast as I could.I got some strange looks because of the short, light blue and white dress for the tournament, but I didn't care. I just parked my bike in front of the entrance and walked through the building to my trainer's room. It was empty. I ran frantically to the entrance to the ice rink and found it among the participants. "Hikari, oh thank God. We're already on it!" I snorted briefly and looked around at Ryou. “Where's Ryou?” Ms. Sashimoto (the trainer) pushed me onto the ice. “He had an accident on the way here. His ankle is sprained.” I resisted her pressure. "Yes, but, what should I do now ?! Is he okay?" "Yeah, don't worry, he'll be fine." "But what about the tournament now?" "We found a replacement a second ago." She pushed me a little further. "Yes, but who?" "He said he knows you and you have run a freestyle together before." 'But apart from Ryou, I still had no partner ...'

I was already on the ice and the audience started to clap. The spokesman apologized for the delay and stated that a replacement runner had been found. Since I had already been announced, I ran to the middle of the area and crouched in my starting position. My head was lowered so that I had to look at the ice. The renewed applause from the audience told me that the replacement had just stepped onto the ice. The hissing sound of his skates came closer and closer. The species looked familiar to me. He put his arm around me and put me in a different starting position. This also looked familiar to me. I tried hard to recognize the stranger, but I could only see the sleeve of his white shirt, which was actually meant for Ryou.

The music started and the stranger guided me. It wasn't the freestyle that was intended for the tournament, and yet I knew it. To my surprise, we ran the run without any problems. At one point the substitute pulled me closer and led me a bit. 'That scent ... I know it from somewhere ...' Just before the end of the run, he turned me around, and when that was done we went to our final position. The hall cheered and we bowed. When we ran back to Ms. Satoshi, I looked to the side and looked at the stranger. I stopped breathing for a moment. I looked at him spellbound and forgot everything around me. Only the cheers and the trainer's hug brought me back to life. "Oh Hika, you did it! You have the best results! I'm so proud!" I broke away from the embrace in amazement. I didn't dare look to the side again. 'That must be a dream, a dream! '"Tell me boy what is your name actually?" "My name is ..."

When I heard his voice, I threw my head to one side and looked into his clear blue eyes as he brushed the purple hair back from his face.I just looked at him for seconds until I fell around his neck. “Oh my god, Trunks!” I buried my face in his shirt. "Tell me this is not a dream, tell me that this is true!" He put an arm around me. “This is not a dream, Hikari, it is really happening.” How long had I hoped to meet again, dreamed of it. How many times have I fallen into despair when I longed for this warmth. It had been two years now ... two years that I had missed her. A soft clap could be heard behind me. I turned and saw Ryou hobbling towards us. "So Trunks. The good friend who came up with the run with you." I walked away from Trunks again. “You were great, my congratulations!” He smiled, but it was a sad smile. How he would have loved to have won the tournament with me and hugged me.

After recovering myself, I jumped up to Ryou and hugged him. "We did it, we won!" "You won. You and ... Trunks, right? "'Strange name ...' Trunks nodded. I gently shook my head." No, we. You were the one who helped me and put up
