Chapter: Unknown threat part 1
So here is my first FF. Please don't be too strict with me * shiver *, but be honest and criticize, so that I know what I can do better. It will be a slightly longer FF, the part isn't too exciting either. But now I don't want to hold you back any longer!
So, let's go:
Everything was dark and shrouded in a cold, gray mist. He was afraid, he had been afraid of the dark since he was a child. Something seemed to be following him and he ran around aimlessly. Suddenly a figure was standing in front of him, from which a soft, gentle light emanated that seemed to displace the darkness, but not the fog, and because of the fog he could only make out vaguely. There was a calming power emanating from her and it seemed to him as if all fear would fall away from him. "Fear not," the figure whispered in a soft, soothing voice. But then the figure slowly began to move away. "No, don't go away, wait for me," he shouted, again filled with fear, and ran after her.Now he heard the wild panting of his pursuer again and panic fear filled him. He tried to run faster to catch up with the figure, but he couldn't, no matter how fast he ran. Slowly but surely the soft light disappeared and with it the figure. He ran even faster until he thought his lungs were about to burst, but it didn't help, soon the light and the figure were gone. He screamed in panic: "NO !!!" and looked around wildly, but could not see anything. Desperate, he ran on, but he heard his pursuer getting closer and closer. And closer. The panting and snorting grew louder and louder and it wasn't long before the pursuer had reached him. He was very scared and started to sob. Suddenly a huge abyss opened up in front of him. He was terrified and tried to stop. With some effort, he was unable to slide into it. He looked down and saw nothing but an endless yawning void and immediately felt dizzy from a fear of heights. He panicked about what to do now, he couldn't get to the other side, it was too far away. Suddenly he heard the gasping behind him, alarmingly loud and when he looked around he saw his pursuer ready to jump. Without thinking he jumped; into this endless, dark emptiness and fell and fell and fell ...
Trunks woke up panting and drenched in sweat, for a fraction of a second he saw the abyss and the figure of his pursuer who jumped after him. Another nightmare. Exhausted, he got up; after one of these dreams he could never fall asleep. Since his mother had to be taken to the hospital because of an indefinable and unknown illness, such dreams have tormented him. It all started relatively harmlessly, and no one had the slightest idea. The first symptoms, which no one associated with an illness, were high sensitivity to sunlight and the slightest noise.Later there was insomnia and restlessness, and, as she described it, the urge to bump your head against the wall. But nobody knew anything about it. Then, a week ago, a pot of bean soup that she had made for the family for lunch suddenly just fell out of her hand. Her left arm hung limply and numb and she was unable to move it. Several days earlier she had dropped a plate or a vase for the same reason, but was always able to hide it. But in this accident it was clearly visible that something was wrong with Bulma. Bulma had looked at first at the pool of bean stew, then at her arm and then at Vegeta, and started crying violently. Trunks had sensed the concern and fear in his father, but he kept his face under control. He had gently taken Bulma in his strong arms and said quietly to Trunks that he would fly to the hospital with Bulma now, but that he needn't worry.Trunks just nodded silently and started wiping away the mess on the floor. Vegeta didn't come home until hours later, her eyes cold and closed. Trunks had been sitting in the hallway waiting for him the whole time and when he heard his father coming, he jumped up in fearful anticipation. But Vegeta didn't look at him, not even when Trunks called him, and went straight into the gravity room. Trunks wanted to follow him, but something stopped him. Instead, he waited for Mrs. Briefs, who had also been in the hospital. She told him, tired and sad, that Bulma was doing very badly and the doctors could not find out what Bulma actually had. Shocked and dismayed, he fled to his room sobbing. It all happened a week ago. These dreams have haunted him ever since. He tiredly pulled on a pair of jeans and walked out of his room towards the kitchen.
He didn't hope to meet his father, he couldn't bear to see him like the last few days. Since that happened to Bulma, he exercised like a man possessed and slept and hardly ate. His face was sunken, his eyes were deeply shaded and puffy, and he no longer had a friendly word for anyone. If Bulma died, Trunks knew Vegeta's good side would die too. He sat listlessly at the kitchen table and put his head in both hands. Maybe afterwards he would go to Goten to train a bit. That would distract him a little. Before that, however, he would go to the hospital and see his mother, hoping for better news.
"MUTENROSHI !! WHERE ARE YOU ??" shouted Gohan through the old man's house. No Answer. He went out and searched the island. He found him sleeping in the shade of the trees in his hammock, a porno booklet on his stomach. Gohan had to smile when he saw that and gently tapped Mutenroshi on the shoulder. He started and fell off his mat. "Gohan, do you have to scare me like that? Now look what you've done, my notebook is all crumpled!" Angrily, he glared at Gohan and smoothed the little booklet on which he had fallen. Gohan laughed and looked at Mutenroshi in amusement. "Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you, I just wanted to ask if my father came over here."
"He hasn't shown up for ages, but he had promised me one of the tight belly dancers. Remind him when you get the chance."
"So he really wasn't here? I don't really know where to look for him, I've already asked Piccolo, Dende and Kuririn. We actually wanted to train, but he is nowhere to be found."
"Hm ... I don't know either. But if he shows up, which I seriously doubt, I'll let you know, okay?"
"All right, thank you Mutenroshi."
Sullen and disappointed, Gohan took off again. He had been looking forward to training together so much. It did not suit Son Goku to miss his training and certainly not to simply disappear without a trace without an announcement or hint.
He thought about where he could look, then it occurred to him that he hadn't even asked Master Quince. Filled with new hope, he took the direction of the quince tower and soon the long stake he was so familiar with, with the quince tower at the top, came into view. He flew up and when he had reached the top and landed in the tower, his first glance fell on Yajirobi, who sat sad and sad at the edge.
