Bardock thinks about what he might have done wrong, but can't think of anything. Then he goes home too. Cauli has already reached her 'house'. She is queasy. What if he recognized her? Would he be even angrier then? Would he kill her then too? There are a lot of questions buzzing around in her head. Could she steal anything there at all now? Or do you forbid your conscience? Does she like Bardock too much for that? But she had only met him earlier, she can't like him that much! Yes, it's no use, she likes him, she even likes him very much, but she doesn't want to admit that she might even love him! But why does he of all people have to be this baker's son? Why does she have to think he's great? Everything is so unfair, why did this have to happen to her, why to you and to no one else? She wants to cry, just cry, but with whom?
