Akiko said, embarrassed: "Actually, I'm really happy that you are here, now at least I have someone to talk to me, you know life is sometimes pretty lonely!"


They ate and then went to school.


"Do you really want to come to school? It's really slow."


Kari looked at her, then smiled and said, "Oh, I'm used to school being boring. My class is ready to go to sleep."


They both laughed and went into the classroom gossiping. You were right, the first two hours were dreary and boring. After that, they had exercise and went to the gym. The teacher made them pant through the gym, then they played fire ball. During the break there was an announcement: "To all students, lessons are over immediately, because the headmistress has to go home quickly because her house was broken into. I ask you all to leave the school premises as quickly as possible. Thank you"

The whole gym burst out with cheers, "Yeah, we can go home."


"Yippi, no school."


Kari smiled at Akiko, but she was puzzled because Akiko was lost in thought. Kari asked, "Hey, Akiko, are you dreaming?"


Akiko looked at her confused: "Huh, what did you say?"


Kari looked at her new friend in amazement.


Akiko looked back confused and asked again: "What is it, what did you say?"


Kari just said, "Oh, not that important."


They changed and went home, nobody spoke a word until Kari broke the silence and said: "What is it, why are you so calm? Is what, do you want to tell me something?"


"No, everything is fine," said Akiko, but still looked embarrassed and dreamy.


Kari shook her head, but continued walking beside her without a word. Back home, Akiko still didn't speak much, Kari was starting to worry about her. Fortunately, during the day she became more talkative again.

They talked about all sorts of things until it was bedtime. Kari, who slept on a mattress next to Akiko, went to bed earlier and was already half asleep by the time Akiko got into bed. Kari said: "Good night, Akiko". Akiko replied: "Good night", then she too fell asleep.




In the middle of the night Kari woke up because she had heard a strange noise. She looked around in amazement, then saw that Akiko had got up and was looking out the window. Kari thought nothing of it and wanted to go back to sleep.


But a few hours later she was woken up again. This time she switched on the light and saw that Akiko was just coming in through the balcony door. Kari wondered and asked: "Hey, Akiko, where have you been? What were you doing outside on the balcony?"


Akiko smiled and replied: "Where should I have been, I was only briefly on the balcony."


Kari didn't ask any more, because she had looked at the clock and saw that it was only four o'clock.Akiko got back into bed and fell asleep very quickly.




The next morning, Kari was the first to wake up and checked the alarm clock.


It was just before seven. Kari mumbled, "He'll ring in a moment."


A few minutes later, Kari was almost asleep again, when the alarm clock rang. Kari got up and looked over at Akiko. When she saw that she was still asleep, she walked over to her and gently shook her awake. Akiko blinked into the light and mumbled, "Is it time to get up already?"


Kari nodded and said: "Good morning Akiko."


"Good morning," replies Akiko.


Kari disappeared and changed, Akiko changed too and then went into the kitchen, where Kari was already waiting for her.


She had already set the table and Akiko sat down next to her. They had breakfast together. Until Kari asked: "Why did you get up in the middle of the night yesterday and go to the balcony?"


Confused, Akiko looked into Kari's eyes and asked: "Why did you get up?I did not get up! "


Kari looked at her blankly and asked carefully: "Do you sleepwalk?"


"Not that I know of," Akiko replied.


Now Kari was completely puzzled because she had clearly seen Akiko. But maybe she's hallucinating too, or she just dreamed it all.




Now Kari was absorbed in her thoughts on the way to school and Akiko wondered, then asked: "Hello, Kari, are you there?"


Kari said, upset from her thoughts: "Huh, what is it?"


"You dream baby!"


Kari smiled, while Akiko grinned.




The day passed quickly and the two girls were already on their way home.


After school they thought about taking a stroll through town.


A few minutes later, I went to town. They walked past several shops and admired the goods.


"Oh, that's nice," Kari said about a dress that was hanging in the shop window.She had already forgotten about the nightly incident.


Akiko replied, "You're right, let's try it on."


Kari and Akiko went into the store and tried on several items of clothing. In the end, Kari opted for a summer dress and Akiko opted for a new t-shirt.


Laughing, they left the shop where they had been for more than an hour.


Akiko asked: "And, would you like to have another ice cream with me?"


Kari agreed and said: "I just saw an ice cream parlor over there," she pointed to the right with her finger.


They sat down in the ice cream parlor and both ate an ice cream sundae.


"Phew, now I'm full!" said Akiko.


Kari added: "Mh".


They quickly paid for the ice cream and slowly strolled home.


On the way they noticed a hustle and bustle in front of one of the shops, the one in which they had just bought the clothes.They looked up what had happened and caught the last words of a policeman who was talking to the shopkeeper: "Well, I'll summarize again, the thief only stole the money from the cash register, nothing else?"


"Exactly," said the excited shopkeeper.


Kari whispered in Akiko's ear: "Oh, a shoplifting, will you catch the thief quickly?"


But Akiko looked lost in her thoughts again and looked a bit bitter, Kari had the impression that her friend had not understood her. She was surprised, because Akiko did something like that after the gym announcement.


And already it was night again!


And Akiko and Kari went to sleep. They wished each other a "good night" before they fell asleep.


Kari woke up during the night and went into the kitchen to get something to drink because she was thirsty. She poured herself mineral water and staggered very slowly back to her sleeping place. She glanced at Akiko but couldn't see her.At first she was a little surprised, but then went to bed. After 5 minutes she got worried and got up again. "Akiko", Kari called softly through the small apartment. Silence, no answer. Kari wondered feverishly where Akiko could be. Suddenly it was like scales from her eyes, she ran to the balcony and what she saw there was speechless.
