Chapter: Coma Part 1 (Continuation of Bounty)
Coma Part 1 by SSJTrunksFan
There were (admittedly, few) voices calling for a sequel to 'Bounty'. I heard you. Oh, that makes me happy! So don't complain to me, but to the people who said it should go on.
So this is the story of Kyoko and Trunks after Katra died. In order to understand them, you must logically have read 'Bounty'. I can't think of anything to say here, but my mind is buzzing with thoughts for the story. So let's start now.
Tired, she was so tired. Exhausted and emaciated, she wandered. But wherever she went, she saw the same terrible picture everywhere: devastated cities, scorched earth, poisoned oceans. Whatever had caused this, it had done a thorough job. Ironically, she forced herself to go on. There must still be life on this planet, she kept telling herself. There must still be life! But she found no life. It seemed like she was the only person on earth. And she, too, should probably be killed. The sky was darkened by thick, black-gray clouds. It was raining incessantly, making the ground soaking wet and making it harder for her to walk. For hours she waded through gray-brown silt. Her sneakers sank deep into the mud with every step and came off with a loud smacking sound. Her thighs, which were not used to such forced marches, ached from the strain. Her lungs, too, greedily sucked in the poisonous air. Nevertheless, she continued to torture herself, always on the lookout. Lightning flashed above her. She walked bent over as much as possible. The lightning flashed more and more violently, angry at the flight of their prey. But the rain also intensified. Another city rose before her. But as she got closer, her hopes were dashed again. This city too had been razed to the ground.Smoke was still rising from some ruins. The corpses of people who must have died in a terrible agony were still lying on the streets. She shuddered when she saw the horror on the faces of the beings who had died in the moment of their greatest fear. With a trembling hand she wiped the wet strands of hair from her face. Silently she watched the rage of nature, which defended itself against the enforced rule, driven by ... Yes, driven by what? She knew nature, had studied it for a long time. She had never experienced this rearing up, it did not fit into the image she had of nature. What only, she wondered bitterly, had triggered this terrible violence.
Suddenly the ground began to tremble. Another earthquake. As if there was still something to destroy. Yes, there was something else. There was still ... she! The ground opened beneath her. She desperately tried to hold on to something, but it was too late.Huge masses of earth drew her into the interior of the world she had happily inhabited for so long. She opened her mouth in one last desperate death cry:
"NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEIN!"
Bathed in sweat, Kyoko woke up from sleep. She was trembling all over. Her green eyes were wide and stared straight ahead without really seeing anything. Her hand touched her heart that pounded so hard that it threatened to shatter.
"REST DOWN! I WANT TO SLEEP!", Vegeta rumbled from the floor above her.
There was a brief rustling movement next to Kyoko.
"What's going on?" Trunks mumbled drowsy, unable to hide the concerned undertone in his voice.
"Nothing, nothing," said Kyoko hastily. Still trembling with fear, she sank back into the warm pillows of her bed. When she felt the strong arm hugging her, she forgot her fears. A few moments later Kyoko was sleeping peacefully again, protected by the warmth and security of the one she loved, while Trunks watched over his wife's sleep.
The next morning, Kyoko couldn't remember the dream that woke her up the night before. Trunks, on the other hand, didn't forget the frightened, desperate look in her eyes when she woke up.
Sleepily, Kyoko staggered through the kitchen entrance and collapsed onto a chair at the table. She rubbed her eyes with one hand and reached out for the milk bottle with the other. It did not reach them. "Then different ...", Kyoko mumbled and the bottle floated in her direction. She sat up in front of the young woman. Then a cupboard opened, from which a cup immediately flew.
A large brown hand caught the glass in mid-flight.
"22 years old and you still can't get up yourself," said Trunks, amused, and grinned mischievously at Kyoko. He gave her the glass and a long, deep kiss. She started laughing. Her eyes flashed as Trunks slowly lifted himself into the air and made a strange grimace.
"Let go of me," he pressed out, tormented. Kyoko laughed out loud, then Trunks sank back to the floor. "You want to provoke me, my dear?"
"I would NEVER dare."
"Good," said Trunks, smiling one last time at his wife, who was sitting at the kitchen table in her nightgown and drinking milk, then he opened the front door and flew to work.
Bulma wanted him to help her at the Capsule Corporation with his knowledge of computer science and physics, but Trunks had chosen to make his own living. He was now working as a programmer for a well-known computer company. Some important programs for household robots went to his account (he got the ideas for this from ChiChi, who could never complain enough about all her household chores.). Despite these attempts to become independent, Trunks and Kyoko had accepted the offer to continue living with Bulma and Vegeta. The two of them didn't feel like having to furnish a house themselves.
Although Kyoko had studied oceanology (marine biology), she had never worked as a biologist. Shortly after completing their studies, they married Trunks. And after that, she didn't have time to work, and actually didn't need to. Instead, she had trained and had come a long way in telekinesis and telephathy.
With his eyes still half closed, Kyoko went into the bathroom. Then she put on her favorite jeans and a white top and went to her room. She actually shared a room with Trunks, but Bulma had set up another room for her in which herbs, Kyoko's book and everything else were kept. Kyoko sank down on the floor and sat cross-legged. She closed her eyes. After a short while she felt her breathing become more even and her thoughts focused. There was a soft, pleasant sound in the air as Kyoko, still seated, was lifted into the air.Relaxed, she explored the other fascinating dimensions that she could achieve through trance.
About seven hours later, Trunks ended up sour-faced in the back yard of the Capsule Corporation. Always this in front of the computer sitting, he grumbled in his mind. At some point I'll bend my back completely. Then he stopped. Kyoko! Where was her aura? He didn't feel anything. But Kyoko wouldn't quench her aura unless something important forced her to do so. So what had happened? Trunks stormed into the building full of foreboding. As he stormed through the kitchen, he met Bulma.
"Mom, do you know where Kyoko is?" He exclaimed excitedly.
"I think she's still in her quiet little room. She went in this morning and has not come out since," replied Bulma, surprised at her son's startled tone.
Trunks immediately ran on. `Your little room`! Trunks had always known that because of this, Kyoko would lose control of the forces that invoked her.But she was so stubborn. You could never talk her out of anything! He cursed himself for not being able to refuse this woman. Finally, after what seemed like several hours, Trunks stopped in front of the large wooden door of Kyoko's room. He wanted to open it, but a strong electrical charge was transferred to him.
She cursed the door, Trunks shot through like lightning. Why on earth did she curse the damn door? He noticed several strange characters carved into the frame. So she wanted a wooden door, Trunks thought grimly. Angry and desperate, he threw himself against the door again. This time he was hit again, but he persevered and was able to open the door with endless effort and severe pain.
What he saw in the room made his breath catch. Kyoko lay in front of him. But that wasn't what frightened him so much. Trunks had often seen Kyoko wake up completely emaciated from the trance and then pass out.It was the look on her face that made Trunks' blood run cold. Her eyes were wide open, frozen in a silent cry for help. Infinite horror had spread across the young woman's face. Tears ran down Trunks' cheeks as he bent down to Kyoko. But then he noticed something and that gave him new hope. Kyoko was breathing! Her eyes seemed to see a world far away, but she seemed to live in that dimension nonetheless. Trunks picked it up carefully. Her body was completely immobile. It was scary to carry someone who had their eyes open and still seemed passed out. In no time at all he took her to the room they shared, where he put her to bed. An impulse told him to take her to the hospital and get her a magic bean, but knew it wouldn't work. Kyoko had to survive this trance without help. There was nothing he could do but stay with her and hold her hand and hope that, far away, wherever she was, she would remember his voice. With a trembling hand, he closed Kyoko's eyes. He couldn't stand the look on her face. It's all in God's hands now, Trunks thought. Then it occurred to him that Dende was God and that he was much weaker than Kyoko. He shook his head angrily. How would he like to do something! He put his head in his hands helplessly and propped himself up on the bed.
"Come back, come back ..."
Confused, Kyoko looked around. She stood on a wide plain. She was perfectly sure she had never been there before, but in a peculiar way the scenario that presented itself struck her as familiar. Then it occurred to her: The dream! She was on the completely destroyed
