Fanfic: Im Zeichen des Mondes (Teil 5)
Chapter: Under the sign of the moon (part 5)
Konichiwa! It's me again.
First of all, I would like to thank you for your comments.
@ Serran: This is now embarrassing! * turn red * you are right. Son Goku would certainly not have stood by and said: Do it! And that with the energy and light is also correct ... And I thought I was thinking well * banging my head against a tree trunk *. Okay, that means there are two pretty serious errors in it .... Sorry! (P.S. about the smarter or not you can really argue, but well * g *)
@ BestVegeta: Small note: Hien is a she! (At first she wanted to call herself Hiei (fire), but then Comp hung himself, etc. it doesn't matter) But nothing. As for Vegeta-sei and the Saiyajins ... let yourself be surprised smile (P. S. I prefer to write longer parts, looks better, sorry)
Sorry that I didn't write for so long, but I had an internship that week and no time ... well ...
Part 5 off!
Part 5: The thirst for vengeance
They flew over the planet. It was very flat, if you ignored the occasional rock walls protruding from the ground. These were very rare, but when they were there, they stuck out well 10km into the air.
The just four-year-old Saiyajin prince's gaze wandered searchingly over the grassy plain below. This city had to be here somewhere. Three Saiyajins followed him. As I said, followed him. This conquest was something very special for Vegeta, as it was his first mission in which he was in command. Bardock had advised the king not to give him command because he was still too young. The king, however, had declined and said that Vegeta was more than capable of it. And he was too! He wasn't going to screw up this mission!
They approached one of these rare mountains. But this was not very high. 100m maybe. But at the foot of this 'mountain' Vegeta was finally able to discover the city he was looking for.Well, 'city' was way over the top. It was maybe a collection of about 100 straw huts. Vegeta snorted contemptuously. And that, according to Scouter, was the largest accumulation of energy on the whole planet! The prince did not understand why the king sent four Saiyajins to conquer this cow farm. In his opinion, this was more than an exaggeration.
And yet Vegeta's blood began to boil. He was looking forward to the fight, even if it would go quickly.
The Saiyajins were about to land, Vegeta ahead. The strange, ocher-colored creatures huddled together and whispered excitedly to one another, looking in their direction again and again. Vegeta twisted his lips in a cold grin. With a finger-gesture he ordered a Saiyajin to come to the flanks of the village, one with him. He walked purposefully towards the center of the village, where most of the beings were.
The slaughter that followed was almost disappointingly fast. After killing all the victims standing outside, they stormed the huts and also killed those who had not gone outside to see where the noise had come from. Vegeta looked around. All dead, nobody lived anymore. Well, then they could fly to Vegeta-sei again, if they had saved this village last. One last check ... But it never came back.
The Saiyajins that Vegeta had ordered to the sides of the village, Raditz and Nappa, were about to return to their prince when suddenly a rather large ball of energy was shot from the rock face. Above, at the abyss, they could see around 100 beings who had bundled all their energies. They must have fled when their villages were attacked, or they weren't there at the time. Nappa hadn't even known that the inhabitants of this planet could do that at all, hadn't yet shown any sign of this ability.
The energy ball raced towards the center of the village, where it detonated with a large cloud of dust. Moment! That was exactly where the prince was! Raditz and Nappa looked at each other, then ran off. The king would skin her alive if the prince were dead.
When they reached the center of the inferno of flames left by the explosion, they looked around. Where was Vegeta?
"Nappa! There!" Raditz pointed to a large figure on the ground. It was Rel, the warrior who stayed with Vegeta. He was dead. "Prince! Prince, where are you?" Shouted Nappa. The two looked around but could not see him. Raditz was about to start looking in the huts when Nappa stopped him. “Raditz, wait! Look!” Nappa points to one of the walls of flames. Something was moving inside her. A living being!
It was beginning to take shape. It was a small, upright figure. It was human outlines.
Hair standing up, armor.Proud posture, a look like ice ... Vegeta, the prince of the Saiyans, left the flames. His armor had been damaged, but he himself was uninjured, except for a small wound on the hairline from which a fine trickle of blood oozed. His face was calm, normally sharp and focused.
Then he started smiling. A cruel, ice-cold smile ... a satisfied smile ...

The space capsule entered the atmosphere of Vegeta-sei. The first conquest after the summoning of all Saiyajins was successful.
Trunks and the others waited eagerly in the throne room. Bardock had informed them that the five capsules had just arrived. That means his father was there too. Trunks would have been surprised if it had been different. There was hardly anyone who could compete with his father. Still, he'd been a little worried earlier when the alarm bells went off. Well ...
The doors of the hall opened and let in the five Saiyajins. Trunks was startled. He heard Bulma clapping her hand over her mouth next to him and Krelin sucking in a sharp breath.
His father was covered in blood over and over. At the very first moment Trunks thought it was Vegeta's blood, but he noticed when he looked a second time that it wasn't. The blood sticking to his father was too dark to be his own. It was the blood of his opponents. The young man was dismayed. What on earth had his father done?
"Vegeta, we got some strange signals ... what happened?" Asked the king in the language of the earth. Trunks had no idea why the king wanted them to understand this conversation.
"Just a minor complication, not worth mentioning ..." Vegeta replied calmly. The king raised his eyebrows. "Then it's good ..." Vegeta didn't reply and turned to leave the room. His father didn't stop him.
Vegeta pulled on his new armor. He had taken a long shower to get all the blood off his body. It was already dark, but Vegeta wanted to go outside. It was a full moon over Vegeta-sei, a rarity that only happened every nine years on Vegeta-sei (it was nine, wasn't it?). Vegeta went to the balcony of the throne room, from which he could look down on the landscape of his home planet. Now there was no Saiyan outside of his four walls. They would turn into Oozarus and destroy everything. Vegeta didn't have to worry about that. He no longer had a tail. And even if he had, his self-control was so great that he wouldn't change if he didn't want to.
The prince looked at the moon. As he did so, his mind wandered around. Back to today.
Vegeta clenched his hand into a fist. He was angry. He was angry with himself that he hadn't felt the same way today as he used to and at the same time he was angry that he wanted to feel the way he did before. It was blown away!
The image of the divided warrior came back to Vegeta and he shuddered inwardly. Damn it! Why did that bother him so? Vegeta growled and slapped his fist on the balcony railing.
"Are you all right, father?" Vegeta spun around. Trunks stood behind him. His thoughts were so deep that he hadn't even noticed him.
"What do you want?" Vegeta grumbled at his son. "I just couldn't sleep and that's when I saw you here ... It's so quiet tonight, so unfamiliar ..." Trunks stood next to his father. "No Saiyan is outside now! It's full moon.", Vegeta stated dryly. "Yes ... but somehow ... it feels different here ... somehow I feel so ... restless and tingly ..." "That's normal. Here on Vegeta-sei the beta radiation is (I don't know how to write that) much higher when there is a full moon than on earth. ", Vegeta explained. Trunks just nodded. Then he took a deep breath and continued."The others are pretty horrified and Goku is downright angry ..." Vegeta said nothing. “Are you really well?” “Yes, why not!” Vegeta was slowly getting angry. Trunks seemed to notice that too, knowing his father's temperament. "I only mean about the blood ... what ... what were you doing there?" Trunks asked haltingly. Vegeta looked at him sharply. "That's none of your business! And whether Kakarott is angry or not doesn't interest me in the least!" He rumbled. The younger man's face twitched, but he said nothing, but looked at the land, which was bathed in the fine silver of the full moon. "A beautiful planet ... reminds me a little of Earth ..." Trunks remarked. Vegeta gave him a sideways look. "Do you remember telling me in the Space of Spirit and Time that the Saiyans are your people and that you would have done anything to keep your kingdom?" Trunks continued. "You said you would be one of them and that that was all that is important to you ... Just what do you find here?I have seen and heard how the Saiyajins worship you, but for my taste the price you have to pay is too high ... You are not a prince on earth, but you have something completely different for it .... The Earth is threatened by Cell, the Saiyajins demand their prince .... What do you think is worth more to you to protect? "Trunks looked his father in the eye and then left without another word. Vegeta stayed behind. He let Trunks' words go through his mind again." Hollow chatter! ", he hissed. But in truth, he had long since made up
