Chapter: Piccolo vs. Cell? (Part 3)
Hello you! I've already read a good comment and thought to myself that I would send the next part straight away. Enjoy:
part 3
After bringing the news of Goku's birthday to Dende, I decided to use the rest of the time to explore the palace. I had Popo show me everything, who made a good tour guide. After I roughly knew where Was was, we ended the sightseeing tour and I felt an urgent need to get some fresh air.
(The real reason I wanted to go outside was of course Piccolo). Once on the platform, I couldn't see him anywhere. "He'll probably train somewhere!" I thought and realized that I was a little disappointed about that. "I have to stop worrying, after all, I've only known Piccolo for a day!" My mind kicked in, but still couldn't keep my heart from disagreeing.I strolled to the edge of the platform and sat down with my legs dangling. The sun was setting on the horizon. It was a wonderful romantic moment. "Sucks when you have to look at something like that alone!" It passed through me and I got up from the floor to go back to the palace. I spent the rest of the evening with Dende and Popo and had a great chat with them. Later I went to my room and got ready for bed. I lay down on the mattress and folded my arms behind my head. "I'm really looking forward to tomorrow!" I thought and felt the anticipation rise in me. For a while I pondered my thoughts (most of them had the name Piccolo) until I finally fell asleep gently.
"Hello! Joanna? We want to leave immediately!" I heard Dende calling at the door. "Good! I'm hurrying!" was my answer and pushed the covers aside. Then I happily jumped into the shower and would have liked to start singing out loud, but since I knew that Namekians had good ears, I preferred to let it be.When I was done in the bathroom, I went to my pile of clothes, which had grown considerably again. "Where Popo gets all these things from?" I asked quietly as I considered what to wear for the party. My choice was a sky blue summer dress. After putting it on, I turned in a circle and let the dress fly with me. "Let's go!" I thought happily and made my way outside. Everyone was waiting for me on the platform. Piccolo looked at me briefly and then turned away from me again. I paused and immediately slowed down a little. "There you are!" said Dende with a smile on his face. "Can we finally start now ?!" Piccolo growled angrily and walked towards the edge of the platform. I had to swallow. "What went into that?" I asked myself amazed. Dende looked at the big Namek in surprise, but he didn't look at us and suddenly took off. "Piccolo ... Joanna can't fly ..." Dende called after him.
"This is not my problem, it's yours!" the addressed hissed back angrily and stood for a moment, floating in the air. After these words Dende looked really unhappy and looked at me questioningly, but I was rooted to the ground and couldn't believe what Piccolo had just said. What was the matter with him? Had he forgotten all about yesterday? My mind was jumbled and I got no answer. "If you don't come now Dende, then I'll fly off alone!" exclaimed Piccolo. The little god was in a bind and looked at me sadly. "Actually, I was hoping that he would carry you ... but it looks like he has no intention of doing so. If I were to carry you, the way will take far too long and we would only arrive at the end of the party!" he said, quite bent. "I'm waiting for you at Goku!" we heard Piccolo call, who immediately took off and disappeared a little later on the horizon."I'm really sorry for you!" said Dende, standing next to me with drooping head. "Is ... it's okay. Then I'll stay here!" I pressed out between my lips and tried to smile at him encouragingly (which I thoroughly failed). Popo, who had been standing by in silence the whole time, now came up to us. "I have an idea! I can throw Joanna over there with the carpet!" he said and smiled. "Popo, that's the solution!" Dende said, relieved. The little black man immediately went to the palace to get the good piece. "Don't take the Piccolo thing to heart! He sure doesn't mean it that way ...! I'll see you on your birthday!" said Dende and stepped to the edge of the platform, there he turned back to me and looked at me sympathetically. Then he dashed off too. I stood alone on the platform and wanted to cry, Piccolo's words had hurt me so much. For a moment I wondered if I wanted to go to the party at all ... Popo grabbed my shoulder from behind."Please don't be sad. If you meet the others right away, then you will hopefully forget your pain!" he said softly and began to unroll the carpet. I looked at him in astonishment and was surprised at how well he knew about my emotional life. After Popo finished with the preparations, I sat down next to him on the fluffy fabric. "You have to hold on!" he said and took off at breathtaking speed. I clutched the fringe of the carpet and hoped the flight would be over quickly. And really, it wasn't a minute before I could see Son Goku's house in front of us. Popo landed the carpet softly, a few meters away, in a meadow. "Hello Joanna!" I heard Gohan calling from behind me. I turned around and saw him coming towards me. "How nice that you came after all! When you didn't come here with Piccolo and Dende, I thought you wouldn't come any more." he talked like a waterfall and looked happily in the face.
When he saw my tortured grin, the smile disappeared from his face. "If I interpret your gaze correctly, the stubborn old man didn't want to take you with him! Am I right ?!" he saw through the situation and put his arm around my shoulder. "Come on, I'll introduce you to the others! ... Popo, please come with me too. Papa would be very happy to see you!" he said, looking over at the little black man. "If you think so!" he agreed and smiled happily. Finally the three of us walked (Gohan still had his arm around me) around the house. The party was apparently already going on in front, because loud music was ringing towards us. When we turned the corner and reached the fairground, I felt a huge lump sticking in my throat. Everyone was already there, ... even Vegeta was sitting there ... and there on the wall in front was Piccolo! He kept his eyes closed and had separated himself from the others. The rest of the guests sat at a long wooden table and ate or talked. But when we stepped into the group, all conversations fell silent and curious glances were directed at me. Gohan pushed me further forward. "Hey guys! This is Joanna. She lives with Dende in the palace for a while and is really happy to meet you all!" he blurted out and everyone (with two exceptions) started laughing. The guests continued talking in a good mood and I first went to Son-Goku and congratulated him warmly. Then I sat down at the table with the others and had a chat with the person sitting next to me, Videl. A short time later, Chi Chi came out of the house and carried a huge cake. She carefully set it down on the table and looked at her husband. "This is your birthday cake!" she gasped, still out of breath. "Hey Chi Chi, you forgot to light the candles!" Krillin shouted loudly and pointed to the birthday candles stuck in the cake. "They're no longer lit either! Whenever Son-Goku wants to blow out the candles, he blows the whole cake on the floor!" Chi Chi replied and looked at her husband with a mock evil look."Well, you know, blowing out candles is not as easy as it is always said!" he justified himself and scratched the back of his head in embarrassment. Big laughter rang out and even Vegeta couldn't help but smile. Chi Chi cut the cake and soon everyone had a piece of cake on their plate. After everything was completely plastered (most of the Sayajins had eaten), Son Goku's wife went to the stereo and turned the music up. "So my dear. Now you have to believe in it!" she grinned at her husband and pulled him onto the dance floor. Little by little, more and more guests came and danced with them. I felt a little lost in my seat and decided to take a little walk to think about something. Fortunately everyone was busy with something so that I could sneak away unnoticed. I wandered across many meadows and fields. Actually, I would have liked to have celebrated carefree, but I just couldn't be happy.
"Piccolo!" I thought sad and disappointed at the same time as I wiped a tear from my cheek. My way led me on to a calm lake. I stood on the edge of the bank and looked down. My face was reflected on the surface of the water and I noticed that another small tear rolled down my cheek. But this time I didn't wipe them away. I let it drip into the water so that my reflection blurred for a brief moment. When the small waves evaporated and I could recognize myself again, I saw in the water that someone was standing behind me ... And that someone was Piccolo !!! I took a deep breath and didn't move. Then I felt how he put his hands on my shoulders. A shiver ran through my body and I looked at the floor. Slowly he turned me around. "WHAT SHOUD THAT?" I exclaimed angrily and with tears in my eyes. I put his hands down and took a step away from him."CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT YOU'RE DOING TO GAME WITH ME? SOMETIMES YOU'RE CUTE AND FRIENDLY, THEN YOU BEGIN TO MOUSE AND WANT TO KNOW ANYTHING MORE ABOUT ME AND NOW YOU'RE COMING AGAIN?" I screamed completely beside myself and took another step back. Piccolo stood in front of me with hanging arms and looked really dejected. "I ... it ... I'm sorry!" he whispered softly and blushed with embarrassment. I stood there as if stunned. It was as if he had taken the wind out of my sails ... calm ...! I stared at him in disbelief. "He apologizes!!!" it went through my head and I knew that it had been a great effort for him to get these words out. At that moment the great Namek looked like a schoolboy who had forgotten his homework. "Since we first met I didn't know
