Both made their way through this barren and deserted land. Not a soul. The demons weren't in sight either. A dead silence went around. Incredibly quiet. "Thorsten .... That scares me ... This silence." Said Alex. "You're right. But better than those demons .. Look over there ... That's probably the sun here .." he said. "And there is an abyss over there," added Alex. They went a few more steps until someone shouted, "There they are !!! Afterwards !!!". Thorsten and Alex turned around. The demons amee flocked to them. "Shit!" Shouted Thorsten and you could hear him cursing even more. Both ran towards the abyss. They stopped shortly before that. Demons or Abyss..Demons or Abyss ... Both made up their minds. They looked at each other, took hands and jumped down the abyss. It was dark around them. The end was not yet in sight. Suddenly you heard water flowing. They ended up right in a river. This dragged her along quite a bit.Alex pulled himself ashore, Thorsten followed suit. "Lucky !!!" snorted Alex. She was completely exhausted. Thorsten too. They hung up their things to dry. Only now did they see that the landscape had changed. "A kind of jungle, I would say ..." said Thorsten. "I would have known ... But now let's find shelter ... it's getting dark ..." said Alex. As soon as their things were dry, they found a place where they could stay overnight. They found a cave. Shortly after they found them, they set off to collect some edible and firewood. They came back with firewood, but couldn't find anything to eat. Thorsten made a fire while Alex wondered where they could get something to eat. "I've got it ... fishing ... Give me a stick," said Alex. She made herself a fishing rod out of the stick, a thread out of her sock and a broken hair clip. There were earthworms or other beetles or worms in abundance here.After an hour she came back with 2 fish. Thorsten hung the fish over the fire. "Well ... tastes good ???" asked Alex when the fish were ready. "Better than asparagus or Brussels sprouts," answered Thorsten. Both laughed. But later they worried about their families and friends ... How much they missed the world there. Soon it was pitch dark and they decided to take turns keeping watch while the other slept. Neither of them wanted to wake up the next morning from some monster in their stomach.
