To a new one
The wind whipped across the water at great speed, driving the waves forward. Towards the mainland, the dark waves got bigger and bigger, before they struck several meters high against the strongly jagged cliffs and shattered. It was late afternoon, but the thick black clouds had long since turned the day into night. Lightning flashed across the sky and briefly illuminated the area while heavy rain poured onto the land.
A small inconspicuous wooden hut stood on the shore of the lake. The house looked lonely and deserted, not least because there was no large settlement in the vicinity.
Loud laughter could be heard from the basement. The room was bathed in a restless twilight by several candles. There were many test tubes with different colored liquids on the shelves and cupboards on the walls, and there were also tons of books and a few tools to be found there.
Dr. Miyugo, the owner of the laboratory and the hut, was quite an old and apparently frail man. He had white, rather thin hair and small blue eyes. Dr. Miyugo wore a snow-white smock that almost reached the floor. His gait was stooped and slow with age, but his mind was crystal clear.
Dr. Miyugo leaned over a lifeless, human-looking body that was lying on a metal table. The candlelight flickered and a thunder could be heard from outside. Because of the poor lighting conditions, the body was barely recognizable. The face was completely in the dark. In places a few cables protruded from the figure.Dr. Miyugo worked feverishly on it, after all he wanted his work and his plans done as soon as possible. Another rumble of thunder and then just that gruesome, terrifying laugh.
The ballroom of the Capsule Corporation was festively decorated. The tables were set and Bulma and ChiChi were lighting the candles. Mrs. Briefs had her hands full in the kitchen, after all the cakes and pies had to be enough for several hungry Saiyajins.
"Happy Birthday Piccolo" was written in large letters on a banner.
Piccolo sat grouchily in a corner. He had been wondering for a long time how they'd found out his birthday. Actually, he had never told anyone about it, he was pretty sure of that. He never talked to the Z-Fighters about his private affairs, except maybe with Gohan, but he would never say a word about it, he knew.
Goku came up to the Namek with a friendly smile. “Are you looking forward to the party?” Piccolo didn't answer, just grumbled something incomprehensible into his non-existent beard. Goku patted his shoulder like a companion. "Oh come on, it will be really funny. There is also something great to eat." When he got no answer again, the black-haired Saiyajin went to help his friends with the preparations.
Piccolo didn't like birthdays and celebrations at all. The Namek glanced over at Vegeta, who was leaning against a wall with his arms crossed. The ouji also looked like he could imagine a better way to pass the time. In any case, the two were similar in one respect: they didn't like large crowds.
"Piccolo is the most bad-tempered birthday boy I've ever seen," Trunks said to Gohan. "Well uh ...", Gohan scratched the back of his head, a little embarrassed, "he's just not the type of guy who likes to party. He seems embarrassed. "The half-Saiyan looked sympathetically at Piccolo. He could understand his friend all too well. He had known the Namek long enough to know that he did not want that kind of friendship and affection for him. Piccolo wanted to be tough and inviolable on the outside Gohan sighed at how much he wished that his friend would finally think carefully about his attitude and open up a little more to others, but this wish seemed to remain unfulfilled forever.
"Happy Birthday to you ...", the singing of his friends pulled Gohan out of his thoughts. Bulma and ChiChi brought a large birthday cake to the ballroom. Countless candles burned on it because nobody knew exactly how old Piccolo actually was.
The Namek took a deep breath and blew out all the candles at once. The others applauded approvingly. "Great Piccolo, now you can make a wish," said Goku in his childlike manner."Oh, you make a wish," said the Namek, who finally wanted to have some peace and quiet. "Really really can I ???" Goku's eyes started to light up. He could hardly believe his luck. "Let me think about it ... what do I wish for ..." Vegeta just shook his head uncomprehendingly. He'll probably never grow up.
"Well then, enjoy it," whistled Mrs. Briefs. As soon as she finished the sentence, the Saiyajins started to eat. For minutes only the hungry warriors smacked their lips.
Next up was the karaoke competition. Vegeta was supposed to sing first, but didn't really want to. Piccolo put on his mean grin. "Come on Vegeta finally start or don't you dare?" The Ouji glared at the Namek. He took a deep breath and began to sing. Gohan and Goten covered their ears to be on the safe side. Vegeta started singing and hit almost no note (can you imagine the prince singing?^^ "). Piccolo burst out laughing." You don't call that howling singing, do you? "The prince blushed slightly and then pressed the microphone into Piccolo's hand." You better do it first. "He sat down next to Goku who gave him a friendly smile." I didn't think Vegeta was bad. "" Who cares about your opinion Kakarott. Shut up, "the Saiyan hissed irritably." Gomen Vegeta-sama ... "Goku mumbled.
While the others were laughing at Piccolo's "singing skills", Pan suddenly felt a negative aura. Suddenly she became very serious. She looked around. Nobody but her seemed to have noticed anything. How can that be? Don't you notice anything? Pan went over to Gohan. “Dad, do you also feel this negative aura?” Gohan concentrated briefly, but could not notice anything unusual. "You must have imagined that Pan. On earth ... no, there is peace in the whole universe." Pan scowled at her father.“But I felt the negative energy very clearly.” “Yes, of course, my little one.” Baka! And he calls himself my father. The other Z-warriors didn't seem to have felt anything either. Everyone just smiled at Pan when she spoke of a strong negative energy. All right, then I'll just get to the bottom of the whole thing on my own.
Pan stepped out of the capsule coperation and took off. A short time later, Trunks caught up with them. "Where do you want to go all by yourself?" Asked the purple-haired Saiyajin. Pan didn't look at him, but stubbornly flew on in the direction from which the negative energy was coming. Trunks held her arm. “Hey… don't you want to tell me what's going on?” “No, why should I, you don't believe me after all.” The young Saiyajin looked at her blankly. “Why shouldn't I believe you?” “Because everybody else doesn't either.” “But I'm not everyone else,” Trunks tried to convince her otherwise. Pan sighed. She didn't feel like arguing with Trunks now, so she decided to tell him everything.
"Mmh ... so that's it. Then let's fly over there and see. I just hope the earth isn't in serious danger." Pan's heart jumped a little. She was so glad Trunks believed her. Of all the people in the entire world, he was the one who cared most to her.
They've been flying for a while now. The sky had darkened and the rain soaked her clothes and hair. They saw a hut by a lake. Pan stopped shortly before, it had to be here, she was quite sure. She landed and looked around, actually there was nothing unusual here. Trunks landed next to her. Pan pointed to the house. "Let's go in, okay?" "I don't know. We can't just walk into someone else's apartment," Trunks snapped. "You're not scared, are you?" Pan looked at him suspiciously. “No, no”, Trunks fought off, “how did you come up with that?” “Well, then everything is fine.” Pan went off and slowly opened the door.Trunks wanted to say something first, but followed Pan without saying another word.
It was pitch dark in the house. With a small ball of energy, the two at least got some light. The hut seemed empty and deserted, there wasn't even any old furniture here. As they looked around, Pan came across a rotten wooden hatch on the floor. It finally opened with a loud creak. An old stone staircase led down to the basement of the hut. "Hey Pan, be quiet," Trunks whispered. "Hey relax. Nobody's here." Suddenly they heard a loud scary laugh. Pan and Trunks, who were about to go down the stairs, flinched. "What was that?" Trunks asked with a queasy feeling in the stomach area. “I don't know,” Pan paused, “let's see.” She bravely went down the stairs first. The girl takes me to hell's kitchen again. Trunks sighed, then decided to follow her without further ado.Fortunately, the stairs were made of stone, so they continued to go unnoticed.
Pan watched the doctor through a crack in the door as he completed his cyborg. Trunks crept up to her. "Well?" Pan didn't answer, Dr. Miyugo activates his robot. His joints squeaked a bit, but otherwise he seemed to be finished. "Kuso…" Pan muttered, "I think Trunks was right, we are in danger."
Meanwhile, out over the lake, another figure had appeared. He stopped in front of the house and looked down thoughtfully. He had his monkey tail wrapped around his waist. He didn't know why, but something strange seemed to be going on here.
