Chapter 2: The Fight Against Cell
It was morning and everyone on the island was sleeping, only Piccolo was already awake. He stood in front of the large window and looked out over the sea. He didn't know why he couldn't sleep either, but he attributed it to his anger at Cell, even though it felt a little different. It was as if he had butterflies in his stomach that were constantly flying around. Yesterday, when they arrived here, there was no trace of this strange feeling at all. Son Goku was still not doing much better, but he seemed to be over the hill. In a few days he would surely be fine again. Piccolo just hoped the cyborgs wouldn't show up by then. To be on the safe side, Son Goku had extinguished his aura so that they wouldn't feel him even if they were standing in front of the door and he and the others would keep them away from him as long as they could.
Suddenly he heard engine noises and a little later he saw three all-too-familiar figures approaching the house. "This is where it gets interesting," he whispered and turned to the others who were sleeping peacefully on the living room floor.
"Hey wake up guys. We have visitors," he woke her up.
"What kind of book?" Asked Yamcha sleepily.
"Visit!", Piccolo repeated, "And I would guess that it is not a pleasant visit. Unless one of you is Cell," he added.
"The cyborgs?" Asked Kuririn, panting. Piccolo nodded. Suddenly it came alive in the room.
"Cyborgs? Where?" Shouted Muten-Roshi, startled. Piccolo pointed to the window where you can find C-16, C-17, and
C-18 who had demonstratively stood in front of the window.
"Oh shit!" Tenshinhan groaned. "Son Goku"
"Quiet! Son Goku is not here, understood", Piccolo impressed the other. Then they went outside.
"Lakonnia! Do you feel that too?", Kinakari stopped her sister.
"If that's supposed to be an allusion again ..."
"No, seriously. Somebody is releasing a lot of energy right now."
"Hm ... you're right. But I can't feel the enemy," said Lakonnia.
"Somebody has to fight these other cyborgs," Kinakari suggested.
"Yes, and I know who too. That mindless idiot.", Lakonnia scolded and made a disparaging face.
"What do you mean by that? What's wrong with God fighting?" Asked the red-haired girl blankly.
"Kin, you don't get it. Cell has to team up with these cyborgs to become invincible, right?"
"Yes, well. Then God has every reason to fight. He has to neutralize the cyborgs so that Cell doesn't get the power he wants."
"Oh man. But if that damn green guy is fighting, Cell will notice. And whoosh he is where he wants to be, namely with the cyborgs. ", explained Lakonnia.
"You're right," Kinakari agreed with the black-haired girl.
"I know. God! As if you didn't have enough to do, now you can also play the nanny.", Lakonnia complained and changed the direction of her flight. "Well, it has something good again, we don't have to look for Cell, he'll come all alone."
"Piccolo is pretty strong," said Kuririn and looked over to the island where Piccolo and the cyborgs were fighting a bitter fight.
"Still, it's a stupid idea that we should stay here," Tenshinhan complained.
"But we don't have a significant chance against these cyborgs, so we would just get in his way," replied Yamcha.
"Take care of Piccolo," whispered Gohan.
"Hey, my darling. Piccolo is already grown up, he can take care of himself.Don't worry about him, "Chichi soothed her son and stroked his hair.
"Not bad at all, Piccolo," C-17 called out to his opponent when there was a brief pause in the fight. C-16 and C-18 sat on the rocks nearby, watching intently as it happened.
"I'd like to return the compliment, but I don't want to be seen here as a liar.", Piccolo grinned and started another attack.
"It's not the same as it was in our first fight," said C-16, more to himself than intended for C-18.
"What? What do you mean?" She asked him with an astonished look.
"He's a lot stronger now than when we first met," replied the cyborg.
Blow followed blow, step after step, attack after attack. Piccolo and C-17 seemed to form a unit and they were moving so fast that you could hardly see them with the naked eye. But suddenly everything seemed to revolve around Piccolo, he perceived an aura, an aura that had previously always been extinguished. It broke away from C-17 and flew higher in the air. And then he saw him. Cell flew over to the island with a nasty grin. "Oh no!" Exclaimed Piccolo and he landed on solid ground. C-17 followed.
"What is it? Already done?" He asked and the arrogance in his voice was unmistakable.
"Listen to me, Cyborg. You have to get out of here as soon as possible, understand," Piccolo said in a serious voice.
"What? Do you really think you can give me orders? To get rid of me, you have to come up with something better," replied C-17.
"What kind of part is that?" C-18 called, pointing to the air where Cell was preparing to land.
"You really should get out of here," said C-16.
"You must have gone nuts," C-17 snapped at him. "Why should I run away? I am the strongest cyborg that was ever created, I am not running from such an ugly grasshopper."
"Ha Ha Ha! Finally I can find you", Cell laughed happily. "Now I just have to suck both of you and I'll be invincible."
"That I don't laugh. What do you want to do with us? Sucking out? Well, you have ideas. If you can't even defeat me, how are you going to suck me up?", Asked the black-haired cyborg Cell.
"Don't be so impatient. You will know soon enough," predicted Cell, creating a ball of energy on his hand and hurling it at C-17. But before he could react, Piccolo had placed himself between the two and so intercepted the attack.
"Go! Get out," he hissed at the cyborg behind him, but the cyborg just looked at him in amazement.
“This is how you see Piccolo again, isn't it?” Cell strode towards the Namek.
"Oh no! Piccolo is losing energy", Son Gohan shouted desperately.
"Cell is bothering him," Muten-Roshi agreed.
"We have to help him," said Yamcha. "If Cell gets the two cyborgs, we really can't do anything anymore."
"No! We would only make Cell stronger with our energy. We couldn't defeat the cyborgs, how are we going to do something against Cell?", Tenshinhan replied. His gaze fell on Trunks, who was standing with clenched fists and staring at the floor. The air around him seemed to glow, but suddenly he lifted his head and smiled. Tenshinhan followed his gaze.
Piccolo was lying in front of the rock against which Cell had thrown him, breathing heavily, and was unable to move at the moment. With a loud laugh, Cell turned back to C-17.
"And now to both of us!"
“I'm looking forward to it!” With these words, C-17 began to attack Cell, but the latter dodged his attacks. Then he sent the cyborg out of his eyes red laser beams, which only injured his arm because he had avoided it in time. But Cell continued his attack. The laser beams were followed by energy balls, the energy balls with kicks and blows. After a short while, C-17 appeared to have a wound all over his body, but he did not think about giving up.
"Well, let's get it serious," Cell said, grabbing C-17 and lifting his tail. The top began to open until it looked like a giant funnel.
"I don't want to end up in this part," gasped C-17, but his resistance was unsuccessful. Cell laughed and with a gleam in his eyes he steered the end of his tail closer and closer to C-17. But suddenly C-17 was no longer in front of him. Cell looked around and saw the same girl that had challenged him the day before. She was standing in front of C-17 and seemed to be looking at his wound. The two seemed to be talking.
> How did she do it? Didn't I have it tight? <
When she turned her head her eyes sparkled and she shrugged apologetically. A grin crossed her lips.
"You shouldn't try harder now. I'll take care of the little problem there. As soon as you're OK again, get out of here."If he gets you, it won't look good for this world. ", Lakonnia said to C-17, who looked at her confused. But immediately afterwards he had composed himself again.
"How do you think I'll let you do all the fun?" He asked her angrily.
"Because I'm telling you. You stay here and try to stay out of the fight as much as possible.", She said and before he could reply, she made her way towards Cell.
"What is he up to?" He grumbled.
"She is always like this," he heard a lovely voice next to him and when he turned in that direction, he looked into a smiling face. He didn't know what to say, like leaving it to stare at the girl.
"It hurt you a lot, but we'll have it in a minute," she said and began to hold her hands over his wounds, which then stopped hurting and healed.
"What a surprise," said Cell Lakonnia.
"Wonderful, isn't it?" Said the girl.
"Your little friend seems to be taking care of C-17," Cell remarked.
"Well, your attacks are just too lax to be cured," she said arrogantly.
"Hmm ... so Piccolo was pretty impressed with my attacks," Cell laughed and nodded his head towards the rocks.
"That's nice for him," she said sarcastically and looked at Piccolo with slight glee. "But it didn't kill him, right? So it doesn't matter."
"Well, then I can do that now", Cell grinned and wanted to send one of his energy
