With the Ferdinándos:

“Darling, get up!” Francésca opened the curtains in her daughter's large room and woke Juanita. "Mother, it's only 6:30 am!" Complained the girl with a sleepy look at the clock on her bedside table and rubbed her eyes. “I know we have to be at the airport at eight thirty so that we can check in in peace and not miss the plane.” Juanita got up sullenly and put on her favorite dress, a short, dark blue flamenco costume. Then she did her hair, tucked a white flower into it, washed her face, put some lotion on, brushed her teeth, and went down to the breakfast table. When the family had finished eating, the parents got ready and then they all got into a large black limousine that drove them to the airport. After half an hour the Ferdinándos were already on the plane to San Diego. Of course they flew 1st class and so they got the best seats. Juanita, who had never flown, sat the whole time at one of the many little windows on the plane and looked down at the thick clouds in the hope that they would reveal the earth. The apparently impenetrable cloud cover thinned over the vast Atlantic Ocean and Juanita could look down on the blue sea.

When they arrived in San Diego, it was tomorrow the next day (I don't know how long it takes to fly there from Spain, at least a very, very long time. I don't know the time difference either, but I think it's at least 12 hours , my father said ...). It was a particularly beautiful morning in the big city and the family was taken to the Grand Hotel in a luxury taxi. A page (not Trunks) opened the car door for Juanita and she got out.The girl looked around and smiled. "Oh, don Juan, if you would have come with me. It's so beautiful here ..." she whispered softly and followed her parents into the hotel lobby. Another page (again not Trunks) accompanied them to the suites. One was for the parents, the other for the daughter. A chambermaid wanted to give Juanita the luggage, but she wanted to do it herself and sent the surprised woman out of the room. “May I bring you something else, Madame?” “No thanks, you can go now.” The girl got to work and carefully sorted her clothes into the large, wooden cupboard.

Trunks had gone out early today with the dogs of the hotel guests and so had a hard time with the golden retriever, the sheepdog, the collie, the pit bull, the pinscher and the poodle. The six dogs literally let him fly over the streets and meadows when they pulled him behind them on a leash. After a few inconveniences, Trunks had his 'colleagues' under control again and walked back to the hotel with them. There he brought the mutts to their masters and mistresses and served other guests, held the doors open for them, dragged their suitcases into the room, ...

When Juanita was done with the clearing, she decided to lie down a little by the pool and put on her bikini with a tiger pattern. Then she smeared herself with sunscreen, slipped into beach sandals and a bathrobe, took a soft towel, her sunglasses and made her way to the large hotel pool. At first she got lost in the big building, but when she met a page (this time it's not Trunks again) who showed her the way, she found her way.
