Thick fog settled over the city as Shorty and David crept around the house ... Sam's room was at the back in the thick undergrowth of the rose bushes ... rather impractical, but Shorty would have fought his way through a lion cage for them ... br />
"Do you really think that everything will be as easy as we thought it would be ??" David whispered softly ...

"Do you want to pinch? Please .. I'll get you out of there ... no matter what the cost ... otherwise your ass will knock you dead ... I'll never let that happen ...." Shorty's expression mirrored his full determination again ....

"Of course I won't pinch ... I just meant ..." David said a bit meekly ... now they were already standing in front of the big bed of roses ... kind of sick, Shorty thought.You hold your own daughter behind these fascinating flowers, like an animal ... as appearances are deceiving ... In the room everything was dark ... nothing moved ... no sound could be heard ... Shorty pulled cautiously took a long needle out of his backpack and started fiddling with the lock ... after a few seconds it clicked briefly and the window was open ... very quietly and smoothly, like a cat, Shorty climbed through the window ... as he did Didn't know the room, it was almost impossible to move around and find your way in the pitch-dark room ... but after a few careful steps he hit something hard with his knee ... he felt carefully and felt something soft with his hands ... that had to be the bedspread or Sam ... then he ticked the soft something and it moved ....

It all seemed a bit strange to Shorty ... what was his sweetie? he wondered ...

"Show me ..." raised her T-shirt ... but didn't think what you actually think, but he was just worried ... rightly as he then saw ... Sam as a whole The back was covered with thick red welts, which looked as if they came from a whip or something similar, and bruises ... when Shorty looked closer at Sam in the light he also noticed her thick red beaten temple and his collar burst completely ....

"That lousy lying pig ... what is this ass doing ?? ... He can beat up people his age, but not his own daughter ..." Shorty had to keep himself in check that he didn't start yelling ....

"Hey !! The train !!" David said at that moment through the window ...
"You idiot !! I was really scared !! Now I thought the old man is standing ..." but Shorty couldn't get any further, because at that moment the door of Sam's room was pushed open so violently and "the old man" was standing actually there ...

"Hurry up, Sam !! Let's get out of here !!" shouted Shorty and grabbed his short by the hand to pull her with him ... but Sam's father wasn't slow either and grabbed his daughter by the other hand ...

"You are such a lousy father ... You don't deserve to be called a father ... what you do with your daughter ... I would have reported you long ago and made sure that you go to jail. ... you can be really happy that Samy is here in this room, otherwise ... I don't know if I would have let you live ... and now let's go if you want to avoid worse ... . "Shorty hadn't yelled or hadn't gotten louder ... it was precisely this ominously calm one that gave Sam goose bumps ... she didn't recognize her Shorty at all ... he ... was ready for her with hers Father ... or he already did ...

Shorty backed away in small steps ... but he still had that almost crazy look ...

"David!!" his voice was calm and quiet, but with a very threatening undertone .... "You will take her with you now ... you have to go to the train !! I'll be right after ... when I have removed the rubbish here .... "Shorty jerked Sam into David's arms and David just took her with him ....

Sam resisted ... she wanted to stay with Shorty, but against the very strong David she didn't have the slightest chance ... after about two hours David and Sam arrived at the train station ... it was now almost six O'clock ... Sam was completely exhausted ... she couldn't believe it all ... well ... she had escaped the clutches of her mentally depressed father, but what about Shorty?Would he ... come too? She hoped so, but she felt her temples and knew exactly what her father was capable of ...

"Come on, Sam !! Our train is about to leave !! 2 David pulled her arm but this time Sam struggled harder ... she used all her strength that she still had ...

"No !! I'll wait here !!" with a strong jerk she tore herself away and leaned against a chalk white wall with folded arms ... "you can do me !! I'm not going or driving anywhere !! Not without Shorty !!" David sighed heavily ... he would can't get her out of here ....

"All right ... we wait !! But at least we go to the station restaurant and eat something ... I'm hungry !!" Sam nodded briefly and then they went into the small, musty restaurant ... they ate and drank and talked ... though it was strange ... they talked about school and all sorts of unimportant things ...

Almost two hours had now passed ... and no trace of Shorty ... Sam was getting restless ...
"Um ... David? I'll just go outside ... maybe he's waiting there or has already started ... maybe someone saw him ..."

"It's good, but ... watch out ... don't that this psycho pig is there somewhere ..." David looked worried, but Sam went out with a fleeting smile and onto the platform, which was still very sparsely busy ... merely two bums frolicked around a portion of french fries that was started .... but what was that ?? A strange thing came shuffling and snorting towards Sam ... she noticed how she got goose bumps ... what was that? After a few seconds this thing came under the light of a flickering lamp and Sam was shocked to see who was standing there in front of her .....
