Chapter: Foggy nights 9
@ gray-eye: TW: "How dare you ridicule my remarkable authority ??? * grudge *" (Note from Fortune: "Off to the dark corner with you, this is my picking up to gray- eye! ")
So, now to the two of us: WOW, your picking room was so long ... remarkable! * relocate *
Oh yes ... because of the autograph * smile *, Well, I have to disappoint you there. I will probably never bring out a book (and I hope that was just a joke on your part, otherwise I will sink into the ground with embarrassment) * gg *
@ Paen777: Well, I think the pocket knife would have made a more impression * g * The screwdriver looked very threatening in those hands, but I won't let that stop me from breaking off in such "ugly" places1 ;-)
@ Aika-Angel: Hello little angel !!! * wide grin *
So that with Piccolo, which you missed so much in the last part, I will now compensate you in this part! (I'll give it away, but don't tell anyone: It appears in there again !!!)
Oh yes ... to your question:
... YES I WANT! ... (but only if you finally stop smoking) * laughs * (Although ... then I have to part with my dream man: Piccolo!) * Lol *
@Kira_w: I know that was a bit nasty at the end! (That's how I am) But sometimes such a bad joke has to be, right ?! * hug *
@Amiel: You want to send one of your murderers over to me * screaming * * screaming away *
What are you doing to me ??? * huddled in a corner *
Please, please don't! * plead * I'll be very good too! And if it cannot be avoided, then please ask the killer from your new FF! * g *
@ VegetaW17: Sure I'll keep going, already happened! * laugh *
Ok, * phew * now I'll go on! (Thanks again to my 6 regular readers: THANK YOU !!!) (and to all other readers too * g *)
* The torn up curtain *
* quieter lower threshold drum roll *
Part 9
All the bones in my body cracked and I curled up into a small, wretched heap, whimpering softly. The pain that flooded my body was so cruel that I couldn't even breathe in anymore. The fabric of the bathrobe stuck to my skin so tightly that you would think I was sweating from glue. But if you looked at the color of the wet spots, you knew that it was something completely different!
I lifted my eyes with an effort. They were very heavy! The outlines of my surroundings blurred in my eyes, but I was irritated to see that everything was bathed in a bright light. Was I dead?
A few long, painful seconds later my vision returned to normal and I let out a startled sound as I realized where I was lying ... In the bathroom of the Palace of God. Where I passed out.
Although the excruciating agony in my body made it difficult for me to think clearly, I did realize something. It suddenly fell like scales from my eyes why I woke up!
A loud knock tore me out of my trance-like state and brought me back to reality.
"Jule ?! Are you still in there? Uranai Baba has the second energy ball with her!" said a deep, bad-tempered voice outside the bathroom. I rolled over, groaning, and stared desperately at the locked door.
"P ... Piccolo! ... Ah ... Please, help me!" I uttered in anguish and, exhausted, dropped my head on the tiles. A small trickle of blood flowed from my mouth into the large bright red pool that had now spread under my body.
At the same moment, with a violent crack, the door flew off its hinges. I saw a pair of brown shoes that stood in the doorway for a split second and then ran over to me. Two strong hands grasped me underneath and lifted me up, but just this light and careful touch elicited a painful whimper.
"What happened here? Was that the dream guardian?" asked Piccolo and hurried towards the palace exit. I could tell by the tall man's tone of voice that he seemed concerned.
"Y ... yes! I was passed out! He ... He was waiting for me in a dream!" I whispered pressed. No sooner had I said these words than we reached the platform outside the palace. In the corner of my eye I saw Dende running towards us with a horrified expression on his face ...
I nervously tugged at a long strand of hair that was fluttering in front of my face. I stared blankly into the endless depths beneath my feet, while my legs dangled over the edge of the large platform. A constant tremor ran through my entire body and I knew that I would never forget the memories that tormented me now.
Although Dende had healed me, the wounds that had been torn open in my soul could not be closed so easily!A tiny tear ran down my face. Why? Why only me? There were so many millions of people in this world! Why did I have to be the one who had to go through this ?!
I looked desperately at the cloud cover under my feet ... How would it feel to fall into there? To be free for a brief moment. To let the wind carry you like a bird. To be able to forget everything for a few seconds!
I slowly rose from my seat and stood close to the edge of the platform. The tips of my shoes lightly touched the end of the tiles and suddenly I felt kind of happy. It would just all be over! With a relieved sigh, I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. A fresh wind that smelled of a meadow of flowers blew around my nose. And then I spread my arms like a bird and ...
"Are you stupid???" someone snapped loudly. A strong hand gripped my right upper arm hard and yanked me back.Startled, I stumbled away from the end of the platform and crashed into the man behind me. He pulled me around and stared angrily into my eyes: "What was that supposed to be !? You can die soon enough! Besides, we finally know how you can escape from these dream worlds! Then why this suicide attempt? ! "
I looked at Piccolo with blank eyes. Why should he understand me too? He was so completely different from any normal person who had feelings.
"Leave me alone! I don't give a shit. I don't want to anymore ... I can't take it all!" I shouted loudly as more and more tears ran down my face. And then I looked angrily in the face of my counterpart: "Besides, what are you going to tell me? Have you been through what I have been through? ... Have you?" I had screamed the last words at Piccolo so desperately that my whole body was trembling with tension.
A large hand gently placed on my shoulder. "No, I actually didn't. But I can tell you that you are the only one who can defeat the monster! If you die, the Dream Guardian will just be able to continue killing without us doing anything about it. Because we will never know where he'll show up next! " said the great Namek softly, but in a meaningful voice. A little sob escaped me: "A ... but ..."
"No buts! Don't you want this creature to get its just punishment !? ... And besides, you will not be alone with this task. I will stay by your side and make sure that an incident like this does not happen again ! " said Piccolo seriously. His eyes were piercing at me. In my head, the images of the last meeting with the Dream Guardian emerged again. Fear spread inside me, but I tried to suppress it and bravely nodded my head."Maybe you are right! I just have to do it ... Even if it is very difficult for me!" I whispered depressed. Then I looked Piccolo in the eye and smiled briefly: "And if it gets too much for me I just plunge into a deep hole!"
The big Namek now smiled as well: "You woke up when you jumped down from this balcony. What was it like when you were visited by the dream guard for the first time? Did you escape because you jumped down somewhere?" br />
I put a finger to my lip thoughtfully. "No. That was different. The dream took place in a forest where there was nowhere to fall down! But, wait. When this cattle found me, I just closed my eyes and wished I would fall into a deep hole!" I sighed briefly when the memory came back to me, but I immediately continued: "Probably, I had concentrated so much on this idea that it had the same effect as falling into a real abyss!"A short laugh burst out of me." It's the same as before. If I had nightmares as a kid and I knew I was dreaming, I would just step on something high and jump off of there to wake up! "
"Well then. Let's hope there's always an abyss nearby when you're in danger!" Piccolo just said, but there was an undertone in his voice that I couldn't place. I sensed what was on his mind: If I woke up unexpectedly, he would be trapped in my dream all alone and helpless! But I would never let it get that far, I was sure of that ...
Oh, how maudlin * sniff * (gulp down a portion of ridicule)
Well, this part wasn't that scary once, but let's see what's to come ...
