(Nini's point of view)



I quickly let my eyes wander over the square. Smoke rises, I hear screams and suddenly it starts to rain. The rain pelts down on the collapsed houses, putting out the fire and driving away the smoke. I walk through the rain and turn my gaze left and right every few seconds. Then I see two small children. I walk up to them and realize that they are a girl and a boy. The girl holds the little boy tight in her arms. Tears well up in my eyes and mix with the rain. They both remind me so much of my little brother and me.Suddenly a bloodcurdling bang reaches my ear and I see the roof of the house collapse over the two children. I don't think twice, walk over to the two of them, push them away and then jump to the side



Burning, stabbing and throbbing pain runs through my foot. I pick myself up and look at the two children. I suppress the pain and manage a weak smile.

"Are you okay? Have you hurt yourselves?" I ask the two of them.

"No. We're fine. But your foot is trapped." Says the blonde girl and crawls over to me.

"Oh, it's not that bad. It'll be fine. And now run as fast as you can to the cathedral. They'll help you there." I say and try to free my foot. I have to stifle a painful cry and squeeze my eyes shut.

"No, we will help you first. Come on, Luca, help me!" the girl with the green eyes calls on the little brown-haired boy.

Together they tamper with the boulder and I can pull my foot out.

"And now run as fast as you can to the cathedral. I'll follow you." I mean definitely and point my hand at the half-broken church.

"And you will come safely? Angela?" Luca looks at the girl.

"Sure, little brother. She will follow." Angela takes her brother by the hand and starts walking.

I need a few seconds to build up my strength and then push myself up. But I will certainly not run back. I have to keep looking. There are definitely still some "people" under the rubble. It's still raining. I keep walking through the rain to a small square. The ground under my feet is slippery and I have to be careful not to fall. My leg hurts terribly, but I clench my teeth. Then I see a young man with long black hair. His face is contorted with pain and he is holding his right with his left hand.I run towards him as fast as I can and stop in front of him.

"What happened?" I ask and look at him.

"What are you doing here? Get out of here! It's far too dangerous for you here. Go!" the young man wants to drive me away.

"Out of the question. First of all, I am not you or you, but you. My name is Nini and I will take you to the cathedral now. Come on." I say and support him. Suddenly I get frightened and stop. The black-haired man's right hand is gone. He is bleeding profusely and holds his elbow.

"Hurry up now!" I mean and start walking.

"What's your name?" I ask to keep the man conscious.

"I'm Culpo. But you can call me Cull." Cull coughs.

Together we walk through the rain until we finally reach the cathedral.

“NINI!” Kai walks up to me and takes me in his arms.

"I heard from the two children that you were injured.And since you didn't come back, I was worried. "Kai looks at me and wipes the rain off my face.

"I'm fine. My leg can be taken care of later. Help me. We have to take him to Gabriel and Michael. Kai nods and we support Cull together.



"Nini!" calls Kira and comes up to me. "I was already worried. Angela and Luca told me everything. Are you okay?" Kira looks at me.

"Yes, thank you. Everything is okay!" I say and smile weakly.

"Gabriel!" I call and go to Gabriel with Kai, Cull and Kira. He takes Cull from me and puts him on a stretcher.

"Kai, Nini! Come on! I'll bring you back. There is nothing you can do here. Come on!" Michael says with a wave of his hand.

"NO!" I say stubbornly and harshly. "I won't leave Kira here alone. And neither will Cull."

Kai looks at me in amazement. I know he doesn't understand. But I've had the problem several times.I don't ask anyone to understand my ideals and reactions. But that's the way it is.

"You can't do anything for Culpo. Kira can come with me. She's still too weak anyway. Come on now!" my Gabriel and looks at Michael. He nods and we're back in the castle.



"Come on Nini, I'll bandage your foot!" says Kira and looks at me. I turn my gaze to Kai and stand in front of him.

"Are you okay? Are you okay?" I ask and rub his cheek.

"Yes, everything is okay. Your foot really needs to be bandaged. Come on. I'll take a shower in the meantime. See you later!" says Kai and wants to go.

"Kai !!" I say and hold his hand back. He turns and looks at me.

"Are you really OK?" i look at him. Kai looks pretty worn out. Today's event weighs on him. Even more than me. I cannot expect the person who is so important to me to say what I have seen now.He couldn't take it. I don't want Kai to be worse off.

"Yes, everything is fine! Please don't worry!" says Kai. I can't do anything else and I hug him.

“If you say so, I will believe you.” I whisper and lift my head.

"Yes, you can believe me. I'm just a little tired. Nothing else." Says Kai and smiles weakly. Then he gives me a kiss on the forehead and disappears into the bathroom. I sit on the bed while Kira treats my foot. Still, I'm very worried about Kai.



(Kai's point of view)

My hair is wet on my face, my clothes are stuck to my body. My right hand is still hurting, the bandage around it is wet and the wound is burning like crazy. But I try to suppress this pain. There are worse things! So I keep running, looking for victims in the rubble. A faint sound reaches my ear. Immediately I run to the rubble from which it comes.The shouting gets louder and louder. There must be someone else under the rubble! My hands remove chunks of concrete, dig deeper and deeper. My fingers are sore and all red and torn. But I can't give up! Must not be helpless and certainly not think about what I thought I saw earlier. No, don't think about it again! I have to keep working! Like a robot, I remove more and more stones. The screams get louder and spur me on even more. I want to be able to save a life, at least one life! I mustn't fail! There, part of the body becomes free. With the last of my strength I push away the last chunks of concrete. A young woman comes out panting and crying. She is holding a small baby in her arms. It no longer breathes!

My heart contracts at the sight. The woman's face is contorted with pain, but not from the physical pain!
