Wounds





Wounds that burn on the soul,

cannot be seen from the outside.

Are you silent because nobody wants to know?

Your soul screams - your mouth is silent.

You're trying to ignore the pain,

I focus on your life.

The wounds bleed softly,

because your thoughts are always on a journey,

to the past.

That way you are never set free.

You freeze among people,

I try to talk to you all the time

I get closer to you bit by bit

and your eyes cast a spell on me.

I experienced almost the same thing as you,

I cried too and couldn't find peace.

We've been together for so long now

and so many flames go out.

Those who give me warmth

and give me strength to live.

I mean the ones I saw in your eyes,
when we were close.

But that time is long gone

you move away from me, are you so free?

I see fear and pain in your eyes again,

I want to help you, but I'm no good for anything.

When I want to hug you,

then you don't react, just keep quiet.

What are you afraid of,

that you are so afraid

You used to hug me,

now I miss any touch, I'm cold and not warm.

You suffer from that too,

listen to your heart, then you will finally have peace!

Please tell me what's on your mind,

just be you, i listen to you.

I can be with you

and you see, you are not alone here.

I know I can't heal your wounds right away,

but take the time to linger

Don't be afraid of the night,

I protect you with care.

No more bad things will happen to you,

As long as we go our way together

We'll try to forget

but do we really want to measure ourselves in this?

I don't think so,

because we will never forget the reason for being together!
